This is the second time I have taken trip with bargetrip.ie and I have loved both experiences. We took the Leinster Aqueduct 1 hour tour and it was great. Options for drinks, great information and a completely different experience from walking the canal are all great greats to book this tour.

What an amazing experience! We did the 2 hour trip and while the weather wasn't the best, it didn't dampen the experience!

It was a very relaxing hour on the canal. Des allowed us to just sit and absorb the quietness. When we got to the aqueduct he stopped and gave us the history which was very interesting. Would highly recommend it 👌.

I did the 1-hour Biodiversity Cruise with my daughter, we both enjoyed it very much. Our guide/skipper was brilliant and his enthusiasm for all the wildlife along the canal was just catching. It's a unique, relaxing and above all educative experience, which will make you appreciate every creature or a plant just a little bit more, no matter how tiny they might be!

Had a wonderful time on the Barge trip from Sallins , such an enjoyable way to engage with nature, beautiful scenery wild flowers, birds, fish and insects all pointed out by our wonderful skipper and his lovely helper. Will definitely be booking again.

The most informative and relaxing trip. Chris our guide was great, fountain of knowledge. There was loads of wildlife to see. Definitely would recommend it and I'm thinking of going again 😀

We had a fantastic time. Four generations of our family went on the short trip to leinster aqueduct. We saw lots of wildlife including insects, birds and fish and the surroundings were wonderful. Highly recommended .

This was my second time to go on the barge cruise and it certainly won’t be my last. The stretch of canal at Sallins is stunningly beautiful, and when you add in Chris’s remarkable knowledge of the biodiversity in the region and his obvious enthusiasm for the subject it makes for a wonderful hour away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Dragonflies, moths, butterflies, fish and even a buzzard. Chris pointed out a wild orchid just coming into bloom on the canal bank, a new and exciting experience for most of us. Highly recommended.

What a lovely way to spend an evening. We booked the barge for a private group. It was great to have it to ourselves. The skipper was lovely and friendly and gave us a history lesson as we made our way down the canal. He was happy to answer our many questions! There’s a bar on board with a nice selection of drinks that I’m sure has something for everyone. The 90 minutes went by so quickly and we were back in Sallins before we knew it. It was a lovely relaxing experience and I’d highly recommend it.

I booked the barge trip for my partners 50th birthday, He was never on a barge before but he had the best time. Chris that was in charge of the barge let my partner steer it and some other members of the family. Chris was a book of knowledge and a wicked sense of humor. Monika was lovely too and served the drinks on board. We are going to book again in the summer as it was a great experience. Thanks so much Chris and Monica.

Excellent trip , the skipper very knowledgeable and friendly, it was for a 60th birthday and Valentine’s Day trip, staff decorated the barge, nice and relaxing went for the 1 hr trip to the aqueduct, would recommend a longer trip to the locks, that’s the next trip .five star recommendation
