    Stop: 90 minutes -
Often called the Historic Heart of San Diego, the Gaslamp Quarter is the main dining and entertainment district of the city. With more than 150 bars and restaurants and 94 registered historic buildings, this nightlife playground has a lot to see and do, as well as a fascinating past. The Brothels, Bites and Booze tour will introduce you to the beginnings of San Diego as a port town – learn why it became one of the more notorious red light districts of its time, and find out how this once-undesired neighborhood became a fun and vibrant nightlife destination for both locals and visitors. After meeting your guide, you’ll embark on a journey of scandalous tales, unique cocktails and local cuisine. On the tour, you’ll make new friends, hear interesting stories, sing karaoke and explore new tastes at local restaurants*. *Restaurants are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. Tours may include stops at Meze Greek Fusion, Patron's Corner, Ciro's Pizzeria, The Field, El Pulpo, Le Parfait and CrunchTime

With these types of activities, the tour guide can make or break the amount of fun you have. Lucky for the dozen or so in our group, we had Ben. He is upbeat, super friendly and knowledgeable. There are 4 restaurants, each with different food samples. Again, Ben made it

Ben was a great tour guide! He did a great job of telling us the history of the area and about the food we sampled. Be advised that the tour consists of three small appetizers, three small drinks, and dessert.

I mean it was fine. Portions of the food was terribly small. Even smaller for the drinks. Didn’t learn a lot about history or anything like that. Definitely wouldn’t do it again.

Hi there! I'm sorry you had a "meh" experience on our tour. Of course, this would never be our intention. I'll check in with the guides to see if there is more specific feedback on how we can make the experience better. Thank you for the feedback. -Bianca

The leader was condescending. The food at our first stop was dry and lacking in flavors, so we did not continue with the tour. I loved my food tour in Seattle but this was incredibly disappointing.

Hi Beth! May I ask who your guide was? I'm sorry you had this experience. We don't typically get such horrible reviews, and I would like to address this to the guide who was leading you. -Bianca
