Our tour guide, Zak, was phenomenal. The air boat ride was fun and we did see lots of alligators. Our favorite part of the tour was the boat ride with Smallwood Store boat rides, which is the last part of the tour. Our boat driver was Daryl and he made sure that he provided interesting history, laughs, and a great ride through the mangroves and islands made from clam shells. We even got to see dolphins. I can't say enough good things about this tour. BOOK IT TODAY. You won't be sorry. Thanks Zak for the fun day!

We had a large group of various ages, and everyone had a great time. We saw a Rattlesnake, Amazing birds, tons of alligators of all sizes, and much more. The airboat ride was fun and and full of wildlife. The best part without any question was our guide, Rett. He was extremely knowledgeable and spent huge amounts of effort into finding even more wildlife than expected. He was clearly very educated in his field and extremely interesting and personable. He was way above my expectations! The entire operation was very organized and professional, and there were NO crowds or waiting for anything. Absolutely worth the price!

If you want a taste of the Everglades this is the trip for you. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:30 in the morning and dropped off at 5:30pm. The host apologized that it was a full tour (we had 13 in our party... it was not crowded). We went on two walking tours, neither of which was high stress (the longest about a mile RT on a raised boardwalk over an alligator hole'. The guide explained plants and helped spot for wildlife. We saw alligators in numerous locations, along with plenty of variety in birds. We went all the way across from Miami to Everglade City, where we went on an hour high speed boat tour of 10,000 islands. These islands are the southern end of Florida in that region and more of a gulf experience that a traditional Everglades experience. I could have spent the whole day doing that one. We had dolphins play and race with us, we saw a small beach crowded with white pelican. On the way back we stopped at the reservation in the middle of the Everglades for an hour tour of the marshlands. We settled adjacent to an alligator nest with baby alligators coming in and out with mama alligator on the other side of the airboat. We visited native islands (now recreation areas for the tribe). The guide was disappointed that we didn't see any manatee on this particular trip. PS January is the best time to go. I've been in August. We had no problems with insects.

We were picked up at our hotel at 7:30am, nice comfortable van. Marc our guide was amazing. He was helpful, courteous, friendly and super knowledgeable about all aspects of the Everglades, including the plants, wildlife, ecology, water, and even development and politics. We drove to the park and embarked on a 1-hour airboat ride. It started to rain, and Marc provided ponchos to those without rain gear.
Next we continued to Everglades City where we had a very tasty lunch that was included. We added cash to the included gratuity. We drove on to Chokoloskee Island and had a boat ride in the ten thousand islands area where we say dolphins, white pelicans, and numerous other birds. We toured the Smallwood store and museum, and then returned to Ft. Lauderdale via Alligator Alley.

TERRIFIC! It's a long day, lots of driving, but it was the highlight of our trip. My 8 year old son absolutely loved it. he is a super animal nerd and Adam, our guide, was very enthusiastic especially about birds. By the end of the day my whole family was pointing out birds and identifying them. It was a great way to start our florida trip as we spent the rest of the week identifying the many avian species around us!

It was also a more comprehensive overview of the everglades than we would have gotten by just going on a 1 hr air boat ride. We learned about the various ecosystem of the Everglades and had a greater appreciation for the national park itself (not just the alligators). Suffice it to say the airboat ride was the LEAST exciting part of the day! Regarding alligators we saw at least 30, many up close. Luckily Adam took us to a place called oasis as we had extra time, and there we saw at least 20 there. We were lucky enough to only have 4 people on our group. Highly recommend!

We did this trip with Karl on 3-18. Excellent adventure for a first time into the everglades as we got so much info we wouldn't have known. Probably know more than the locals now. Lol.. Excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable and funny. Made us feel at home. On and off the bus with plenty of bathroom stops. No boring times at all. Two boat rides. Saw sea turtle, manatee, rays and dolphins in one boat ride! I saw that this tour got rave reviews all over the internet and have to agree it's the best. I also saw Mark gets rave reviews but I have to say I prefer Karl. He should get a raise. Guy obviously loves the everglades and loves to share that knowledge. He's also a great driver. If you are concerned about this trip being 9.5 hrs and have a health condition, I have a bad leg and have to potty a lot. That was a concern. however, as i said, plenty of potty stops. Can bring food and drink to have off the bus, plus you get a great lunch. Lots of stops. Not too hot or cold. If so, there's shade. Walk was less than a mile. So don't say no to this trip if you are concerned about all that. Perfect activity plus rest. I would take a kid, seniors and somewhat disabled on this trip. Went by too fast. Saw lots of wildlife. Go for it and bless you, Karl, from Dennis and I. - Nancy Schmit

The knowledge of our guide Jason was amazing. He was very personable and professional. Was able to answer questions about tour. He knew so much history about Florida with being a native.
Would recommend to anyone. We toured in wet season, will hopefully return for dry season. Different things to see.
His love of his job, his state, and nature were infectious.
Every activity was great. Boat captains and ancillary staff were amazing and very knowledgeable of their segment. Definitely was a full day.

Our tour guide was knowledgeable to the extent of knowing the genus and species of the plants and animals, as well as which were native and imported. He was vocal without being pushing about the responsibility of all of us to preserve our planet. Every person we met on the tour echoed that pleasant personality and care for our environment. As a retired military serviceman I have taken tours around the world and most pushed just the local focus without the global responsibility.
