Kelly , our tour guide, was absolutely our favorite guide. This tour is good for your first day in Chicago. Kelly knows the city very well and offers so much insight to each stop on the tour. She knows the history and reveals it so easily as you make your stops. She allowed plenty of time for photos and questions.

We took the Best of Chicago History and Culture Tour with David on January 2nd. We had a small group (6 people) which made it very easy to hear him and to navigate the streets of Chicago. David is a native Chicagoan and had very interesting information to share with us as well as great popcorn and chocolate. We wanted a tour that would give us a better understanding of what makes Chicago the wonderful city it is and he delivered. I recommend it.

Kelly was great. Listening to her talk about the history and architecture of the buildings was amazing. She's so knowledgeable. The route took us on the pedway, over bridges, on the riverwalk, a candy store, magnificent mile, and millennium park. We also walked by the Chicago river and it was beautiful. The city was quiet due to the pandemic and recent rioting but it made the tour better because we had the streets to ourselves. This tour is great way to get familiar with the area. After the tour my daughter and I were able to navigate the Loop area by ourselves.

We only had a short amount of time in the city so this tour was perfect. We learned a lot about Chicago and saw some wonderful architecture that we wouldn’t never have found on our own. The little snacks were a bonus and Dave our guide was great.

Dave our guide was knowledgeable of the area. Difficulty in hearing him over all the noise. This is tour is for those who can walk a distance. Also involves stairs. Bring water. He was a great guide, patient with his customers questions and kind.

Our guide, Lara was phenomenal! I would tour with her anywhere. She made us feel comfortable and welcome. Great mix of history, fun facts, & hit all the important places. Us South Carolina girls had a ball. Thank you so much!

We've now done +10 trips with Urban Adventures around the world and this was one of the best.
It was a great combination of culture, architecture and food - and we had done separate food and architecture tours on this visit and there was almost no dupilcation. The "off the beaten track" objective was delivered again as we saw and learned about a whole bunch of things we'd missed during our previous wanderings.
David was an amazing guide - so knowledgeable and enthusiastic and he made a real difference.
Thanks Urban Adventures and David - you had a real impact on our time in Chicago

David gave us a wonderful tour of Chicago. It was nice to see the Macy's (Formerly Marshall Fields) Christmas decorations and many famous architectural features that we would have missed on our own. Highly recommend booking a tour with David.

Lora did a great job showing us the city center city of Chicago. We walked over three miles and covered so many different and interesting sites...the tour included a nice boat ride along the river and stops to taste great popcorn and chocolate. Lora was very engaging and knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. The price of the walking tour was reasonable, the size of the tour was small...this was much better than the free walking tours that are usually much larger in size. She shared quite a few interesting tidbits and stories about the history of Chicago. This tour was a great way to see the highlights of Chicago in a relatively short amount of time. I highly recommend this tour!
