We chose the cheapest alternative for this riverboat tour because it was the only one that fit our schedule. Still, it was an informative ride on a chilly morning. Our guide was entertaining, and we don't feel like we missed anything by not taking a longer tour.

We took this tour at the end of our stay, so it was kind of repetitive to a walking tour, as expected. The tour guide was very knowledgable, and was moving fast through the descriptions and facts. I would prefer longer stories about some buildings vs short facts about everything. Kids 6 and 10 didn't like it much.

If you are debating whether to attend a cruise or not... DO IT! I went on a windy afternoon in November, brought a jacket and some sunglasses and enjoyed the experience 100%! Craig was our guide. He was knowledgeable, approachable, and really facilitated the entire experience. All of the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Even the lady at the ticket booth helped get us set up and on our way! My friend suggested Wendella Tours and I am so happy she did! I can't wait to do it again! Thanks Wendella!

There is no Handicap Accessibility to the docks which was not made clear. Upon arrival one of the tickets booths were closed, by the time I was able to physically make it to the other, we were told we were too late, but for $102, we could go on the next ride.

The cruise over all was great. The boat was clean, bathrooms were clean and your guide was knowledgeable. However when we were getting off of the boat there was a worker that was working on top of the boat. She repeatedly yelled at a group of tourists to get off the boat. This lady was so rude and kept telling them to get off the boat and quit taking pictures. However there was still a group downstairs there was several people still on the boat. Lady was racist towards this group of people. They were not even with us but several people noticed cause she made such a big scene. For this reason I would NOT recommend. I would give a zero if I could.

This was amazing. I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would. I really just wanted to ride through the river at night on a boat. But the tour guide was phenomenal— he was very funny, VERY knowledgeable and he made it all so interesting! Everything was handled really well by the staff. Highly recommend.

Nothing about this trip was bad. It was all good. The price was most inviting and we took the tour more than once on different days just for the boat ride. We were able to take a day ride and a night ride. Makes for beautiful pictures. Everyone was friendly, the boat was super clean and the ride was very relaxing.

The boat tour was nice. It’s parking that ruined the experience for me. I called ahead of time to ask about parking. I was informed on the phone that they validate parking at trump tower for up to 6 hours. We spent 1.5 hours in the trump tower parking and that was $32. The parking sticker Windella boat tour gave was good for $14. We had to pay $18 out of pockets, which was not planned. Getting innacurate information was beyond frustrating.

Great service and the guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I went with the whole family in a very cold morning, it was still worth it. The guide kept reminding us that if we were cold to go downstairs where there is heat and hot beverages. He was very accommodating.

If you are visiting Chicago and want to experience learning about the downtown in a very relaxed manner this is it!! The ship was huge and staff was very courteous!! The whole tour lasted about 45 mins and it covered the perfect opportunities to capture the beauty of Chicago downtown. Breathtaking views of buildings along with the history behind them. My guide( Sara) was very knowledgeable and even after the tour she offered great suggestions to eat and shop in the area. Absolutely must if you are visiting and in particular short on time.

No, we didn't need face masks when we did the boat trip (which was mid July).
It’s stated here that we should go to the Magnificent Mile, for the boat tour. Magnificent Mile is 15min walking off the river. Is that the actual place or do I have the directions wrong? Seems like the other tours ask the guests to meet them somewhere on the water.

The boarding location was by dock near the trump tower when I went last Saturday. There’s also staff that will help you locate the boarding area at the magnificent mile near the DuSable bridge.
