        Natural and Airboats tours
The nature walk was very informative as we learned a lot about the wildlife and their habitat. We did the walk first while it was cooler. The Airboat ride in the Everglades was a little slow paced. We stopped to look at the old homestead of the Indian Tribes who used to live in the Everglades. We didn't find that too interesting. The Airboat ride was fun and seeing the rehab area and learning about the rescue efforts was good.

A great introduction to the Everglades
We had a wonderful day in the Everglades with Wild Lime. Our main guide and driver, Julia, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were impressed with how much she knew even though she had only been leading tours for 3 weeks. We enjoyed our nature walk and two boat rides. These were actually outsourced to other operators by Wild Lime, but both boat captains were also very knowledgeable and friendly. We did see lots of birds, lots of plants, a few dolphins, some turtles, and some alligators. The last included a few larger ones near a visitor center, a tame one named "Mama" near where we started our airboat trip, and some babies. We did not see any large truly wild gators during our airboat ride, but that was because the mothers were on their nests on the grassy islands and the males each have 2 square mile territories which makes them harder to come across. I also imagine that the loud airboats scare them away. We were served a very generous lunch and given souvenir metal water bottles that we used the rest of our vacation and brought home with us. We felt safe the entire trip. Overall, this tour is a great way to spend a day in the Everglades, especially if you have never visited before.

Walk was excellent, airboat element was a little disappointing
We received a text message the day before confirming pick up time. The van arrived on time and was full (17) so pick up took 35 minutes, then a further 45 minutes drive to Everglades. We saw mother and baby alligators and turtles on the walk. The naturalist who lead out tour was excellent. Snacks, soft drinks and water are supplied after the walk along with a souvenir water bottle. The actual airboat was much slower and sedate than we expected. There was a party of more elderly people in our group who looked like they had back issues, so possibly this was taken into account but we felt it was a bit disappointing for the younger ones who would have liked a slightly faster pace, if only for a short burst. It felt more like the flat boat ride we’d taken through the swamp in New Orleans. Stopped off at two islands along the way. We saw a couple of tiny baby alligators on the airboat ride, but nothing much else. Not sure who the guide was on the airboat but he didn’t seem as good as other people have had.

Great way to visit the Everglades
We had a great day. Tour guide Lindsey was friendly and knowledgeable. The walk wasn’t challenging and on it we saw a lot of wildlife; snakes, turtles, grasshoppers and (of course) alligators. The boat ride was excellent and we again saw a number of alligators. Snacks and water provided. Would do again in an instant.

        Great Experience
This was a great tour. Our guide, Alex, was professional, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. There were quite a few adult and baby alligators, birds and a variety of fish on our nature walk. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour learning about the Everglades.

Top notch experience at Everglades + Air Boat ride
This was a great experience! It wasn't too long or short, and we got to see a lot of amazing wildlife along the Everglades. Lindsey, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and courteous, not to mention, a great driver! The separate air boat ride was surreal! This was supposedly longer than other air boat experiences offered, but certainly worth it. We got to see additional wildlife up close. It also helped that the weather was perfect for this kind of excursion. My friend and I both had a great time. We highly recommend this to others!

        Top tour of the Everglades!
Ryan was a fantastic guide! He knows so much about the ecosystem, the history, and the Native American tribes of the area. He kept us entertained all day (and it was a long day, as I was picked up from Ft. Lauderdale). The boat ride was fun and the airboat ride even more so. The wet walk was both gross and a fascinating close-up look at the ecosystem. This is definitely my top pick for a tour if you want to tour the Everglades.

Julia gave an excellent tour today, she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all kinds of different questions. She had great stories, and ran an efficient tour. She helped us plan additional sights in the Everglades for the afternoon as well. We felt we were able to learn about a lot about southern Florida!

        Amazing tour
The tour guide, JULIA, was amazing! Aside from being the most knowledgeable guide to the wildlife, history and culture of native peoples and ecosystem of the Everglades, she was also caring and attentive to individual needs of people in the tour. The highlights of our day were definitely the nature walk with Julia and the airboat ride- our driver also knew much about the wildlife of the area and made the boat ride fun!

We came across Wild Lime Adventures by chance but we are SO GLAD WE DID. Our day started early with a 7.30am pick-up from our hotel on South Beach and ended late evening (6pm-ish). The entire day was full of surprises, information and fun. The early start was a good idea as it enabled us to see more wildlife that we would have otherwise later in the day. It also meant we were there before the crowds of tourists that arrive later.
Our tour guide, Stacey, is a qualified marine biologist, she is absolutely brimming full of information about the Everglades, its wildlife, birds and animals as well as its delicate eco systems and its history. Stacey pointed out rare creatures to us and made this day very very special, totally unforgettable.
Our trip included a walk where we saw several baby alligators in their nests (and several large ones too), a boat trip around the Thousand Islands where a school of dolphins played in our wake, we also spotted a pair of manatees at the Thousand Islands, an air-boat ride to an Indian reservation and a stopover at a place where manatees like to hang out.
Every single part of this was special and Stacey gave us a continuous running commentary of information, hints and tips. Thank you Stacey and thank you Wild Lime Adventures for this unforgettable day. Stacey, you are THE BEST!

A definite 5* experience. Many thanks to Olena for her smooth driving and expert commentary. From pickup to drop off our group of 8 had a brilliant day. We appreciated being lead by experienced and knowledgeable staff and the sights and sounds that we experienced, particularly on the boat trips, will never be forgotten. The sight of a alrge group of while pelicans oscillating in flight against the backdrop of brilliant cloudless blue sky was an unforgettable experience. I thoroughly recommend this day out and would happily take the same tour knowing that each time would be different due to weather conditions and the season.

Really good option if you want to escape the city to explore the Everglades and don’t have a lot of time to plan or are travelling with companions of varying mobility. Our guide, Lance, was lovely, knowledgeable and a great story teller with lots to impart about natural and other history. He also managed our expectations well. My mum and I made up a group of 11, all in a comfortable mini-bus. Be aware you will have to do pick ups and drop offs at hotels etc, which will add journey time, although the company addressed our concerns about timings and transfers well. Lunch was very pleasant in an outdoor cafe. The boat rides were very different and the walk very gentle on board walks. Good for wildlife though I’d have preferred more information about the bird life from the boat drivers - it’s worth asking them questions though! Thanks Lance and Ben, Amanda

Thank you very much for leaving us this review. We appreciate your kind words about aspects of the trip. The pick ups are indeed part of a small group shared experience, but normally they are coordinated pretty close together, and do not take too much time. On your day though, unfortunately, there was a huge traffic accident on the roadway, adding to the length of the travel. Obviously there's not much we can do in these circumstances, but we regret the wait time to get the tour underway that day. Thank you for taking the time to leave the review and mentioning that you enjoyed the guide, and the time spent with your mom.

My wife, son, & I spent a full day with Ben, who guided us throughout the park, and saw more than we would have doing it on our own. We began with an Airboat tour through the River of Grass and saw alligators and visited a floating island. Then we hiked through “Sharks ?” and Ben pointed out the many birds, alligators, fish, and other wildlife of the Everglades. Appreciated the availability of rest rooms, water, soda, and snacks throughout the tour. The visit to Everglades City was a highlight for the wonderful lunch (featuring Cuban cuisine) and the boat rides throughout the many small islands. We especially enjoyed the many dolphins that entertained us and chased us and jumped in our wake as we left. On our return, we hiked through Big Cypress and found how the alligators create holes where the water remains as the natural receding season of the River of Grass occurs creating growth for trees and water for fish and other wildlife. Ben was great at reading the group and how much to hike! We left the tour happy and tired! Would recommend this tour to anyone interested in visiting the Everglades! They have sunscreen and insect repellent as needed.

Thank you for including so much of what you saw and did that day. That truly means a lot. We try to pack it all in, and allow people to see as much of 6 or 7 ecosystems within the real Everglades (9 in total) as possible, so thanks for noticing that. We loved seeing it all with you, and hope to see you again one day soon.

Before leaving home, I researched, to find an authentic Everglades trip. It was all that and more!
Our guide Mike, was the perfect laid back kind of guy, who was easily adaptable to changes and individual requests. Great personality and it was genuine!
I was alone, but mixed in with an interesting, diverse group of people, to whom this type of trip held a "back to nature" appeal.
During the course of the day, we set out on 4 walks, which were boardwalk paved. Lots of alligator sightings, with many newborns (cute when they're small)!
If you are interested in birds, it is nothing short of paradise.
We boarded a not fancy, airboat, for an hour long trip through the swamps. No other way to see that part of the Everglades.
Lunch was included, at a stone crab shack in Everglades City, complete with traps all around and wood picnic tables facing the water. What a spot! The crab cakes were huge and delicious.
Next stop was a thrill, with a power boat trip, leaving from Chokoloskee, Fl. Bet you haven't heard to it! Our driver was a young guy who was 6th. generation. He maneuvered us through the 10,000 islands region, while many dolphins swam along with us. So much history in those waters.
All in all, don't even think about going on a packaged "alligator wrestling" trip, when Wild Lime has a menu of offerings that will show you the real thing.
And, thank you Ben, for the organization leading up to my memorable trip. You really know how to run your company.

Thank you so very kindly for your wonderful review. We appreciate you taking some time to detail what you loved about the day, and for mentioning the appeal of doing the real Everglades, as opposed to places where people see animals in cages and pens. You're right. Why do that, when you can see tons of wildlife where it should be enjoyed, in the wild! Thanks as well for mentioning your guide, Mike. It means a lot to us that you came out there with us, and for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope to go on another adventure with you one day!

My brother, his 14-year old son, and I did the Full Day Tour: Wet Hike & Everglades Adventure Led by Ben, one of the owners of Wild Lime Adventures on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. We met the van at the Miccosukee General Store on Tamiami Trail. Easy ride from the Turnpike @ 8:20am. There were 12 in our group. It was a glorious crisp, 65 degree sunny day. I wore a sweatshirt, sweatpants, old sneakers, and hoodie with pockets and zippers to hold my valuables for our Swamp Walk. I wouldn't have picked this but my brother grew up playing in the creek in the summer looking for salamanders so I knew he would like it. Well, we all had a blast. You get wet up to your butt, but your top stays dry, and your shoes get muddy. I brought a change of clothes including underwear and shoes and used them. Do not fear the Wet Walk. It is awesome. Next up was our cruise through the 10,000 Islands only inhabited by birds, & raccoons from what we saw including a mother and baby dolphin. Our captain expertly maneuvered through the shallow water and the scenery was unbelievable. Next was lunch at the quaint Havana Cafe. We made several stops to view spectacular birds and the smallest post office before we got to our final destination, the iconic Airboat Ride through the Sea of Grass. This really was the icing on the cake of this most amazing tour that should be on anyone's bucket list. Ben and Wild Lime Adventures know what they're doing taking you to the best places in the Everglades with local experts. Thank you for making me a hero to my brother and nephew for finding this tour!

We just love your review. It is so personalized, as to why it was a special day to you, including why the wet walk was really cool, and how others shouldn't be intimidated by it! Truly amazing. We loved being out there with you and your family. We are also super thrilled they were happy with you too for the trip! We hope we will meet again, who knows, maybe on another adventure!

Wild Lime Tours is wonderful in every way. Communication from booking was easy and updates were provided. Our knowledgeable and welcoming guide Ben created a wonderful ambience in our group of strangers. Midway through the tour we were sharing experiences and as a collective enjoyed the just in time explanations of life in the Everglades and Florida. Ben was kind, engaging and solicitous. Our boat trip was conducted by Elvis who made sure we saw plenty of alligators! I can’t recommend this trip and company more highly!

This trip should be on every nature lovers bucket list! When can you dip your toes in the Atlantic Ocean in the morning and take a boat ride in the Gulf of Mexico in the afternoon? Wild Lime Everglades Adventure did just that. Lance our host/ tour guide was so gracious and knowledgeable about the history and biology of the area. He kept my interest peaked with everything he told us and answered any questions we had. He made sure we had snacks and drinks throughout the day and just pretty much made sure we were happy and comfortable. We had a delicious lunch sitting on the beach on the Gulf and then took a boat ride to see dolphins and white pelicans. We loved the airboat ride to the historic Miccosuki Indian village. Osprey, egrets, herons, alligators, fabulous plant life... just all so amazing... I can't say enough about Lance. He was just the best! Thank you Wild Lime for a day I will cherish the rest of my life. If you are in south Florida don't miss this amazing experience!

My boyfriend and I were taking a month long staycation in Miami and wanted to see the Everglades. This was hands down the best guided tour we've ever been on, it isn't your standard "tourist fare" and went above and beyond our expectations.

Communication leading up to our tour was seamless, they reached out to us to reschedule in anticipation of inclimate weather.

Our tour guide, Ben, was informative, funny and very personable. We got to see so much of the beauty, wildlife and learned about the history of the area. We were very grateful for the snacks and drinks they provided throughout the day. The itinerary was set, but we never felt rushed and there was even opportunity to do/see some impromptu things spontaneously (e.g. Stone Crab market, alligator sightings, museum). The highlight was the airboat tour on the Miccosukee reservation.

You can see the difference in how Wild Lime truly partners with organizations and groups to make our experience as amazing as it could be.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to leave us this great review. It truly means a lot in many ways. First of all, we were closed for about 7 months due to Covid-19, and we are just grateful to be back open doing what we love, and getting to experience the wild areas we love so much with like-minded people like you. Secondly, it means we are doing a few things right - and one of them you mention involves the wonderful people we partner with to make this trip happen, and to make it as authentic and immersive as possible. Thanks for recognizing and mentioning that. We really enjoyed spending the day with you! And we hope to see you again one day!

It was a great trip to Everglades. We visited a couple of different ecosystems and managed to see all the animals that we wanted to see: dolphins, a glimpse of a manatee and alligators. The only downside is that it's not COVID-safe. We spent quite a long time inside a minivan where I most definitely caught the virus from a symptomatic individual. I would suggest for the company to strongly encourage mask wearing inside a van, also having a guide wear a mask will encourage others to do so.

Thank you for coming on our tour. We are happy you liked the tour. We appreciate those comments; as well as your feedback regarding masks. We made masks optional for all phases of our tour starting just a couple of weeks ago, at the same time that the federal government decided to lift its mask requirement too for visitor centers in the National Parks, which can be pretty small areas. We visit these federal places on some of our tours, so we wanted to be in step with them for several reasons. Up until that point, we required them on some parts of the tour, including on the vehicle. Some airlines have also lifted or do not enforce a requirement at this time. Our protocols have been to take the virus seriously, but also to be mindful of where others are at and where society is at at this time. All of our guides have chosen to be vaccinated and boosted. We do take the virus seriously and will continue to monitor the situation by listening to the advice of experts. Thanks again for coming out there with us!
