    What to Expect
Make your way to the Kentucky Derby Museum at the Churchill Downs Racetrack, where you can present your voucher for admission to the museum and grounds. Follow the history and culture of the derby at your own pace: exhibits include trophies and artifacts from some of the Kentucky Derby’s greatest winners, a selfie-ready reproduction of the ‘Winners Circle,’ and an 18-minute, 360-degree, immersive movie about the Kentucky Derby called ‘The Greatest Race.’

At 30 minutes past the hour, you’ll have the chance to join a guided walking tour of the Churchill Downs racetrack. Follow a guide through the track where racing’s most famous jockeys have ridden horses such as Secretariat, Barbaro, Big Brown, California Chrome, and American Pharaoh to big, memorable wins.

Adjacent to the Kentucky Derby Museum are the Finish Line Gift Shop and the Derby Café, which celebrates the derby with Kentucky fare like mint juleps and hot browns.

Great visit to learn about Kentucky’s love of horses and the Big Derby Day race that has gone on since 1875!! Our guide Barry was an expert on the subject. We went on the walking tour included with admission and also on tour of the back side seeing over 400 horses and learning

I enjoyed the museum and the Barnyard van tour purchased separately. Very exciting to see in person! I would not recommend the Derby Cafe - very poor service and out of soup at lunch. Poorly run!

Great to see in person after watching many Derbys on TV. Arrived early and got tickets for the walking tour and museum admission plus extra charge for the stable and infield tour. Both worthwhile. The movie is a must see! Lots of history and artifacts to see. Great display of

We went in the early morning and found parking and got into the very next tour without having had a reservation. The movie that begins the tour was unique and well worth the time. Presenter was polite and funny as well as informed. Tour guide then took us throughout the race

I could have easily spent 3-4 hours here. The offer a great 30 walking tour that is informative and takes you inside the arena/track. And a great 10-15 minute video on a huge oval screen. There are other tours I wish I had done more research on and would have been able to do.
