My boyfriend and I visited San Francisco for the first time this weekend. Our tour guide was Patrick and he was super interactive, entertaining, and knowledgeable about the city! It was the perfect tour to see so much in a short period of time, learn all about the places we stopped, and see neighbourhoods, Muir Woods, and Alcatraz all in one day. To top it off, Patrick was a happily willing photographer for anyone wishing to take photos at the stops! I highly recommend Dylan’s Tours for anyone interested in viewing all San Francisco has to offer!

We had a great tour, with Sully as our guide, on Memorial Day.
Took in lots of sights & stopped at many places, including the Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Point (for fantastic views of the GG Bridge), Marin Headlands, Mrs Doubtfire's House, Painted Ladies, Haight/Ashbury.
Muir Woods was lovely & it was great to see a little of Sausalito (where we had a delicious lunch at one of the places suggested by Sully).
Everything was so well organised, including regular messages from the team to confirm pick up details etc. The small bus used meant that we didn't feel at all rushed & made for a more personal experience (there were probably 15-20 people in total).
Big thanks specifically to Sully who was more than happy to take pictures of everyone for some lovely memories of the day.
I'd fully recommend using Dylan's Tours for a great way to see San Francisco & the area.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are so happy you enjoyed your time with Sully. Sully loves to take great pictures and we are so glad you got a full view and experience of the city by the bay. Our small buses do give it a more personal experience and we are happy you liked that. Sully is a local who loves to show off all the parts of San Francisco. We appreciate that you like how our admin. team organizes everything. Everyone at Dylan's Tours culminates their efforts to give our guests a great experience.
Thanks,

We had such a great tour even on a rainy day. Our tour guide Jake was funny, kind and full of local knowledge. The tour showed us all the local neighborhoods and places in the city before going across the bridge for about an hour at the Muir Woods. The perfect time at each spot was provided and plenty of bathroom and snacks stops were built into the tour. About a decade ago we came to San Francisco and rented a car and did it all ourselves and the tour was a much better way to see all the sights and let someone else deal with driving and parking. The buses were nice our family with two adults, an 11 year old and a 13 year old would give this tour five stars on all fronts!

Hi!
I'm delighted to hear that you had such a great tour with Jake, even on a rainy day! It sounds like he did an excellent job of showing you all the local neighborhoods and places in the city, as well as taking you to Muir Woods. I'm glad to hear that the tour was well-organized, with perfect timing and plenty of bathroom and snack stops. It's great that you found the tour to be a better way to see all the sights, especially with the convenience of not having to drive and park. It's wonderful to hear that your whole family enjoyed the tour and would give it five stars on all fronts!

We had a 1.5 day stop on a cruise. We had visited SF before several times and were familiar with many fo the obvious landmarks and attractions. Tour began in a public park near the water, about a $10 ride share from pier 27 (less than 2 miles). This was primarily a driving sightseeing trip. 1st stop was Ghirardelli building for a pre-trip bathroom break. Photostops in front of City Hall, the 7 painted ladies, Presidio, Goldengate Bridge park. Drove through Chinatown, past Lombard Street. Drove through Chinatown, past Mrs. Doughtfire house, Haight Ashberry, Presidio, over the Goldengate Bridge and took lunch break in Sausalito. Great narrative along the way with lots of interesting facts and background information. Then we drove to Muir Woods and spent over an hour to see the woods on our own. We did not take the Alcatraz tour because we had been there 3 times and it does not change much but I would highly recommend it if you have not been there. Our very tall tour guide/driver was Aaron and did a great job and graciously agreed to drop several of us at the cruise ship terminal after dropping off his other passengers and the designated stops. Everyone cooperated and wore masks in the bus.

My tour guide today was Mark and from the start of the tour until the very end he was friendly, really knowledgeable about SF, engaging, and kind. At the start of the day, I was running a little late and I texted Mark my ETA. He quickly responded with directions on exactly where to find the group so I wouldn’t waste time and this helped my anxiety of being late and left behind. During the tour Mark exceeded my expectations! He gave us much more information about the city, little known facts, and interesting stories that tied into the sights that we were seeing. He also gave us some great recommendations on other areas of interest in SF and he was so good at managing time of the group, we even got to see some extra places. Mark knew the answer to ALL of our questions and made learning about SF fun for the group by making games and giving us hints to some of the facts. The lunch spot Mark recommended for our break in Sausilito was fantastic and he even gave us some insight on our hidden gem restaurants in SF. Mark was so funny and he often had the group laughing and was able to facilitate approachable ness and friendliness among people in my tour group. Mark was kind enough to drop us off close to our destinations and really cared that we got home safe. I’ve had city tours in other cities in America, and this one was by far my FAVOURITE. Mark was amazing and you can tell by the way that he Carrie’s himself that he really enjoys the work that he does and interacting with people!

Ro our tour guide was brilliant, full of local knowledge and information as well as being super friendly and accommodating.
The tour itself was great in that we went to a lot of places but it was often just a quick drive by especially for local interests and a little frustrating if you were on the wrong side of the bus.
That said, getting off at Muir Woods and Sausalito was great. We were unlucky that it was a Monday long weekend (we didn’t realise) and the line for food took our whole time there, not a complaint but just some info for future bookings.
We also had to rush back for those heading off on the 1.30 Alcatraz boat so our stop at Palace of fine arts didn’t happen and the drive by was super quick in the rush to get to the wharf.
All in all we highly recommend this trip and loved our local driver Ro, our only advise is to avoid busy times if you can.

This was easily the best part of my trip to San Francisco. Our tour guide (shoutout Captain Roger!) was a ton of fun and gave us what felt like a personalized tour of the city he calls home. I’d for sure recommend this to anyone that wants a fun day where you cover a lot information about San Francisco and surrounding areas.

Patrick from Dylan's tours was great. He is super knowledgeable about the city. He has a lot of fun facts and history. He plays a lot of relevant and fun music and makes it a game handing out chocolate to the winners. You ride around in a small shuttle bus that holds around 25 people. It starts at 8 am and you tour around parts of SF on your way to the golden gate bridge. You have an hour to hike thru Muir Woods. Head to Sausalito for a quick lunch and then Drive back to SF and tour more of the city. We did the extended package and went to Alcatraz. Great day!

My wife & I enjoyed the Dylan's tour of the city combined with a trip to Sausalito & Muir Woods. Our guide, Rolando, was amazing. He's a San Francisco native with a very engaging list of tidbits of information about the founding of the city & some of it's earlier Philanthropist & Influential Others. He had a profound pool of energy & passion that made the tour even more interesting, insightful & meaningful. We would recommend this tour for anyone else who wants to go beyond the Charlie Brown Teacher tour of the city. The 6 hour tour flew by. The views of the city from the top of a hillside facing the golden gate bridge is one we will always fondly have burned into our memories. Muir Woods is spectacular. Take this tour. You won't regret it.

On this tour, can we stay at Sausalito stop and return by boat? Our family would like to have dinner there. Whats the best way to stay longer in Sausalito? Please advise. Thank you!
Are bus tours limiting the number of passengers to allow social distancing, requiring proof of covid vaccination and requiring masks to be worn inside buses?
Deborah S
Virginia Beach, VA5 contributions
Masks were worn on the tour bus. There was only 4 people on the tour until Sausalito. Once there we picked up 2 more people who rode bikes over the golden gate bridge for the Muir woods tour. We have taken this tour twice, once in 2019 and once in August 2021. Both times the tour was well worth the money. I don't know if the tour company is limiting guests but I recommend going during the week instead of weekends if you are concerned about overcrowding. We spent almost a week in San Francisco in late August 2021. During the week there were no crowds anywhere, on the weeekend everything was packed.
this trip was under $100 yesterday - today it is $125 - did it go up overnight?
Where do I park? how much will parking cost me?
Do you offer trips to Alcatraz?
Lunch - you recommend bringing your own lunch? saw that lines in Sausilita are very long.

Not sure why it went up....opening up things after COVID? Supply and demand?
We went with Dylan's tours. We walked over from our hotel so we did not park.
They offer a Muir Woods, City, and Alcatraz package. We only did the city and Muir Woods tour.
We ate at a lovely deli in Sausalito and did not wait long for our order.

Hi please can someone clarify pick-up and drop-off location please? Also I’m assuming we are responsible for locating a restaurant to eat, which the cost isn’t included in the tour price? Many thanks in advance.

The p/u and drop off location was down by the waterfront. Clearly marked and they do have staff there to direct. When we were dropped off for lunch the driver picked out a few of his favorite restaurants in the area. The cost of lunch was not included.
