A little pricey but good memories family experience

Really loved the speed boat ride. Our tour guide Declan, made it a fun experience. I went with my husband and my 9, 6, amd 4, year old. They loved it. Definitely our clothes got wet, so I would suggest a light waterproof jacket, or a change of shirt. Price wise, well they did have a $18 city amusement fee aside from "other fees" plus a Gas fee and then taxes added. So it was a little on the pricey side. Still a memorable family experience.

Fun but expensive
This 30 minute boat tour was fun and the guide a young guy was funny and knowledgeable. The price on line was not what we paid in person. For 2 adults we paid $94.00 Wich was high for the time but we had fun an it was vacation. Also $25.00 for picture package was to much. One picture for $10.00 would have been better.

Ok but stressful

The ride was enjoyable. Trip Advisors listed City Experiences as the name of the boat company. Sea Dog boating personnel did not know they are affiliated with City Experiences and initially turned us away. We had already spent 45 minutes looking for the right boat so we knew to persist. Trip advisor website stated the trip was nonrefundable AND that an alternate date or full refund would be offered if trip was canceled due to weather. Which one is true?

Awful, time frames are not accurate at booking with the "Seadog" agency.

Ensure you are at the pier 10-15 minutes before the advised 815 pm time frame. We missed our boat after arriving at the pier at 8:03 pm. The entire boat was packed and the security checkpoints/staff stated that there was "no 815pm time slot," even when I showed them the confirmation for my time slot. They both looked confounded as the boat took off in front of us.

I am very disappointed we did not get to experience this on our short vacation. Be wary of who you book this trip through, ours was through "Chicago Seadog Lakefront Speedboat Tour." I am currently hoping I can still get a refund for this unsatisfied trip.

We had a spectacular experience. We were concerned due to our son having autism, but he absolutely loved it. Captain Jamie, First Mate Swag and Guide Cool J were welcoming, and provide everything needed for a safe and professional trip. We loved it so much that we went back a couple of hours later for another ride during the fireworks display on Lake Michigan.

I took my family and my in-laws, who were in town for their anniversary, on the 30 minute speedboat ride this morning for their first time before lunch downtown, today. I’ve been on on many of their different lake/river excursion options but this one never fails to offer a little speed, fun, and offer up Chicago’s magnificent skyline. Captain Tom and our guide, Abby, were fantastic!

What a blast.
Highly recommend the seadog speedboat tour. Our 8 year old loved it. Our tour guide was funny. I think his name was skunk. He was keeping everyone laughing the while 30 mins on the boat ride. We can't wait to come back and try the extreme seadog.

Fun Seadog Cruise

Seadog Cruises offered a fun, informative 30 minute jaunt around the Chicago Skyline. Our Captain Swag and Steve and narrator Chopper were funny, friendly and very helpful. We has a group of 15 including three wheelchairs. They helped get the chairs up and down the ramps and couldn't have made our party feel more special.
Very fun for the kids and with a tiny bit of spray to cool us off!

Fun!
Fun tour! Seats are cushioned and comfy. It was a hot day, but once we got up to speed it was very wind and a little cold, so take a jacket or windbreaker, even if it is 90 degrees. Our Guide. Abby was fun and Jamie’s was a skilled Captain!

The most entertaining experience

Tour guide Ted Bear, first mate Camille and captain Tom provided my wife and I with an experience we will never forget.

Ted was our guide and made the whole tour super fun, even the safety talk! He is a natural!

Captain Tom and Camille kept us safe during the whole ride.

Couldn’t have gotten a better crew to appreciate the Chicago Skyline and feel the lake wind on our faces!

Will go back for more!
