This bicycle tour takes you through a protected wilderness zone running along the San Andreas Fault, to areas inaccessible by traditional tour vehicle. Along the way, you'll snap photos of the Salton Sea, Mt. San Jacinto, the All-American Canal, and the eastern Coachella Valley. The 20-mile (32-km), paved route is mostly downhill with no cross roads, no turns, and very little traffic, making this a fun and scenic adventure suitable for all ages.

What to Expect
See Palm Springs from a different perspective—on a leisurely downhill bicycling route that winds through several geological zones. The 20-mile (32-km) bike tour begins in the transition zone between the Colorado and Mojave deserts. Winding through the San Andreas Fault zone, you'll pass through Box Canyon's narrow rock walls, descending to the heart of grape country near Mecca.

The route descends a total of 1,200 feet (365 meters), and finishes with panoramic views of Mt. San Jacinto, the All-American Canal, the Salton Sea, and the eastern Coachella Valley. On the way back to town, stop at a date farm for date shakes and a restroom break.

Paved surfaces, virtually no traffic, no turns, and no cross roads make this an relaxed and enjoyable way to see Palm Springs. Your tour concludes back at your original departure point.

Relaxing, bautiful and fairly easy

We had a great experience on this tour. Our guide, Raul was nice and talkative and told us lots of tidbits of information about the area on the way to the starting point. Once we got there, we got on our bikes and drove straight...More

Amazing Bike Tour!

At 65, I was a little worried about the heat (110 by noon) , even though we started at 7 am. Also worried I wouldn't be able to keep up. It was fine on both counts -- the other people went up ahead but we...More

That is exactly how we want our guests to enjoy the tour...at their own pace and taking in the sights. Thank you so much for joining us and the kind words about Raul.

Absolutely wonderful and easy

We four seniors coasted, chatted, and stared in wonder on this easy 20 mile mostly coasting bike ride. Raul was our guide and support vehicle and he was exceptional. Highly recommend!!!!!

Thank you Stan! Yes, it is a very manageable tour. We really do consider it a sightseeing tour that just happens to be by bicycle. So proud of Raul too.

Here's my HONEST review - be prepared!

We booked this bike tour based on the many positive experiences but after our personal experience on 4/2/18, I feel it necessary to share with you the ACTUAL facts of this tour. 1. THIS IS NOT AN EASY RIDE! Don't be fooled by the name...More

Excellent details, thank you! - Yes, windy days make for a much different experience but the wind varies depending on the weather systems that come our way. There are calm days, headwind days and even tailwind days out there. - It is true that a...More
