On our first trip to wine country, we were overwhelmed by all the vineyards to visit. Since we love biking and wanted to see Sonoma, we booked the full day group tour, but my husband and I were the only people. Our guide, Emily, was very knowledgable. She took us to a vineyard and explained the winemaking process and was not just reading off a script. We loved that the tour took us to one of the oldest in Sonoma, Buena Vista Winery, as well as o a small independent winemaker, located in a warehouse, The Tin Barn. This was one hidden gem and we even ended up joining the club. Both vineyards had terrific wine but the experiences were a nice juxtaposition. After 2 vineyard visits, Emily asked if we wanted to visit a vineyard or somewhere else. The olive oil shops were close, so we went to Vella Cheese, another hidden gem of Sonoma.

My husband and I enjoyed the scenery and our guide Emily was great--very knowledgeable about each stop. The bikes are fun and make the ride easy. For us the ride was just a little too long. Although we toured with a very nice bunch of people and enjoyed talking with them we found it to be very expensive for what you get considering we had to pay $15.00-27.00 per person per place to sample the wines.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience biking around Sonoma on this tour. We would highly recommend it. Phyllis was a great tour guide and full of knowledge and experience about the local Sonoma wineries. The bikes are fantastic as they have this super cool option to use "pedal assist" which is an automatic speed control which allows you to pedal with very little effort. We are very fit individuals and originally liked the idea of getting in some exercise during the tour but as soon as we got started and got some wine in us, the idea of working hard to pedal became a distant idea and we enjoyed keeping the back in pedal assist the entire trip. Who needs to exercise on a wine tour? Sit back and enjoy! The lunch was great, winery choices were awesome, and we enjoyed getting to know our fellow riders for a day. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the tour!

This bike was super awesome. I would totally do this tour again. Even tho I am a non-drinker, getting educated about wine and seeing the different venues was an educational experience.
Phyllis was our tour guide, and the second half of the tour was my boyfriend and I. She catered to our non drinking ways guided us to a in house cheese factory. Tasted their cheese and a unique coffee bar.
Definitely try out phyllis! She was a great tour guide.

Had a great time with Phyllis as a tour guide. Went to 3 wineries All different and the people were great. The scenic ride was very nice. One of our friends used a electric assist bike and had a fantastic time. She was concerned about keeping up but had no problem. The bikes were specialized - excellent bikes and route was very beautiful as relaxing. Highly recommend

When we signed up we chose the “pedal assist” electric bikes, they are fantastic. Made the 15+ mile a real, touring pleasure. Our tour guide Mike took us on lightly traveled roads that featured beautiful scenery as we visited 3 wineries.
The presentations at each were informative, with the opportunity to taste local varieties. The trip include a lunch from the restaurant “The Girl and the Fig”, delicious box lunch. Mike was pleasant, informative and seemed to enjoy the ride as much as we all did.
Recommend this tour, get the “pedal assist “ bikes, they are great.

We chose to do a small group bike/wine tour in Sonoma for a fun way to meet others, learn more about the area and wine! All of our goals were exceeded on this trip!! Our guide Phyllis was amazing! She was informative, fun, educational & energetic! Had a great time with the other two couples in our group. The wineries we visited (Homewood, Buena Vista & Passaggio) were all great but very unique! Great variety in selection! Was very glad to have done the full day bike tour which included a fabulous lunch catered by the Girl & the Fig restaurant in Sonoma! All of the details of the tour (including schedule, water, snacks, lunch, breaks, route, etc) were well planned out and impressive! Our guide even offered a brief stop at a local creamery (Vella Cheese Co.) for a cheese tasting which was a great surprise addition to the tour! Whether you are an avid cyclist or just a novice, this tour is a MUST DO on your trip to Sonoma!

The directions on the map were clear and easy to follow. A step by step listing of instructions was also available. The course difficulty and road conditions were correctly described. The roads in Sonoma county are much rougher than the roads in Napa county. The airless tires gave what I felt to be a hard ride, so I was really glad to have paid the $5 extra for the gel seat cover.
