This walking tour was phenomenal. The guide, Sully, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and fun! The food we ate was delicious. If you plan on doing this walking tour, which I’d highly recommend, bring a water bottle and good walking shoes, especially if you’ve been walking around the city for a few days already. The tour is a decent length— around 5 miles. All in all, so happy I went on this tour!

I thoroughly enjoyed this small group tour. It was relaxed and informative. Our tour guide Dillon, clearly knows his history and interesting nuances of Boston. Adding his unique flavor of humor, he expertly guided us through an interesting tour and introduced us to some wonderful places in history connecting history to local bakeries, restaurants and shops. I enjoyed is to much that I scheduled another tour in a few weeks when my boyfriend can be here. If you're looking for something interesting to do and want to sidestep the mainstream large crowd tours, I highly recommend this tour.

We spent 5+ hours with Keith aka Sully visiting restaurants that only a local would know and hearing history of the people and city of Boston. Sully, clearly a history buff, seemed to know the history of every building, park and graveyard in the city. In fact, he was delighted to indulge with detailed answers to frequent and sometimes random questions from our small group tour (10 people). Great sense of humor and very helpful in providing recommendations and directions for future destinations in Boston.

Wow. Tim was one of the friendliest, most knowledgable tour guides I've seen. His passion for the history of Boston was apparent from start to finish. He did a magnificent job of weaving the history of colonial Boston into the city as it exists today.
The food stops were much more than experiencing "the best" of Boston. (What is the best, really?) The food and drink offerings throughout the tour were delicious, and each establishment was extremely welcoming.
The second half of the tour provided an extensive history of Boston, which Tim pulled together perfectly.
I can't recommend this tour highly enough. It was unquestionably a highlight of our trip to Boston.

We had a WONDERFUL day with John as our tour guide. John is extremely knowledgeable and gave us an insiders view of the city of Boston’s rich history. By visiting the local shops, churches, State House, and historic landmarks we definitely have a deeper understanding of Boston’s impact on U.S. history. Thanks for a great day John!

A great tour with a friendly guide. The food portion is jammed packed with tasty delights as well as providing a good overall picture of Boston history.
The Freedom Trail portion of the tour built on the Food portion and filled in alot of gaps.
The guide was friendly, full of local knowledge and quick to give recommendations for the remainder of everyones trip.

We really enjoyed this tour, despite a sub freezing day in Boston. Our tour guide John did a great job of blending amazing food spots in the North End (Boston’s version of Little Italy) with an overview of Boston’s revolutionary history and a number of interesting facts you probably never learned in school. He also was a nice guy who tried to get to know everyone in the group. Highly recommend this whether you’re from out of town or local (had some locals on our tour who said they learned new things and found some great new food spots.

Beyond a five star experience. Our tour guide, Corinne, was part cousin, part tour guide, part history master, part cheerleader for the city of Boston. Corinne didn't just bring us to iconic food places in the Little Italy area of North Boston she introduced us to the people making the food. We got to chat with the bread baker, the pizza maker and so on. The tour was just the right pace, never rushed and never dragged. I was worried that five hours might be too long but it went by in a flash. Corinne had the answer to every question we asked - large or trivial.
The tour was a great mix of food tastings along with discovering the rich history of Boston. Solid historical background covering much of the Freedom Trail along with fun anecdotes, some ghost stories and even a few jokes. This tour did not feel cookie cutter or scripted. Our guide Corinne gave us so much detail but never felt like she was just going through the motions.
Definitely wear your most comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle in warmer weather and definitely bring your appetite.

First off, our tour guide was absolutely phenomenal. He was one of our favorites! He went above and beyond to make sure that he covered everything on the tour, make sure that we were comfortable and pleased. He took us to some amazing places to try some of the north end’s best food. We ended up making this part of Boston one of our favorite parts. After the tour is over, we were able to spend some extra time with our tour guide just getting to know him better. It was like having lunch with a good friend. Would highly recommend and wouldn’t do it again next time we are in the area!

Simply cannot say enough good things about this tour. Our guide, Janet, was amazing. She’s a native of the area and has been in the travel business her entire career, which was fully taken advantage of throughout the tour. She showed us some amazing out-of-the-way places as we stopped at various Boston landmarks throughout the half day experience. She took her time and was very engaging with everyone on our group, which was a mixture of couples, friends, parent & child. She share stories and answered all of our questions, even promising to follow up with us after the tour if she wasn’t able to answer the question. This tour made our Boston trip and it felt more like walking around Boston with a local and a friend than it did a ‘formalized tour.’ This is a must for anyone visiting Boston. I would take this again and request Janet. Again, simply the best experience. Thank you Janet!

Yes it includes food. It’s just trying restaurants in Little Italy at the north end. We stopped at one place and ate Cannoli’s, went to a bakery and sampled bread, and also had a small Italian sub and a slice of pizza from a couple other places. Basically just sampling foods in the Little Italy area at the north end of Boston.

I recall they had two start times to choose from 10a and 1p. If you have questions, give them a ring, as we had a couple in our group that did half the tour on Sat. And the other half on Mon. They are service oriented and flexible. Have fun, we did!

Hello,
My daughter and I would like to go on this tour; but, we're wondering if the entire 5 hours is all standing and walking? After we read the 3 less favorable reviews it sounded like you have to eat your pizza, sandwich, etc while standing outside of venues. Does the group have arrangements with the vendors for an inside sit down break along the way or is it all on your feet the entire tour?
