Paddle a kayak alongside bottlenose dolphins in scenic Byron Bay on this guided tour. As you experience these gentle creatures, learn about the protected habitat of Cape Byron Marine Park (park fees are included in the tour price) and catch a glimpse of historic Cape Byron Light. Conclude your adventure with tea and refreshments on the beach. No kayaking experience is required to enjoy this tour.
What to Expect

After meeting your guide in Byron Bay, get outfitted with a paddle, safety vest, and a two-person sea kayak that’s designed for ease and stability. Then, following your guide, head out into Cape Byron Marine Park.

As you paddle, see the historic Cape Byron Light—Australia’s most powerful lighthouse—and learn about the area’s cultural and Aboriginal history from your guide. Navigate toward the local pod of more than 300 dolphins that inhabit the area, and enjoy an amazingly up-close experience with these smart, playful marine mammals in their natural habitat. Spot other marine life such as sea turtles and migrating humpback whales (which appear from May to November) as well.

Before returning to Byron Bay, stop at a lovely beach for tea with light snacks. Note that on the off-chance that you don’t encounter any dolphins, you can take the tour again on another day free of charge.
