It was the best tour we've taken on our trip. Our tour guide Josh was very knowledgeable and have a rich knowledge on history of the city and all the sites we've visited, he actually knows a lot about everything. Josh had great storytelling ability and was able to keep my teen kids engaged and away from using their phones for the 2+ hour tour.
The tour overall was good in length as our family was starting to getting tired after 2+ hours of walking all over the city, but still had enough energy to walk back to our parking spot. It covered all the main historic sites and would DEFINITELY recommend this tour with Josh!

Thank you for this amazing review! I am so glad (but not surprised) that Josh gave you what you consider to be the best tour on your trip. Josh is an incredible wealth of knowledge and there is nothing he loves more than passing that on to his guests. Like our other wonderful guides, Josh has a great ability to craft each tour to his guests, so no two experiences are alike.

Rick Heimann provided my wife and me with an informative, very enjoyable walk through the historical neighborhood. He placed the buildings in the context of the founding of our nation as well as placing early Philadelphia itself in the context of other cites along the seaboard. The founding fathers took on new life; the "ghost" house of Ben Franklin, outlined at its actual location on the ground and diagramed in the air by beams showing its shape and height, was eerily provocative. Last but not least, our fee for the tour included a drink at the end during which we chatted with Rick as if we were all old friends. A terrific experience.

What a great way to walk around historical old Philadelphia! Our tour guide Rick really helped us understand the historical and modern significance of everything we saw. (So much more than we could have known on our own). The group was small enough to allow a more interactive experience. Rick answered all questions and comments with insight. We were invited to finish the tour with a drink at a nearby tavern which led to more great conversation. We highly recommend for anyone wanting to dig deeper into the wonderful history of Philadelphia!

Thank you Adam! Rick surely does make history come to life in Old City. There is so much that happened in that neighborhood, it's impossible to learn it all without a guide. And what better way to end a tour than with a nice cold beverage or local snack?

Our guide talked about everything but the founding fathers. For instance, in front of the Carpenters Hall where the first Continental Congress met, he talked more about the carpenters guild and how they rented out their building to the different people who were using them to build for them. It was much extraneous information without concentrating on the topic that we signed up for. We did an earlier tour with another company that was excellent, making the contrast to this tour even more apparent and disappointing.

The small group size allowed flexibility & made it a very enjoyable, informative experience. Our guide, Rick, was incredibly knowledgeable and tailored the tour to make it interesting for both us parents and our kids. I highly recommend this walking tour as a way to learn about our founding fathers and old city Philadelphia!

Excellent tour with Nina, a Philadelphia native who love loves her city! The tour requires two hours of walking but on level ground at an easy pace. The group was small so we could hear Nina well and easily ask questions. We highly recommend the tour as an overview of the historic area to help identify must sees for day two. Philadelphia is a clean and prosperous city in the tour areas showing beautifully maintained grounds and buildings. Nina provided an excellent snapshot of the most significant and historic parts of Philadelphia.

The tour was awesome! It was our first time in Philadelphia and the perfect introduction. We were only in town for a day and felt by the end of the tour we got to know all the most important parts and plenty in between. Our guide Adam was warm, friendly, and most important knowledgeable. He answered many of our questions and was filled with lots of fun facts about every aspect of the city, new and old. The tour was well paced so you could get to know each stop, overall it was a super positive experience and I would absolutely recommend a tour with Adam. Wether you’re brand new to the city or have been before, it was an exciting and educational time we were sad when it was over!

Thank you Alexis and Richard for this incredible review! It was my pleasure to show you around Old City and give you an introduction to Philly. Hopefully you will be back because there is a ton more to explore.
Be sure to check out Miami Urban Adventures too! Like we discussed, they've got great experiences in Wynwood and Little Havana.
Safe travels!

The tour was called History in HD in the GoPass Booklet. I believe it is also called the Founding Fathers Tour. This was well done and very interesting. It covered a lot of interesting information as well as how to get to places that might be interesting to explore later. It provided gems not covered by other tours. For example, the stained glass artwork at the Curtis Publishing Building was the most intricate stained glass artwork with complexity I have never seen before. Our guide was knowledgeable and suggested how to look up things if we had more interest in them.

The tour is a nice walking tour of the historic area of downtown Philadelphia. It provides a nice overview of colonial life during the founding of America.
Nina was a good tour guide as she has spent most of her life living in the city. The 2 hour tour we took started at 10:30 and finished in-time for lunch at a restaurant. The tour picked up refreshments and we bought some delicious Philly steak sandwiches. Overall a nice tour for a West Coast family’s first visit to Philadelphia. This family had no issues concerning Covid and felt the people of Philadelphia were respectful about others and mostly wore masks inside and outside

There was just two of us on this tour so it was like having a private guide. Nina was friendly and knowledgeable and her pride in her hometown is evident and contagious. She was easy to engage and very accomodating. I highly recommend this tour as a way to get to know the city and to figure out where to return and explore further at a later date.

The duration of the tour is 2 hours, but if your're asking distance, I'm not sure. If the time seems long, it flies by - so much good information and the tour guides keep it exciting at every turn!
I would imagine anything less would be rushing it - lots to see!

Hi Brian, both the tour and the museum I recommend in my review are open 7 days per week according to their websites. Hope this helps. I highly recommend doing both. I learned more about the birth of America in one day than in my whole school career!
