What to Expect
Meet your guide in central Melbourne and begin your journey south to Phillip Island. En route, your guide provides information about the area and its native animals. Stop at Warrook Farm for a delicious afternoon tea with scones, jams, and cream (own expense) and to spot some kangaroos before heading to Phillip Island. Once on the island, stop in at the Koala Conservation Centre, walk across the elevated boardwalk, and search for koalas—most of whom will be asleep or chewing eucalyptus leaves—in their natural habitat. Next up is the famous Penguin Parade on Summerland Beach. Enjoy a complimentary drink while you wait for hundreds of little penguins to waddle back to their burrows after a day of swimming. After the parade, stop to enjoy a quick bite to eat (own expense) before your tour ends back in Melbourne.

Terrific experience with this tour operator. Our bus driver's conversation with us was engaging with his many firsthand experiences about the area, and it sounded like he really enjoyed his work. Not boring at all! Comfortable and safe ride. I was in Melbourne November 28, 2019

Hello K8461TQmarkj! Thank you kindly for the 5 star rating! :) It truly is amazing how spoilt we are now with numerous Penguins viewing options on offer! Organised viewing started in the 1920s, when three local residents decided to take tourists by torchlight to see the Penguins arrive at that same beach. Other upgrades include VIP Skybox (watch from the Ranger's box with later access to Underground Viewing), Penguins Plus (high penguin traffic area), Underground Viewing (out of the elements eye-level viewing with later access to Penguins Plus) and the Guided Ranger Tour (reviewed above). We appreciate you booking with Gray Line. Best wishes, Jane
