My wife and I took a bio-luminescence tour earlier this week and had an absolutely fantastic time. I've never actually seen bio-luminescent organisms (despite having a degree in oceanography) and I am delighted to have finally filled that square. Our timing seems to have been

My daughter and I enjoyed a bioluminescent tour in a clear kayak last night. Our tour guides, Alyssa and Jared, made the experience an unforgettable one. They worked hard to find the best spot for seeing the comb jellies and plankton. It was honestly magical. It was an

Went with friends for the Bioluminescence kayaking at 1030pm. We had a blast! The guides were fun and knew a lot about the nature of the wildlife preserve. My partner and I were near guide Sebastian and he kept us informed on what was going on since we were in the back of the

I owned a travel agency for several years. Therefore, my comments are sincere whether pro or con and not really so much related to me personally but rather to the experience I believe my customers would have. If you're great, I'll say so. If not, I will also say so. Too much

Thanks for your review. We are required to have specific flashlights on all of our tours. They are necessary for safety and this is also a protocol mandated by our permit, which all kayaking companies in the area must also follow. We recommend that guests do not bring phones on the tour, as it's very difficult to photograph bioluminescence using a phone camera, but we do not prohibit it if they want to take photos of their paid experience. The length of our tours is stated on our website and is a typical length for a kayaking tour. If you had any questions or concerns about the length, our office is open every day and we are happy to help to find an alternative so you're still able to experience the bioluminescence, even if you're not comfortable being out for that length. All of our tours are made for beginners, but we will speak to our guides as we may need to tailor it more so. We do have a guest/guide ratio of 8 people per tour guide, and if guides were not following this ratio, please contact our office directly and let us know so we can look into it. Let us know if there's any questions we can answer or anything we can clarify. Thank you again.

First it was different kayaking at night. It was a perfect night our guide said and we were in between the season of both the plankton and jellyfish. That said the jellyfish are as big as your fingernail so don’t think big think tiny. They plankton sparkle like glitter every so

Hi Cindy, Thank you for your review. We are not sure why your group went out this way. Our guides know that they are to split up groups into smaller groups to make a better experience for everyone. All tours should be split up to 8 people per tour guide. This is something we will be discussing with them, as this is not typical and doesn't follow guidelines. Unfortunately, we can't control the bioluminescence. While the pictures show how it is when the bioluminescence is at it's best, some nights nature just doesn't cooperate with us and we're not able to see it at that same level. It can vary nightly. We do post updates daily on Twitter so that guests can have more of an idea of how the bioluminescence will look on their tour date.
