Get a behind-the-scenes look at the thoroughbred horse farm lifestyle. Also, see where scenes from the movies ‘Secretariat,’ ‘Seabiscuit’ and ‘Dreamer’ were filmed.

We went on the Thoroughbred Heritage Horse Farm tour this morning. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the tour. Our tour director Mike was very knowledgeable about all aspects of horse farms and racing. We highly recommend this tour.

Yes, we did the 8:30am tour. They require a minimum of 4 for the tour - we originally signed up for the 12:30pm tour, but earlier in the week of our tour we were asked if we could do the 8:30 - we agreed, but the afternoon tour did make its minimum. The tour van picks up and drops off at the Embassy Suites on Newton Pike. You do not have to be a registered guest to go there for the tour. Arrangements can be made for pickup at other hotels - website has details.
