Best Historical Tour in NYC!
We have taken several of Karen's tours. It is a must for us when we are in NYC. They are incredibly well researched with details you will find no where else. And Karen is very entertaining and passionate, telling great stories and holding your interest for the entire tour. Highly recommended, especially if you have time for only one walking tour.

Excellent Tour (Culper Ring Tour)
Jun 2018 • Friends
This review is about the Revolutionary War Spies Tour Recently did my 3rd tour with Karen. I had previously done the Revolutionary War and Hamilton Burr Tours. I have always been fascinated with spies and have read many books on the Culper Ring and being a fan of the show Turn.

It was an extremely hot day and a protest was going on but luckily we were moving away from the action. We walked thru Lower Manhattan going to the various places frequented or owned by the ring. Robert Townsend, Abraham Brewster, Benjamin Tallmedge Hercules Milligan and others. Learned about several members of the ring Agent 355 and Haym Salomon, who wasn't a member of the Culper Ring but was a friend and associate of member Hercules Milligan, that I didn't know a lot about previously. An enjoyable 2 1/2 historic walk thru Revolutionary era Manhattan.

We had 9 people on our tour so it was nice and easy to see and follow Karen thru the tour., there are also quite a few parks where we stop so you can rest for a bit while she tells you about one of the members.

Wonderful Tour!
We took this tour this morning because we have watched the television series Turn. This was well worth it, Karen did a wonderful job giving history and stories of the spies who helped Washington. A really enjoyable experience, learning just how valuable the average citizen was to this country's fight for liberty. Well presented tour with interesting stories and information. Some historical sites still present today, like the beautiful St Paul!
