It was raining which cannot be controlled by the staff. We still enjoyed the cruise and commentary. The staff were very friendly and dealt well with other customers who did not want to listen to the staff members safety advise.

Last cruise of the season. Fabulous afternoon. 9 whales sighted, 2 of them breaching. Seals were fascinating & fun to watch as well. The crew were all great. Would recommend to all.

Experienced and hospitable crew, great day out!
Seamless operation by the crew and captain. Felt really safe and enjoyed the day aboard their boat. Saw a range of sea life including whales and enjoyed viewing the coastline from the water.

      A whale 🐳 of a day
Another fantastic whale cruise with the WCC team at the beautiful Wilson’s Promontory……super weather conditions all day helped us thoroughly enjoy the day. The Captain and crew got us onto whales for nearly the entire cruise. So much so, we stayed out later than scheduled (with everyone’s agreement) as a single juvenile insisted in circling the boat for over 30 mins to play. We had breaches, tail slapping, muggings and spy hopping…the full Monty. Would totally recommend the cruise and a huge thank you to the crew.

      Must do on Philip Island!
We went with our kids and they both loved it. Captain was very skillful and brought us very close to the seal rock where we saw hundreds of seals in their natural habitat doing what they were best at: surfing, sunbathing, socializing and diving. The staff on the boat was friendly and knowledgeable about the animals. We would definitely do it again in the future. Even if you are not a huge fan of the seals, the ride out from Cowes to the seal rock is worth the price itself!

Fantastic opportunity to view wild seals
Fantastic two hour cruise that also goes past the Nobbies and multiple beaches along Phillip Island. We spent quite a bit of time at Seal Rock, which was fabulous as we got to watch hundreds of seals jumping and playing in the water; some even came up to the boat for a sniff. Only downside: I was a bit annoyed to be offered a professional 'boarding photo', only to be told later that it would cost an extra $15 to take home. Given that the cruise is already over $80, I would have thought something like that would be included; maybe inform guests before taking the photo that there is a charge?

I had the best day on their seal rocks tour. It was amazing. They have coffee and drink on board and you can purchase soft drinks. They also served us cake and have colouring in for the kids. Highly recommend

I have done several whale watching cruises overseas but this was our first trip in Australia and it was equal if not better than the overseas ones. We where fortunate to see a whale as it’s a bit hit and miss if the whales are sighted. Not only did we see a humpback whale but also saw pods of juvenile seals and common dolphins. The staff on the boat where very helpful with information about the area and the wildlife we saw. It was cold but you could stay inside until the wildlife was sighted. Morning tea and a light lunch plus tea and coffee was included in the ticket. If you have any dietary requirements if you advised these when booking they where catered for. I had a lovely time and would highly recommend this cruise.

Whales usually pass through the Phillip Island region from May to November. You can sometimes see these giants of the deep from the shore, but the whale watching cruise will give you a better view. The waters of Bass Strait are one of the world's best locations for whale watching.

The Winter Whale Watching cruise was surprising popular considering we were on board an almost empty Gordon River Cruise at Strahan, Tasmania the previous week.

People were queuing at the jetty long before boarding commence. Many people were flocking to the small upper deck. This is not necessary as you will be able to watch the wildlife from any part of the ship. Main deck bow is a good spot too.

We wacthed the fur seal colony at Round Island for about 15mins, watching the seals swim, play and feed before we head east along the sounthern shores of Phillip Island. That's where the whale search begin.

We spent a good hour cruising east wards before the crew caught sight of the first blow near Pinnacles Lookout. There was a couple of humpbacks feeding in the area as we watch them for an hour. We were fortunate that one humpback decided to breach once and never again for our cruise. One of the whale came near to the boat and we can see her glide under the water. The whales are usually far away and it's futile to use your smartphone to take a photo of the whale.

The snack and lunch onboard was reasonable with free flow hot drinks available.

Considering the amount of time we spent on the boat and the different sights and commentary provided by the Cpt, this tour is value for money.

Hi Johnny_Neo, Thank you so much for taking the time to review your cruise! How exciting to hear that you saw a breaching whale! Did you know researchers think they jump out of the water to communicate or maybe to knock off any barnacles they may have on their skin? Very lucky to see this amazing activity. We hope to see you onboard again. Kind regards, Bree

I have to give credit to the crew, especially Mel, they were fantastic and really made the cruise enjoyable - even though it was 2.5m swells. We were lucky enough to have a curious whale come right up to the boat. I would recommend this cruise to anyone without hesitation.

We did two cruises, winter whale watching and dolphin and whale watching both at Phillip Island. The crew was very knowledgeable, friendly and caring. We enjoyed the view of whales and seals and we learnt a lot about these sea animals. However on board the boat there was not rubbish separation between recyclable, landfill and compostable. Even though the Phillip Island shire has this classification for the rubbish of the island the boats don't follow it. Also, tea and coffee cups were not recyclable or compostable, tea bags wrappers were plastic and they had lots of disposable plastic cutlery on board. Hence the chances of these cups, wrappers and cutlery ending in the ocean inside of our beloved whales is quite high :( Besides, all of the items mentioned above came in plastic bags and lets dont talk about the massive waste of paper for all the photos tourists didn't buy and this paper wasn't even recycled after disposal :( ................ @WildlifeCruises should definitely apply in their business what they preach about caring for sea animals and their environment.

Hello 523lizk, Thank you for taking the time to send in your feedback. Our crew love what they do and we are always glad to hear this shines through. In regards to your feedback about the eco friendliness onboard this is something we are constantly working on and have made a significant number of changes. Some of these changes are not so visible, such as changing our power source from generators to a much more environmentally friendly inverter systems. We also have stopped supplying straws, as well as stocking carton water. Our plates and cutlery are all reusable and we are in the process of changing suppliers for our coffee cups to a compostable option. We always request customers bring along there own water bottle and keep cup for tea and coffee. While we cannot control our suppliers we do always request minimal or no plastic packaging where possible. If plastic package is supplied we do our best to re-use or recycle it. Our crew are always on the lookout for rubbish and debris which we pick up from the jetty and collect from the water, from chairs to toys, balloons and even roadwork signage. We also employ an environmental officer who apart from many other tasks, partakes in ocean clean up education days along with PINP rangers With some way to go, we have almost halved the rubbish produced just by changing onboard operations in the last 3 years, with the aim of halving that again in the next 2 years. We will take your feedback on board and as always we will endeavour to do our part for the environment. Kind Regards, Jess.

Our third cruise with Wildlife Coast did not disappoint with multiple humpback whale sightings. Simply awesome to see these majestic creatures up close. Visit to Seal Rocks where we saw plenty of pups cavorting and the stunning cliffs of Cape Woolamai on our trip 'round the island was an added bonus. Warm soup and savoury muffin for lunch as well as the customary cake was welcome on a chilly day. Great crew as always and appreciated the captains insights into the behaviour of the whales. Keen to do the Wilson's Prom Cruise soon!

Awesome day out with the crew of Brianna-Lee. Very comfortable day aboard despite 2-3 meter swell running. Saw 2 humpbacks as soon as we rounded Seal Rocks into Bass Strait. Seals, seabirds and scenery as well. Great day guys, thanks.
