      Dangerous and poorly organised
Dangerous outlet. There are far better organisations in Dún Laoghaire or Wicklow. Also possible to go to Dalkey Island by ferry

      Top notch experience
Great experience with Kayaking.ie What made the tour, was our instructor Ciara. She was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable about the area, fantastic asset to your business always giving us pointers along the royal canal way, such a good day out, myself and my friend are all ready looking to purchase our own again Clara was able to point us in the right direction.

A professional, engaging & fabulously fun experience!
Part of a surprise birthday trip, my wife and I arrived to a very warm and reassuring welcome from our guide & instructor Hamish who immediately settled our nerves as the sea appeared rather choppy! Treated to a very inclusive experience as we were the only people in the group paddling out that day - Hamish patiently talked us through the equipment, techniques & useful tips while on the water. As we entered the small harbour for some familiarisation, the first of what would be many seals appeared to check on our progress! Spurred on by seeing this amazing creature, we were soon paddling away from the harbour and tracking along the coastline enjoying the incredible sights, sounds & smells of the sea. Hamish kept us reassured, while offering lots of thoroughly interesting facts about the history of the area including why it is so rich in impressive sea life. Light rain didn’t dampen our spirits and before we knew it, it was time to return to shore. The whole experience was excellently delivered; Hamish is a fantastic guide who made a great day outstanding!

      Relaxed and Chill
A paddle gives a new perspective to the City and Dublin bay. Our guides Matt and Phil gave a top class safety brief before heading out. Their knowledge of local history and ecology of the area really added to the trip. Great views of the bay and wildlife. Second time out with this team and we will be back.

Kayaking Level 2 Skills - 2 Day Course
If you are interested in taking up kayaking as either a sport or recreational hobby I could not recommend this course enough. The course provides you with all the basic knowledge and skills allowing you to take a kayak out safely and to “hold your own” in a group with other paddlers. Twelve hours of kayaking is packed into the weekend and although it sounds intense you have plenty of time to practice your newly learnt skills throughout. James and Susan were our instructors who showed great patience during the course. Both having extensive knowledge, they imparted what they knew at the right level and pace for the group. After completing the course Jenny, the owner, provides you with a Level 2 Skills certificate and was also very kind to provide me with further information regarding local clubs and people who may be interested kayaking in my local area. To make the most of the course I would fully recommend joining a club as soon after the course so that you can put those newly learnt skills to good use. I completed the course on the weekend and the following Thursday was out on the water again. The Level 2 Skills puts you ahead of many in a local club that may have been paddling for several months.

      Kayaking on the canal
My son and nephew did the two day course on the canal. They loved it - beautiful surroundings, great coaching in Jenny and a certificate at the end. The scenery was stunning and to be highly recommended...

I did the Kayak Weekend Beginner Course on the Royal Canal. I was new to Kayaking and this course was great fun and a great introduction to the sport/activity. Clara was a fantastic instructor. Learnt and practised all the basic strokes while Kayaking up and down the Royal Canal and having lots of fun as we went along. If you are interested in trying Kayaking then this is the course for you.

      Great Tour.
Amazing tour! Very friendly tour guide, Mark. Informative session at the beginning to give us the safety info. The standard of the kayaks and the wetsuits is very good. Headed out from Bullock Harbour and had a great tour along the coast line before crossing over to Dalkey island. Saw loads of seals on our way out and back. Very informative and interesting tour of the island. Pricey tho!

      Lovely tour on the sea
Due to winds from Scotland the planned Dalkey trip could not go ahead and instead we kayaked around Dun Laoighre harbour with Rob. We were a small group of 2 so were treated to a individual guided tour of the harbour. Rob was easy company & the visit to see the seals was a real treat. Rob was an excellent guide, very professional and patient. Would highly recommend this trip even without it going around Dalkey Island!

      An absolute must!!!
We had a brilliant time on the sunset kayak with the guys. So lovely to see the coast from the water & we had perfect weather for it. The visit to the island was unexpected and the sight of lots of seals a definite bonus. We have already told family & friends to check out this tour, highly recommend it!!!

      Fun for Everyone
Such a fun activity from start until finish. All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. The knowledge and passion of the staff allowed for a relaxing environment. All three of the lads ensured that everyone felt safe throughout the entire experience. The equipment was very clean and the trip ran very smoothly. We even got to see some very cute Seals and jellyfish which was so exciting. I would highly recommend this company because safety and fun are clearly their top priorities!

Myself and my friend ( both in our early 30’s of decent average fitness) took the guided tour of the Dublin bay coast from Bullock Harbour Dalkey all along the coast up to Dún Laoghaire pier. Value for money here cannot he said enough - wetsuits, life jackets , oars & kayaks ( with seats for extra comfort) as well as the guided tour itself. Two guides go with the group, one at the front, one at the back, and I felt extremely safe at all times. The guides were good craic, easy to chat to, relaxed and fun. It was a unique , different way to enjoy Dublin and I would certainly do the tour again and I am definitely considering renting kayaks at their other site in Leixlip.

You will not regret this tour!!

We were there on Sunday for the Sunset Tour.

The view was incredible! The seals came right up to the kayak too.

The guides were great and very professional when it came to making sure everyone was safe both out on the water & regarding Covid Restrictions.

    Such a cool experience overall!

What a great trip today with Kayaking Ireland. Jenny is a wonderful instructor and has great local knowledge. We managed to visit Dalkey Island which was great considering the gusting-wind. They have put in place appropriate procedures to manage these Covid times. The trip was a lot of fun and both my wife and I would highly recommend any one to try sea kayaking with them.

Unfortunately due to unexpectedly (un-forecast) rough weather we didn't get to the island, but I was reassured to see that our guides quickly made the responsible decision to take an alternate route through calmer waters, and we headed north past 'The Forty Foot' and across Scotsman's Bay to Dun Laoghaire Harbour's East Pier. Our guides were full of information about the history and wildlife of the area, all the equipment was of good quality and in good repair and the location simply superb. A unique combination of a wild place (including wild seals) within metres of a bustling city. Very highly recommended.

It was my second time doing this tour, and I will be doing it again in the future. The guide, Rob, was very professional and gave very clear safety instructions and explained to us how to manoeuvre the kayaks comprehensively. He had a great knowledge of the history of the area as well as the wildlife. We saw over 15 seals and had a great time rowing out to Dalkey island

I dragged a friend on the sunset Dalkey Island tour and we had a blast. Definitely recommend both for people new to Dublin and for locals. You get a lovely bit of a tour of local history, and to see some of the adorable wildlife including migratory terns, harbour seals, and some cheeky island rabbits. The views along the coast as the sun sets, and looking out over Dublin bay were incredible and a great way to end a day.

We went as part of a small group with 2 knowledgeable and friendly guides, who were great at keeping an eye on everyone and helping us out (as we weren't experienced kayakers by any means!). They gave a thorough tutorial before we set out on safety and technique also.

Give it a go, a great way to spend an evening!

We were given the tour as a gift after the idea had come about through a friend.

Started the tour in the PM and despite some pretty typical Irish Summer weather, we were met with 110% enthusiasm by the lead guide Clara.

Suited and booted we hit the water after a short brief on water safety. The tide was ripping through the channel but the guides decided to press on to the island; a decision well thought through and certainly worth it.

Assuming the guides weren’t expert historians or marine biologists we were exceptionally impressed by their knowledge of the local area and wildlife.

A few welcome close encounters with the local seals later we made the trip back where we rounded off the trip with a socially distanced farewell.

All in all, one of the best activities I’ve done to date... and I’m a local!

Thanks to Clara and the team

What an incredible trip!! We saw so many seals - pups, teenagers and adults! Alongside lovely sea birds.
Clara, John and Craig were fantastic. Their confidence and skill on the water was inspiring and really put me at ease. We had 3 hours out at sea, with views for miles in all directions - Clara and the team shared really interesting facts about the area, wildlife and kayaking at sea. We met in Bullock Harbour and kayaked out to Dalkey Island.

Make sure to wear a swimming costume underneath your clothes and shoes you can get wet! Wetsuits are provided that you wear over your swim clothes. It meant as tourists from the UK we didn't need to bring kit, making this a very accessible trip when abroad! We got changed Harbour side, however there were some portaloos nearby.

We could not recommend this experience enough, it's really good value for money and something special to do! Appropriate for people of all ages and skill. Thanks again to Clara, John and Craig!!

We were advised less than an hour before the event by text that the venue was changed to Dun Laoghaire. The weather was fine although we were told there were 'high winds'. Not a bad gig in Dun Laoghaire but it is not the same experience at all as the proposed Dalkey Kayaking. Either charge less if you have to change for a different experience or add something into the Dun Laoghaire option to compensate . Very Very disappointed with their response!

A lovely afternoon spent with my nieces & nephew in the waters of Dalkey/ Dunlaoire harbour. A delayed 2020 Christmas present for them & a last minute booking for me. The wait & the booking were both well worth it. We had laughs at the not so good navigating (me) & had to be 'rescued' (guided) a couple of times by the very friendly & patient Jim & Hamish who were our guides for the afternoon. It may seem expensive but the time, attention, knowledge & equipment provided made it priceless. I'm also not a great lover of open water but the two lads professionalism & manner ensured I felt safe at all times. A lovely afternoon well spent. Oh and being close to the seals was amazing.
