The guides (Tamera for 2 days and Matt for the third day were fantastic. They were extremely knowledgeable of the area, chose hikes appropriate to our desires and our level of fitness. They were perfectly challenging, flexible with n planning and very entertaining. And the weather( although a little cooler than expected) was sent to order. Could not have asked for a better experience!

Our team had a retreat to Asheville and the highlight without a doubt was having Jennifer Pharr Davis talk with our team and then guide our group on a hike that also included her husband Brew. Jennifer’s story is truly inspirational and both Brew and her are just good people that go above and beyond to provide an amazing experience.

I am not sure where to begin!??! From the planning, to the re-planning (due to COVID - our issue not BR!), executing, and pivoting to avoid rain, Blue Ridge Hiking is the best! Lindsey and Melissa, our guides, were true professionals - they thought of everything. Our group consisted of 13 women of varying abilities and comfort and they made it ALL work. This is our second time using them and I wouldn't hire anyone else to guide us. In addition to their ability to guide and educate, they are interesting, smart women who meshed with our group. We will recommend and hire them again and again!

What a great morning hike. Our guide Lauren looked great on paper and was even more experienced in person. We got to the park before most hikers and left as it was starting to get too busy. Lauren tailored our hike to our interests, which were to see the waterfalls up close and personal. And we did, but under Lauren's watch! She was so knowledgeable and we learned more about the forest than we could on our own. And we had so much to talk about. She regaled us with stories of her completing the Appalachian Trial. Next time we hike the Blue Ridge or AT with Lauren.
If you want a great guide, ask for Lauren!!

We had a delightful morning of hiking in Dupont State Park. Our guide, Lauren, was so knowledgeable & fun to be with. The park was beautiful on its own, but Lauren was able to provide us with the history of the park & current projects. But best of all, she pointed out & gave us the names of all the plants we saw, including a wide variety of wild mushrooms. It was interesting to learn of her adventures hiking the Appalachian Trail & her work as a wild land fire fighter participating in controlled burns & responding to forest fires. Her enthusiasm really made for a perfect visit. We strongly encourage you to book Lauren for a guided hike if you see she's available--you won't be disappointed!

We had a stellar hike with Lexie. She was prepared, professional and a lot of fun to hike with. She recommended the perfect hike based on our request and she was excited to answer all our random questions and frequent stops to check out the flora. It was a lot of fun, great company and very easy to book. Highly recommended.

Lauren Smucker was such a great guide. It was a pleasure taking the planning out of putting together a hike. She arrived at my hotel. I followed Lauren to the park and off we went with my two dogs. The pace was perfect. The rest and views were just enough time. Never felt hurried nor needing to move faster. The tidbits of information were so fun. It was nice knowing she had a first aid kit packed which she was able to use on another hiker who fell in front of us. Some may be taken aback by the fee, but it was was worth it. I highly recommend a guided hike with Lauren or Blue Ridge Hiking.

It was perfect! We are novice hikers unfamiliar with the area. The guide called in advance to discuss our experience and physical fitness; she chose a hike that was very appropriate for us and ended in a beautiful waterfall. Would recommend and do again.

Wonderful afternoon with Juliet on a guided waterfall tour. She knew just where to take us to see beautiful waterfalls and was so patient with our physical limitations. Thank you!
