When even the crew and captain are dumbstruck, you know it was a good day of whale watching. On Sep 27, 2021, we definitely got our money's worth, and then some, when a single humpback whale was breaching for over 30 minutes, as our boat stayed parallel to its path. The weather that day was perfect, and the entire experience was simply magical.

One of the most amazing days on the water. This was a bucket list for my 77 yr old father and let me tell you he was thrilled. After being sick for 2 years there isn’t much he can enjoy. The whales must of known as they were out just for him, to hear my dad cheering, clapping and the smile on his face was worth everything to us.
Thank you to the entire crew for making this day happen. Beautiful weather so we got lucky. The tail show from the whales was awesome, my family had the best time.
Highly recommend doing this excursion. The commentator throughout the trip was excellent explaining everything everyone on the crew was extremely nice and beyond helpful with whatever you needed. You can rent binoculars on the boat for six dollars, the food and drinks on the boat everything was reasonable.
Don’t forget to hit up the gift shop they have lots of awesome presents you can get and or something for yourself.
They are ADA equipped and my father had zero trouble getting his way around with his walker.

Thar she blows! We saw a whale and a ton of dolphins on our tour! This was my families’ 3rd trip this year on the Cape May Whale Watcher and each trip has been fun and awesome! As always, Captain Stewart was very informative and entertaining. The crew was friendly and attentive to the needs of customers on the boat. The boat was super clean and the whale tail markers on the decks were super helpful with keeping all the of the customers safe. This family owned and family operated small business is as iconic as the lighthouses, boardwalks, and beaches down the shore. Thank you to the Stewart Family and the Cape May Whale Watcher crews for making 2020 a little better one trip at a time. I can’t wait to hang my Cape May Whale Watcher ornament on my Christmas this year that I had bought from their Dancing Dolphin Gift Shop. I highly recommend taking a tour with the Cape May Whale Watcher, but if you can’t make it down there in person, they broadcast Facebook virtual tours for everyone to enjoy seeing the dolphins and whales in the comfort of your homes.

Used groupon to book this tour we did the 2 1/2 hr whale/dolphin cruise. Nice sight seeing tour very well narrated learned a lot about the different beaches and buildings also a lot about nature and the ocean animals. This is great if you enjoy a slower pace tour. We didn't see a whale but we saw many dolphins even some babies. Now I have been on the Thundercat as well and if you enjoy speed or want more of a thrill I recommend that boat as well. Thundercats the dolphins jump up out of the waves behind you and along the boat where the whale watcher you will see them more scattered I enjoy both kinds of trips. Would definitely recommend and will do it again.

My wife and I were celebrating our 30th wedding Anniversary with different day trips all week. We ended with a great whale and dolphin cruise. This was our first time looking for dolphins but had been out to sea half dozen times before so we knew what to expect. Our experience on the Whale watcher was great. The boat was not at capacity so we were able to move around more freely. The personnel was great. The tutorials were informative. **one suggestion would be to update the loud speakers system, it is hard to hear when out in the open***. The weather was great and the seas were relativity calm (for the ocean). We spent most of the time right at the head of the ship. The COVID face masks came in very handy today and kept our face warm. I am sorry to say we did not see any whales, but we did see quite a few dolphin pods. I would recommend this trip to anyone. But please remember too, you will be on a big boat that goes out into the ocean and can hit some pretty good size waves.

Captain Jeff expertly piloted his craft to provide an hour or more of continuous dolphin watching. Excellent! Along the way, we were provided with a detailed narrative of the surrounding area and attractions. This tour was one of the best things we did on this vacation. I cannot recommend it more highly. Go for it!

I have never written a review in my life but our captain really did everything in his power to try to get us to see a whale I felt it was the least I could do. We saw dolphins in the first 30-45 minutes and there was a lot of them. However, we spent the rest of the trip trying to find a whale. We enjoyed snacks and drinks while our trip searched, hearing information the entire trip but why I am writing this review is the determination of our Captain. He extended our time by over a hour just so that way he could continue to search for a whale. This is way above what is required of the crew to do and when we finally saw the whale it was surreal. I got amazing videos/photos for just using an Iphone. Our group was obviously lucky however, the captain was persistence was the only reason we got lucky. The crew can not control if you see a whale but they will do everything they can to try and get you to see one.

Beyond seeing these magnificent creatures in their habitat, what struck me was how this felt more like a personal tour than a hurried, dispassionate commercial one. Was clear that there is a special bond between the crew and the mammals, not just their extensive knowledge of them that our captain delighted us with throughout the journey, but also how they maneuvered the boat and extended the length of the tour to make sure all were able to truly take in the beauty of the dolphins and whales. Not for those who don't like boats, being in the middle of the ocean, or like to relax. Highly recommend for all who do.

The captain and crew did a great job taking us out into the Atlantic Ocean in search of whales and dolphins. We saw many schools of hundreds of dolphins and we did see humpback whales. What a wonderful sight!
Passengers had a choice of sitting on the main, upper deck or inside air conditioned cabin where there was a snack bar with pizza, hot dogs, chips, soft drinks and a full bar. Large rest rooms located aft on both sides.

Went on the breakfast whale watching tour. Very fun and informational. Got to see a group of dolphins, and a lot of Cape May history. I recommend bringing binoculars, or renting for $6 on the boat. Great crew and Captain.
