Schooner Sailing Cruise on Charleston Harbor

    What to Expect
Your cruise starts at Aquarium Wharf, where you'll board your genuine tall ship, powered only by Mother Nature and her incredible wind power. Once on board, watch the crew hoist the sails. Travel through waters that Blackbeard once anchored in, relax on deck, and imagine a time when the harbor was filled with these magnificent ships.

While this is not a narrated cruise, the incredible crew is happy to answer questions about some of Charleston's most historic landmarks that you will see, such as Patriots Point and the USS Yorktown, an Essex-class aircraft carrier that played an important role during World War II.

See beautiful homes that line the Battery and famous Fort Sumter, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired, and watch for pelicans performing diving acts. Don't forget about Charleston's own modern marvel with an up-close look at the impressive Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, one of the longest cable-stayed bridges in the western hemisphere. You're welcome to help raise and trim the sails, or you may sit back and enjoy the ride.

You may bring your own food on board, if you wish, but not drinks; beer, wine, and soft drinks are available for purchase on board at your own expense.

This was a great trip, unfortunately there was little wind and we had to use the motor. The ship and crew were great!!

Thanks to a great October day, it was beautiful. No, there was no narration, but we were told that quite a few times before booking. At first it seemed a bit daunting with three young crew members and no place to "hang on," but it was a smooth ride. The crew was very

My wife and I were on the noon cruise today 10/26. No narration, no problem. We didn’t get within binocular distance of anything worth talking about. Ft. Sumter? Way off in the distance. The Battery? Nope, not to be seen. We sat on the starboard side and spent 95% of the trip

The schooner was beautiful but we could have done with a narration to describe the various sights. We basically sailed back and forth across the bay half a dozen times on the same trajectory. OK for an hour - pretty boring for the second hour; the scenery didn’t change. No

We enjoyed the sail. The Captain and crew did a great job. It was awesome to see everything from the water. Would go again.
