The tour was amazing, beginning that is very punctual. He was very patient, dedicative on its time and you recognize that all the history on the architecture and every question you have it’s very well answered. We recommend the tour to explore the history of Chicago since the beginning of the town because it’s helps you to expand your knowledge and being familiarized. The places that were selected to eat were excellent. Tall Dave was an amazing guide, he was prepared for all circumstances (umbrellas), he spend more time that we agreed, don’t rush us to take pictures and we feel comfortable in every aspect. We enjoy the time with him and we’re grateful for everything and more.

This was my first time visiting Chicago and I searched for a tour that would give me an introduction to the city, as well as detailing its history and point out places I could go back to explore further in my own time. This tour ticked all of those boxes.

The city is beautiful, and the guide took time to explain the importance of difference buildings and areas throughout the tour. The guides knowledge was fantastic, there wasn't much they didn't know, and they were always happy to answer questions and provide recommendations on what else to see and do whilst in the city. Not to forget the food that's included in the tour. All traditional to the area and in places I may not have found on my own. It all tasted amazing, safe to say you won't need to eat after this tour!

I'd highly recommend this tour to anybody who hasn't been to Chicago before; it's a great way to see key aspects of the city in 1 day!

This was my first time for my family & I visiting Chicago, and we took this tour on our first day in the city. So glad we did as it helped us make the most of the remainder of our time here. Our local guide Kevin showed us all of the main highlights of downtown Chicago & the riverfront, but also took us on a tasting tour of the best local food in Chicago.
I would highly recommend this tour as the perfect combination of exploring the main sights + eating your way around the city. The small group size was also a real perk! At the end of the tour, our local guide gave us a list of must visit local restaurants that we should not miss during our stay, and they were great! Would highly recommend this tour!

It was an interesting experience. It was very cold and windy, even in late April. Wish we would have known to dress for winter. Tour seemed a bit haphazard with a lot of back and forth. We tried caramel corn, brownies and chocolate before lunch. And then we had back to back hotdogs, beef sandwiches and then pizza. We were rushed through our stops, so we're unable to purchase items on our own from the vendors. Guide was friendly enough, but needed to practice more covid protocols like not passing around his phone to show pics, videos, etc. We learned some things about Chicago history and archetecture. But we had hoped for more insight.

We had a 5-star experience with Rich our tour guide! Our group was small, I think 9 or 10 in total and Rich was fully engaging with the entire group. We did the add on food tour and Rich not only knows a lot about Chicago...but food! The tour was about 5 hours long, but we zipped along at a great pace - not feeling rushed, but feeling like we got to see and experience everything. Thanks Rich for a great experience.

I had the opportunity to join the Tour with Lara!! It was a must do tour. Not only we got a good overview about Chicago, but we got to enjoy the must "eats" and we learnt the do and do not. Lara kept the tour fresh and fun. She adapted to her audience so everyone was able to learn more about what they were interested it. I feel like I would have missed in some experience and deep knowledge of the city if I didn't go to this tour.

Whenever my husband and I travel to a new destination we always take a city tour and this one was by far the best! Chicago Dave was our guide. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and really made the experience so amazing. It was a nice small group and he tailored the tour for us, We started at the Chicago Theater and then several amazing stops including The Bean, The Chicago Athletic Club, Marshall Fields, he pointed out areas of interest and gave us the history of many locations and his own personal stories. We ate at Garrett's popcorn, got chocolates at Marshall Fields, Sat down at different restaurants for Samples of a Chicago Dog, then an Italian Beef at Portillo's, then a little more walking and talking before we arrived at our final destination. Lou Malnati's for a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza! Highly Recommend. Dave was the BEST GUIDE!!!

We were welcomed warmly by the guides upon arrival at The Chicago Theater - an iconic bit of Chicago architecture. We were assigned to "Tall Dave" who, for the next 5 hours kept us amused, informed and well fed. I'm a senior and not in perfect shape, but the walking was well paced and quite doable, even for me. The first half of the tour focused on the architecture and history of downtown Chicago and we saw many amazing buildings and interiors. The second half focused on some of Chicago's most fun and famous comfort foods. All were as good or better than I was expecting. Thanks again to Tall Dave for leading us on a great expedition.

This tour with Chicago Dave was by far our favorite experience in Chicago. We got to view the sites and taste the tastes with a person who truly loves this city. It made all the difference. Rather than giving information or statistics, he told us stories and experiences that helped us love this city too.

Also, one member of our party was in a power wheelchair, and everywhere we visited was wheelchair accessible. Finding an accessible tour was difficult, and we don't feel like we missed a thing.

This tour was a great way to get a taste of Chicago food, scenery, history, and experience different areas of the city in one day. Lara was our guide and she did a great job making the tour personable and friendly but while also giving the group tons of info on her hometown history, facts and tidbits. I also appreciated that she took the group to several great spots you would miss in other less intimate tours.

You definitely hit a lot of the highlights of the city over the 5 hours (which seemed long at booking but you cover a lot of ground and it was a perfect amount of time) and probably log at least 3-4 miles of walking. That may seem like a lot but the tour is well paced and never felt rushed. Also work up an appetite for the majority of the food that comes towards the tail end of the tour.

My favorite food spot was for the Chicago dog and Italian beef. So tasty and a hole in the wall spot you’d likely just walk by otherwise.

Great tour to get a taste of Chicago!
