Booked a tour with Kayak.ie for myself and my 14 year old godchild. We both had an absolute fantastic day. The instructors made everyone feel very comfortable and paused at various points along the route so no one got too tired. Jenny and her team were really knowledgeable how to teach kayaking, on the history of the area and the various wildlife we saw in the sea and around the coastline. This tour is for suitable for all ages (from 14 up) and all levels of fitness. Great to do on your own, a family day out or part of a group excursion.

Such a good experience!! Jenny was our lead instructor and she was super friendly and helpful. Myself and my Partner haven't kayaked for a while so we were a little rusty. At the start of the tour we did some kayaking strokes, turns & Stops etc to get use to the Kayak before leaving the Harbour ..this was really useful! After leaving the harbour Jenny went thru the history of the bay and explained the unique UNESCO Biosphere area where wild seals live . Once in the open sea I felt very comfortable and safe! the Instructors kept us all together as we made our way to the Dalkey Island. We saw so many SEALS!! amazing seeing them in there wild habitat from a safe distance without disturbing them in the wild! Once at the Island we disembarked on the beach and then had a good wonder around the Island checking out the the old military barracks, and even a few wild goats not to mention the bird life out there. Jenny took some amazing photos of us on the Island and then we headed back to the harbour to finish the tour. Such a cool tour!! Couldn't recommend this tour more! Thanks Kayaking.ie Team :)

What a smashing day out! I wasn’t sure about going but my daughter talked me into it after she had such a great day and I’m so glad she did. Jenny was a super instructor - patient, kind and extremely experienced. I’m quite a nervous passenger and I felt super safe and enjoyed every moment. Thank you Jenny, I’ll be back and I’ll be bringing my friends with me!

Rob, our tour guide was amazing, he made what would have otherwise been a terrible trip, enjoyable.
No seals, not even one. I understand that is nature so that is not their fault.

It was my second time doing this tour, and I will be doing it again in the future. The guide, Rob, was very professional and gave very clear safety instructions and explained to us how to manoeuvre the kayaks comprehensively. He had a great knowledge of the history of the area as well as the wildlife. We saw over 15 seals and had a great time rowing out to Dalkey island

We had such a great experience with kayaking.ie. We went on the morning session, the water was beautiful and calm. Jenny was a fantastic guide, she is so passionate about kayaking and had so much knowledge to share about the history of the area. We were followed by some very cute seals along our journey over to Dalkey island where we then got to explore the island itself.
Overall, we really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend giving it a go!

What is the recommended way to travel here for the morning session, from central Dublin? Are trains easy to get or is it just worth getting a taxi? Thanks
Good morning,
I am sorry it may be a silly question but do you provide (rent out) the clothes to keep us warm? I dont know what is the name of this professional clothing.
Thank you.
Also can you advise what is the age limit.
Regards,
Martyna

They provide wetsuits to wear over your clothes, so you will need a dry change of clothes for afterwards. I think they recommend you wear swim gear and shoes that you don't mind getting wet. We had a blast and weren't cold at all.
