- irenepM4945HS00Yosemite tour 10/10, Rob the tour guide 10/10While visiting Yosemite was a dream come true, this tour was made extra special and memorable by the tour guide, Rob. From the start of the early day he brought such a bright, warm, and engaging energy that got us all excited for the days adventures. He was a wealth of knowledge about San Francisco, the surrounding areas, and Yosemite - I learned so much in just one day from him. He expertly and safely drove us through the daunting (but beautiful!) roads up to the park. His great sense of humor, genuine desire for us to all have the best trip possible, and attention to detail to making sure we got to see all of the best views and sites made this trip better than I could have ever imagined. It was my first time doing a trip like this on my own and I’m so glad I had such a friendly tour guide in Rob. The park is gorgeous and a must see, the day is jam packed with so many incredible things to do and see, and it’s super convenient with the hotel pick ups and drop offs. I’ll happily take an extra nominal tour again especially if Rob is the tour guide!
- lingfengg202300Passionate tour guideThe driver/tour guide was very passionate about explaining everything to us about the tour. His driving was also good.
- 629yvetteo00Wonderful trip to Yosemite and Giant SequioaRoman our tour guide and excellent driver is super amazing,he is himself outdoor enthusiast he made long tour fun and he is very knowledgeable about places we went to and also the entire San Francisco that he did great in dropping off everyone to our hotel or destination despite road closure in downtown due to APEC
- rachelvE2647ZD00DisappointedUnderstandable. Not the right time of year. Lakes dry. Saw a small water fall. Glacier and Mariposa closed due to snow or roads being repaired from past flooding. Had to rearrange schedule to see Mariposa the day it was open. For hikers I'm sure it is worth the trip. I enjoyed Sequoia better.
- 290rosieh00Awesome tour!!The whole experience was great. Yosemite is a majestic place and a must see at least once. I am so glad we booked a guided tour vs taking it on ourselves. I like seeing things at my own pace but I also like experienced travelers to send me in the right direction. Our stops included the sequoias, El Capitan, a few waterfalls and the half dome. My favorite spot was the Sequoias. The hike to get there was a bit rough with the altitude but worth every bit of it!! What I loved about this tour is the multiple stops for restroom breaks, lunch and dinner. That was great! Our tour guide was awesome and always was available to take our photos anywhere. I also loved the freedom to rain the park for a few hours. Things I would do different: prepare better for the long, long day. Take plenty snacks ahead of time and a pillow to be comfy on the bus ride. We didn’t stay at any of their hotel pickups so we drove to one and didn’t prepare for parking hiccups. We just didn’t do our homework. Will be better prepared for the next time!
- ichbinmelle00Highly recommended if you only have one day to see Yosemite!I can't even begin to describe my feelings as I arrived in this heaven. Gino was our tour guide, very fun, very informative and very strict about time which helped us cover every single hot spot of what Yosemite could offer, every single of it. Gino was very informative and detailed in his explanation about the area so I feel like I learned a lot during the trip. He will make sure we pay attention to the main attraction that he was explaining about and some times he told us very hilarious and quirky jokes. Very fun trip I shall say! We first went to Tunnel View oh my god I was in awe. We even dropped by Bridalveil Fall, longer stop was at Yosemite Waterfall around 2 hrs and it was amazing and more than enough for me to take all the photos I needed and to bask in the Yosemite sunshine, soaking in its breeze. Make sure to have a good lunch here because after that you'll head to see Sequoias. And next, we even got to see El Capitan up close!! It was surreal oh god. Then after, we head to hike to see Sequoia. For me, the time allocated for hike in Sequoias which was just around 1hr 20mins should be stretched to maybe 1hr 30mins instead. The hike downhill was fairly okay but I gotta advise you to really sprint until you see the Sequoias since you will want to buy as much time as you can to hike back up to the tour bus. The photos I took was mostly snap and go but still very decent and memorable photos. As they have warned multiple times, you need to at least allocate yourself 40mins to an hour for the hike back up. I recorded my trip, my hike down until I see Sequoia tree was around 17mins, and I still managed to take kinda a lot of photos, walking around the Groove Loop which was further down with my group tourmates for about 15 mins++. I went back up for I think around 40 minutes. It was a non-stop hike up so that I can make it on time and I just slowly walked so that I can catch a breath. It could be really grueling for people who might have health issues/unfit. I'm not a hiker, nor a runner and I don't consider myself too active but I do go to the gym every week before that to build stamina mostly Yoga and just a light jog on a treadmill. So, if you jog/brisk walk/go to the gym every 2-3 days/week and workout or do cardios to keep your bpm around 130+ most days, maybe it could really help in building your stamina for the hike up and down to see Sequoia. Please go see it, it's really worth it! The place was magical and felt like as if fairies live there lol I'm not even exaggerating. And also stick to your group tourmates for solo travelers as it helps so that you won't get left behind and they can help you take photos too! (Thank you to all my group tourmates for the wonderful photos and wonderful time!!). As the goal of this trip is to see as much as you can, I feel super satisfied with the timing allocated at each stop. For solo travelers, don't forget to bring your tripod! It's gonna be useful!!
- kevincY3705ON00Yosemite will blow you away .It is a amazing experience even with the Australian dollar making it a expensive trip we thought it was well worth it our driver guide Gino gets five stars and Yosemite is one of the most beautiful places I have been in the world
- Happiness35588200921004 of 5Almost everything was excellent, our driver Gino made the tour very enjoyable and explained many stories about Josemite State Park. The only complaint is that the bus's AC broke down and it was super hot.
- kristyjo200Yosemite-A must if visiting San FranciscoGreat tour with easy pick up and drop off. Our guide Gino was knowledgeable and very mindful to keep everyone on a schedule and make all of the stops within the given amount of time. He pointed out the best sites for amazing views.
- caros88500Worthwhile, a lot of Yosemite’s highlights and surrounding areas in a dayGreat day in Yosemite and lucky with sunny and clear skies for nice photos. Long day, yes, but this is known beforehand. You certainly get the most out of the day! Don our driver and tour guide was interesting and knowledgeable and quite a character. Bus could be less bone shaking and functioning charging points would be great.
- 473marjah00Great day!It was a great trip to Yosemite with our guide Rob. He really did a great job! It was a long drive, but definitely worth doing it.
- amitt68500Good trip! A slight upgrade to the bus will make it great. Why 5 stars- For Rob : our tour guide cum driver! He looked after everyone’s needs, shared a lot of information and remained calm and full of enthusiasm on a day that was about 14-15 hours long!! The tour company could think of upgrading the bus- have some functioning charging points, wifi, etc for a slightly more luxurious experience.
- Htravler9980010/10 experience with RobRob our tour guide was truly amazing! He has incredible knowledge of the area and knew exactly where to stop to get great photos and gave us really good advice on what walks we could achieve in the time given in Yosemite and at the sequoias. It was a really long day but the bus was super comfortable.
- 175carlyw00YosemiteRob was the best tour guy ever an absolute legend and made me fall in love with San Francisco! Highly recommended!
- Z6609LFdylanb00El capitan and some 3000 year old treesRob did a wonderful job being our tour guide. Very knowledgeable and took his time to make sure we got every photo opportunity needed! It is a long day but it is really worth it!

First time doing wine tasting and our group had an amazing time!! Roman was our tour guide/bus driver and definitely made the experience 100% better. Chose this tour so we could also visit the Muir Woods (2 birds 1 stone), would highly recommend anyone interested in nature and wine to book this. Bus was almost filled up and masks eventually came off at times when people were at their respective seats. My group are all vaccinated though and I believe (hope) many of the others were too.

This was easily my husband and I’s favorite part of our San Francisco trip! Our driver, Dustin, a Sonoma native, was absolutely phenomenal! He was so fun to listen to and hear the history about the area as well as some tips and tricks to wine tasting that we used and helped us to truly enjoy our wine tastings! We started at Muir Woods which was an awesome bonus to the wine tasting experience! So SO cool! Then we headed to a winery in Napa and walked right in and they had wine poured for our first tasting for our entire group. Talk about service! Then Dustin took us to Sonoma where we were able to eat lunch at any of the many wonderful restaurants! We chose, Maya, a Mexican restaurant and it was absolutely fabulous. We then went to two more wineries for our tastings and tours. This tour company went above and beyond and our group had private tastings with someone who explained the history of the wine as well as the winery itself. Dustin made sure we were back around sunset to San Francisco and he made a special stop at one of the viewing spots of the Golden Gate Bridge. I mean ABOVE AND BEYOND our expectations! If you are having a hard time choosing which your company to go with 1,000% choose this one and if you can ask for Dustin...you will NOT be disappointed! Also- as if Dustin hadn’t already gone above and beyond for all of us already, he had compiled a list of the best eats/bars in the San Francisco area and shared it with us...which helped us out for finding our supper!

My friends and I had a great time on this tour. Having a tour bus to drive us to the woods and about an hour north to the wineries helped take away some of the stress in planning for our vacation. This tour also included the wine tasting fees which most tours don’t include so it was a great value.

We enjoyed Roman, a very knowledgeable and amusing tour guide. However, there were a couple of incidents that I am highlighting.
It rained during our visit to Muir Woods. Roman stated several times to us on the tour that he would leave the park by 10:20am sharp. However, he prioritized a run in the woods and got back to the tour bus at 10:25am letting all of us sit in the cold rainy weather. Most of us got to the bus 10-15 minutes early, trying to get back on a warm, open bus but unfortunately sat in the unfavorable elements awaiting our tour guide to finish his run, as Roman locked up the bus.
Roman stopped at a produce stand on the way back. He came back on the bus first with a large bag of produce / grocery items. We did not favor this stop as it seemed that he stopped because of his needs. Those that were traveling, i.e. staying in hotels, etc. would not need produce for their hotel stay or trip back home. It was an odd stop for a Muir Woods and wine tour.
Roman repeatedly emphasized tipping . He suggested a couple of times to tip $20, as well as make other analogies of a tipping percentage like you would if you enjoyed a good meal at a restaurant. I feel many gave him generous tips because Roman brought up the topic many times and folks may have felt shamed to tip him.
He did make another off-agenda stop of the Golden Gate Bridge - that was fun.

I had an amazing time with my three other friends at this wine tour. I highly suggest going with friends but after the first two winery visits and the frequent refills of wine it is not hard to make new friends. Many of us made at least one new acquaintance at this wine tour and there were so many people from different regions it was fun getting to know why or how they decided to join this tour. The feel to form a small community around the heavy handed wine pours of the wineries we visited was ever growing.
I was glowing when I discovered my new favorite wine on this tour. It was at the Mayo family winery (no connection to the Mayo Clinic as they made a point to highlight) where their Zinfandel Port wine won a gold medal in the Sonoma county fair. I took one sip of this wine and instantly knew it was the one for me. It is like a decadent honey cake in wine form. It is sweet and enriching and I immediately bought a bottle of it. I wish the bottle wasn't so small, I would have bought more than one now that I think about it! It was a very pleasant experience that I enjoyed with my friends.

We are so happy we did this tour however with multiple hotel pick-ups we were rushed at Muir Woods (only an hour) and during the winery stops (didn't have time to walk through the vineyards at Ru Vango which was the only true vineyard we went to and that we LOVED; didn't have time for the "choice" tasting at our 2nd stop Muscardini which was a boutique winery that was for tasting and buying only; and the third stop Mayo Family Winery which required standing too long to listen about the bottling process and the "picnic" area was not scenic and rather "industrial"). We chose to do lunch on our own at Sonoma Plaza (there was no "breakfast stop" unless you count the option to get coffee at Muir Woods after you paid $15/person entrance fee and the hour we had there to explore). There were plenty of restaurant choices and time to browse in a few stores. We ate at "The Girl and the Fig" and did as the driver suggested to let them know we were on a tour so we were quickly seated and received our food/bill in a timely manner. This was a full day (12 hours from pick up to drop off) so time-wise we got our money's worth just didn't spend the amount of time at the places we expected. Rated this tour 3 out of 5 because of the shortened time as noted above and the winery choices. Our tour guide provided a lot of information about the areas we traveled through. I felt overall it was a good value for our first time to San Francisco.

Thanks so much for your comprehensive review. Yes, it is a full day to take in Muir Woods AND California's wine country in a single day but well worth it for people visiting San Francisco for a short time. The Girl and the Fig was a great choice...hope others follow your lead. All the best.

We actually originally booked just a wine tasting trip, but due to limited numbers were transferred onto this trip including Muir Woods. The trip did not exactly go to plan.. at the time there were issues with fires in wine country, and on the day of our trip the electricity was out in all of Sonoma. However, these guys handled all these issues like pros! We couldn't get into Muir Woods due to restrictions because of the fires, so they arranged taking us to Samuel P Taylor park - which was equally as lovely, lots of Sequoias still & pretty much had the place to ourselves! We then moved onto the wine tasting, they had to rearrange all the wineries we were meant to visit due to the issues, so our driver was on the phone all day with his office to sort us new wineries. Needless to say they did a great job, as the 3 wineries we visited were fantastic, gorgeous views & very generous tastings (at least 6 wines at each). We were meant to do our lunch stop in Sonoma, but instead went to Sebastopol. It was a very nice little town, plenty of restaurants for lunch. Our driver also then ended the trip with a stop at a viewpoint overlooking the golden gate bridge. This was not meant to be included, but he stopped there so we could all get some lovely pictures. All in all, was a brilliant trip & was carried out exceptionally well considering all the issues they were faced with!

Roman was an excellent tour guide. He was incredibly friendly and hilarious! He made the trip very enjoyable from the beginning to the end. The pick up location was easy to get to from the airport and we were dropped off near a Bart station which was perfect. Muir Woods and the wineries were lovely. I think we were able to spend enough time in Muir Woods to get a great feel of the outdoors and 45 minutes at each winery was enough to taste and tour the wineries. The third winery, Trek Winery, was by far the best atmosphere for tasting and relaxing. The was comfortable but not glamorous which I was okay with. I couldn't get the wifi to work but that was the worst part of the entire trip! I wish we could have gone to more wineries because it was so much fun!

So happy that my husband and I booked this tour, it was fantastic. Dustin was the absolute best tour guide, he had every detail of our day down to a science so that we could just sit back and enjoy every minute. It is such a perfectly planned tour, and the best way to spend a day in San Francisco. Dustin kept us laughing, gave us great facts along the way, and had the perfect play list of "San Francisco" themed songs. This is the perfect combination of seeing the stunning Muir Woods and enjoying wine tasting in Napa/Sonoma. Truly a perfect day!

Kimmy, our guide and driver, was simply great: very friendly, funny, ready to help and accomodate although on a tight schedule. The Woods were amazing and we were lucky enough to finde them almost empty of people (on a Tuesday, early in the morning - also had extra luck to get there in a small group with a van instead of a bus). The wineries were really fine, especially the last one was great and we had some special deals coming there with the tour.
I booked also the extra lunch, which was very fine and served by friendly hosts - the Sonoma Laza where we ate had a lot of different options though, and you will get enough wine anyway, so it is probably not a must do.
We were mostly in Sonoma County, which I appreciated a lot and am perfectly happy with - the visit in Napa Valley was rather brief, that is why, if you really want to get a lot of *Napa* Valley, this might not be the most fitting tour for you. Anyway, I would recommend it anytime! Thank you for a great day, Kimmy!

Thanks for your review! We've passed your kind words on to Kimmy. There are three wineries included in the tour, usually one in Napa and two in Sonoma, mainly because Sonoma is a bit closer when its time to return to San Francisco. We are always looking for ways to make the tour better, so we appreciate your feedback.

No bathroom on bus but there are frequent toilet stops
what does lunch consist of ? is there a menu we order from or already prepared?

No idea. I think in part because the ad doesn’t explain what the “gourmet lunch” consists of, no one on my tour ordered it. But you stop for lunch at a big plaza that has lots of restaurants to pick from. We ended up eating at a little bistro. So you’ll have plenty of options if you don’t pay extra for the included lunch.

Looking into cheapest parking nearby at the be of the pick up spots. I have my own vehicle and not staying in San Francisco.

I'd call the company to ask. They're quite knowledgeable about that. Enjoy the trip.

As of January 2022 do we need to show proof of vaccination? I know all of San Francisco requires it.. just want to double check so I can bring it

I'd check with the operator. I carry photocopies of my vaxx records in a plastic lanyard and wear or carry that.
Enjoy the trip. Had a great time last fall.
How is the lunch? Is it worth it? Do I have different options if I don’t pay for it? Thank you

I bought my own lunch at a nearby eaterie (there are lots of options). Some of the folks did get the paid lunch and said it was good.
