6 hours flew by! We loved our private walking tour with Max
Nov 2018 • Couples
My husband and I took Max's 6 hour private tour around the city this past weekend, and we would highly recommend it!

Max took the time to personalize the entire experience. We completely went with the flow all day based on our comments and requests. The tour was all customized, and we couldn't believe how fast 6 hours flew by. Max kept us engaged the entire time, telling us stories of the past and pointing out unique architecture. We couldn't believe how much rich history the city has. We'll never look at the city the same way again!

Thank you again, Max. We had such an incredible day, and it's something we'll always remember.

This was our second tour with Max and we couldn't have been happier-it is truly the best money we have spent in NYC. With 3 generations, ages from 18-73 Max was able to easily accommodate, entertain and please everyone. We were able to cross more off of our NYC bucket list and are looking forward to doing another tour again.
Hands down -AN ABSOLUTE NYC MUST!!

Best way to see New York
May 2018 • Family
We are a family of 4 with 2 teens who had never been to NY before. We arrived into Port Liberty after a cruise at 8am and flew out from JFK at 7pm. We wanted to make the absolute most of the time we had in NY so we decided to book a bespoke Cityrover tour. Max was a brilliant guide and allowed us to choose a few must haves for the tour and then we asked him to fill in the gaps as we didn't really have a great idea of which sights were close/far from each other. We all really enjoyed the tour and it didn't feel like 4 hours had passed by the end - we could have managed more if we'd had time. We would definitely book another tour with Max - as there's so much to see and learn and he has a lovely way of keeping everyone engaged. Ruth

Well worth it
Dec 2017 • Family
Max performed a 3 hr private tour for our family of 5. He shared the history of New York and made the tour fun. It was a rainy day but it didn't hamper the tour. He provided us great recommendations for the remainder of the day. We would not have ventured on the subway without Max's guidance. He gave us instructions on how to take subway to Brooklyn Bridge for the next morning and recommended a diner for us to eat breakfast at. We will definitely book with Max again to see another part of the city on our next trip.

Hi Alice, it was great to meet you and your family recently. Thanks for booking a private CityRover tour for your very short visit. I'm glad we got to explore NYC for a bit, despite the rainy weather. You guys were great company, and I hope we can do Part II on your next visit.

Something for Everyone - AMAZING!!
Dec 2017 • Family
Max is an exceptional tour guide. He educated and entertained us from the first moment of our three hour tour, through snow & cold wind, and finished in a spot where we could dine like locals on an off-the-beaten path area for a late lunch. Our group of nine ranged from ages 9 - 72, with an even greater variety of interests & personalities - Max genuinely captivated us and tailored the tour to our needs and desires. This tour was the highlight of an action-packed 2.5 day trip to NYC. I will recommend this small, local tour company to everyone who will listen! It was worth every penny!

Great custom walking tour
Oct 2017 • Family
You're reading this b/c you are trying to figure out what tour is worth your investment - this one is it! You can research must-see spots on your own (and I highly recommend the free guides that you can find on Max's cityrover website), but if you want someone else to do that work to ensure you make the most of your time in NYC, do this tour. We enjoy walking and exploring, and didn't want to waste time on a touristy double decker bus or something that stops for a picture at various sites - we wanted to explore and learn. Max is personable and truly cares that you get out of this tour what you are seeking - he engaged our teens in conversation, and was a true delight to spend a few hours with. This is your tour, he asks when/if you need to rest, snack, take a bathroom break, and made sure we got to our one world trade tour on time - you aren't at the mercy of a fixed tour with a guide that has memorized their script. I highly recommend Max and cityrover.
