Skip the line with priority boarding, then take in the cinematic views of New York Harbor en route to your first stop: Liberty Island. Venture into the Statue of Liberty Museum, where audio headsets make it easy to hear your guide’s commentary. Board another ferry bound for neighboring Ellis Island, which housed New York’s primary immigrant processing facilities from 1892 to 1954. Learn about the millions of people from around the world who passed through this gateway to the United States, and tour its well-preserved facilities with your guide. The tour ends when you board a ferry back to Battery Park, though you can choose to linger at Ellis Island’s Immigration Museum or see more of its sights before returning.

Jim was the perfect guide to teach us about the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island. He was funny, made everything interesting (even to our 14 yr old), was assertive in just the right NY way to keep his group safe, on time and first on and off the ferry. He gave us great insider tips, took great photos of each family in front of the Statue of Liberty, and really told us everything we need to know in a shorter time than we could have spent going through every piece of the exhibits. However, time is given for going through the Statue of Liberty Museum and Ellis island Museum on your own if you want to. I am a healthcare worker and on the more extreme side of precautious for COVID-19, and was glad that I had a good mask on the ferry, because it was quite crowded and hard to distance at times (but we did find adequate space outside on the 2nd level). Jim did a great job of ensuring that everyone in our Tours group or their mask properly over their nose and mouth. I felt like it was fairly easy to socially distance in the Statue of Liberty Museum and Ellis Island buildings. Mask wearing was at least 80% for other tourists who were not on our tour. For us, it was well worth the price for this tour, and Jim was the perfect guide!

Our guide The Mayor of Liberty Island 😂 was the perfect partner. Meeting at the Starbucks is a bit chaotic. I suggest printing your ticket off and wandering around until someone says hello
Once found everything was excellent. The “mayor” briefed us before each stage to make sure we effectively got through the queues and then quickly off the boats. Really knowledgeable and super flexible in allowing us to maximise our time, especially at Ellis island (which we found fascinating) thank you

We weren't sure whether it would be worthwhile to use a guide service, since you can tour the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island on your own, but it turned out to be a great decision. Marc L was really great, knowledgeable, adaptable to the ferry schedule changes, enthusiastic, and careful about not losing anyone in the masses of visitors. It was fun seeing the Statue of Liberty up close, and I really enjoyed the second floor of the Ellis Island museum. My Dad's family came through Ellis Island, and I could easily imagine what they must have gone through from all the photos on the walls.

The guide was one of best tour guides I’ve ever had. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable and had a great personality. The only issue was lack of clear communication. Unfortunately my son and I were left at the Statue of Liberty and we missed the Ellis Island tour. We were under the impression that after the brief break we would continue taking the tour at the Statue of Liberty. We were a bit late to the meeting point after the break because the photo printer or some sort of machine at the gift shop had an issue and I had already paid for a photo package so couldn’t leave until I got my items. I sent my son to let the guide know that we would be a bit late and that we would catch up with them. We were not informed that we were supposed to take the ferry immediately after the meeting time. There were 4 other ladies also thinking that we were going to continue at the Statue of Liberty tour after the break. Had we known that, we would’ve been able to get on the ferry after getting out of the gift shop but instead we waited nearby hoping to see the group soon after wrapping up the tour at the Statue of Liberty. So just a heads up - make sure to be on time to meet your guide after the break and make sure to go to the front of the Statue of Liberty to take pictures during the break because if guide didn’t take the group there while providing all the historic details, you won’t get a chance to go take pictures after the break. Also if for any reason you are a bit late to the meeting point and don’t see your guide, take the ferry to meet the group at Ellis Island or you will miss the second half of the tour. Ask your guide to clarify the time you’re taking the ferry to Ellis Island. Don’t expect to get a partial refund if you miss half of tour even if it’s not your fault. I tried but no luck. I do highly recommend this tour and the guide was fantastic but would be great if the tour guides would provide a printed itinerary and briefly explain how long we will be at the Statue of Liberty and let people know to take their pics with the Statue during the break and what to expect, the time of departure to the second ferry, etc, it would have been a wonderful experience.

Information was good but we would have liked more facts with less sarcasm (note that the guide was trying to be funny but it was hard to follow what he was saying). Also, masks outside were not required but the guide kept reprimanding us to wear them. The tour should have stated the outside requirement before purchase. Masks should be provided if required. Happy he let us remove the masks for the outside picture.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. The voucher says masks are still required to visit and we can certainly update that to specify including outside areas as long as the policy remains in place. We do not provide masks for sanitary reason and that is on the voucher. Regarding being pricey... its the commission. Every tour and activity sold on travel websites, like the one where you bought this tour, are run by local tour companies like us even though it may appear the seller is the operator of the tours they list. When you purchase through resellers like them they take a commission, which in a market like NYC runs up to 40%. Thanks again for your feedback and please feel free to call or email me with any questions or suggestions.

First time
In our experience that a guide abandoned us and left. We had to ask another guide where he was and he left for the ferry . The
Instructions were not clear that we had to take the 11am ferry to Ellis island. Also the statute cruises staff were so mean. Did not allow us to join our guide and immediately close the barricade. What an irony to be visiting liberty island as a tourist and be treated like that. Tourists should boycott the statue cruise by horn blower and not even bother to pay for such tours. liberty is in the mind and no need to pay to be inspired and worse be treated with such bad service.

Our guided tour of Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island was perfect. Jim, the tour guide, was flawless for many reasons including: 1, his verbal presentation was animated, gregarious, humorous (he sounded like Larry David), 2, like a great guide he spent ‘standing in line time’ giving his prepared speech to save guests ‘free time’ at the Statue of Liberty, 3, he knew the best photo spots and then took photos in front of Lady Liberty for each person in his group with their respective cell phones which was a great gesture (he took photo attached to this review) 4, he kept his ‘charges’ together going through security lines, going on and off ferry boats, etc to make transitions move more quickly, and 5. guests do not have to worry about messing around with showing tickets as Jim kept the group together and just scanned a total number of guests through entry points to move things along quickly (although you will each get a ticket as a souvenir to keep as a memento). Jim is the best tour guide I’ve had in the US at any site, on any tour … period! He is ACES!

Sunday, June 20th, was the perfect day for a city adventure! Killed two birds with one stone…father’s day and our little 5th grader graduating…who had an Ellis Island project that he was really proud of earlier in the year that we were like let’s bring it to life. Debbie was our tour guide who filled our day with unknown facts-even as born and raised New Yorkers! She busted out her tablet to show us additional photos to give us the visual to help drive in the details. The tour got us in express lanes so we didn’t wait long to get on and off the ferry (yo, tourists were like you skipping lines and we were like nah…we are in a paid tour, bruh )The ease of the tour was phenomenal and for the price…you’re not mulling over Google researching the nitty gritty details of each site…here we were literally hand held to the most important displays/exhibits/ locations. My son loved and he usually complains about everything! He was like Debbie deserves 5 stars and she does…she had jokes lol I’d recommend this tour to those visiting NY and us NYers who think we know everything, in reality, we friggin’ know nothing! I’ll be looking into more tours in the future and would love to check back with Trip Advisor once the Liberty’s crown opens again! Great experience!

Wow, did we luck out. We not only had perfect weather 11/10/2021, our guide Marc was fantastic. He was personable, got to know everyone in his group and made our day!! Even though the ferry schedule was a bit goofed up, Marc made the most of it by sharing so much information about not only the Statue of Liberty and Ellis island when we were there, but also about surrounding areas . He pointed out all types of land marks, really gave us interesting facts about the places we visited and was so informative. He also took good care of the group, making sure everyone was on and off ferry carefully, continued to head count the group, etc. What more can be said- if you go ask for Marc. Not only that it was his wife's birthday and he had theater tickets, but he didn't rush us. Thank you Marc.
