We did this tour on a freezing cold day in January with our awesome guide Rick. It was just me and my wife and Rick and it was great. We learned so much about the founding days of our country that we never knew. Rick was extremely knowledgeable and personable and I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. Even if you think you know the history from school there are so many intriguing back stories that really bring the history and people of the founding of the U.S. to life.

This tour was amazing!!!! Easiest way I can explain it is walking through Philly with a friend who is willing to give you a Master Class on the history of Philly! Adam was an incredible tour guide. He engaged the kids and was willing to answer all our questions!! Very knowledgeable!! I highly recommend this tour and if you get Adam you have hit the jackpot. We loved it!!

Rick Heimann provided my wife and me with an informative, very enjoyable walk through the historical neighborhood. He placed the buildings in the context of the founding of our nation as well as placing early Philadelphia itself in the context of other cites along the seaboard. The founding fathers took on new life; the "ghost" house of Ben Franklin, outlined at its actual location on the ground and diagramed in the air by beams showing its shape and height, was eerily provocative. Last but not least, our fee for the tour included a drink at the end during which we chatted with Rick as if we were all old friends. A terrific experience.

Our guide talked about everything but the founding fathers. For instance, in front of the Carpenters Hall where the first Continental Congress met, he talked more about the carpenters guild and how they rented out their building to the different people who were using them to build for them. It was much extraneous information without concentrating on the topic that we signed up for. We did an earlier tour with another company that was excellent, making the contrast to this tour even more apparent and disappointing.

Sep 2021 • Friends
Fayge , who lead the Founding Fathers Tour in Philadelphia at 11:30 AM, Friday, September 17 was an outstanding guide and deserves the best rating of #5. All of the five in our group agree. She was very knowledgeable, friendly, interesting and entertaining. I particularly appreciated her passion for her job and her great sense of humor. I would definitely attend another tour, especially led by Fayge again.
