Small-Group Tour of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
From US$57.00
Overview

See two major New York City attractions on this half-day tour of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Skip the line at Liberty Island Ferry, and travel with your small group to Lady Liberty for a pedestal tour and observation deck visit. Your guide explains immigration history, and your visit to Ellis Island includes Great Hall entrance and free time before the return ferry.

What to Expect

Make your way to Battery Park to meet your guide and group at least 15 minutes before your departure. Together, skip the lines for priority access to Liberty Island Ferry.

The ferry whisks you to Liberty Island where, with your guide leading the way, you’ll tour the Statue of Liberty Museum and hear commentary on the statue’s rich history to go along with the displays. Head to the observation deck for views and photos before hopping back on the ferry, bound for Ellis Island.

Land on Ellis Island and listen as your guide paints a verbal picture of what it must have been like for immigrants landing there throughout the years. Visit the Great Hall to see family photos, hear personal stories, and trace your own family history.

Finish up around midday. You are free to explore further and return to Manhattan via ferry when you wish.

Amazing Tour or the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island!

We signed up for this small group tour. Fortunately for us, we had a private tour with Victoria! We were so grateful that she waited for us at the designated meeting place. (We were delayed to due rain and bad traffic). Victoria shared a wealth...More

A great visit guided by Joel

The large group we started with at Clinton Castle was split into two groups and we were so lucky we got JOEL as our guide. A short presentation and we had him pegged, a small time actor doing some guiding on the side to pay...More

We really enjoyed our tour with Nick. He made it so interesting and enjoyable, and we felt like we received personal insights into the history and location, not just walking around looking at it. Nick answered a lot of questions for us. Also I wanted...More

Education presented in an interesting context

Weather was cold and windy - probably to be expected for late October. Patrick of Top Dog Tours was our guide. He was very good, provided an attractive blend of entertainment and education. The small group started at 10 and shrank to 8 mid-term. A...More

Hi Jim, Thank you for the great feedback on the tour you took with Patrick. In regard to the confirmation, when you book with a 3rd party service (Viator, Get Your Guide, Expedia, etc.) we don't always have control over what the confirmation email says....More

I'm not sure, but I don't think the tour agency offers pickup. You can certainly ask. There should be no problem at the Statue of Liberty. My knee was bothering me, so we sat out the climb as did a few others. You will... More

It should say in the description of the tour if you would have time to visit the top. If not, inquire with the tour operator to verify. And, I agree with the previous answer, it could come down to how busy the SOL is that... More

I was there in Oct 2018, and due to a knee injury, I was walking with a cane. They provided me with a wheelchair and I was taken to each level by an elevator. The highest we can go is the base of the statue (the rest is... More
