Ride was great along the Lake and upper neighborhoods, but became more of a walking tour at Millennium park and trying to get back onto the bike path to return due to street closures because of the marathon. Food stops were just ok- Lou malnati’s for deep dish, Chicago dog at a small local place and gelato by the river. We only took the food and bike tour as there were no more options for just the bike tour. If we come back, we’ll just rent bikes by the lake for $8 and avoid the $80 cost for this tour. We did meet very nice people in our group!

Chloe was fabulous. We made plans to take the family tour on our FIRST day and what a great way to start our vacation. Chloe showed us all the great landmarks and entertained us with some great history of Chicago. Biking is definitely the way to go to fully acclimate yourself to the city. We covered 9 miles in 4 hours. I have a good feel of the city now. I felt safe and encourage anyone who has never been to Chicago to do this.

Paul was very knowledgeable and funny. He made sure everyone was safe and questions were answered with pleasure. The view along lakeshore was spectacular. The food spots, however, were the typical tourist spots. Nothing to write home about, not the best pizza nor the best hot dogs that several locals told us about. We love to try local favorites or hidden gems in our food tours so we were a bit disappointed.

Thanks for your feedback. The Family/Food bike tour with Top Attractions samples some of the most famous foods invented here in Chicago such as Chicago-style pizza and hot dogs. Food items kids tend to enjoy. We do have other tours if you're interested in 'foodie' type experiences and maybe would have been a better option for you, such as the Westside Foodie Bike Ride. We would love to discuss further what your expectations were going into the tour that caused your expectations not to be met. Maybe we could update something in the description to better explain the tour? Please feel free to email us at contactus @ bobbysbikehike.com so we can learn more. For future guests, it is important to note this tour samples from Lou Malnati's Pizzeria (the most popular local Chicago-style pizza and Lou actually helped invent the deep dish pie), Mr. Jay's (a local 5 decade old ma-and-pa institution) serving classic delicous Vienna beef hot dogs, another local ma-and-pa serving up amazing desserts along the Chicago Riverwalk. The other thing guests should note is while you can get these food items at plenty of places in the City, and everyone has their own favorites, our local guides want to make sure your food experience balances with the best sites as well. And while we do cover alot of ground, there is only so many places you can cover safely on a bike tour. This tour covers the best of Chicago attractions all in one tour; such as the Gold Coast neighborhood, the Lakefront, Riverwalk, Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, and Museum Campus. So when you combine the original Chicago foods with the best of Chicago attractions, we think this tour delivers quite nicely for families. But we're sorry it didn't meet your expectations. Let us know if there is a better way for us to describe this tour as we're always eager to exceed expectations. Or at the very least meet them.

Shout out to our tour guide, Gabe! He clearly knows the in’s, out’s and history of this city. We had been on 2 other tours that same day but he still had more to tell us and made a quiz out of it all to test us. A chilly and rainy night turned into all the laughs and memories made with my girls. We had been touring Chicago all weekend but this was the most fun and interactive, hands down.
