Very good tour with some problems
The tour was very good. The mountains and Salinas Grandes were amazing. The driving and explanations were very good.

However, we encountered some issues with that company. On the booking, they requested that we confirm the tour, so we sent a message through TripAdvisor 3 days before the tour. As we didn't get any reply, the day before the tour, in the morning, we went to their office in Salta.

There, we learned that the part of the tour to San Antonio de los Cobres was cancelled because of some problem with the road. They never sent us any previous notice about that. The agent finally agreed to compensate us by giving a discount on a second tour to Cafayate that we booked with them, which was also interesting. By the way, the price of the tour on TripAdvisor is about twice as the average price for that tour offered by many agencies in the center of Salta.

Finally, we received a reply to our request through TripAdvisor in the late afternoon of that day. That reply didn't mention that the visit to San Antonio would be omitted and stressed that we should be ready by 7:00 AM the next morning to be picked up.

That morning, the minivan came very late, at about 8:00 AM. So the whole tour was delayed and we returned after 9:00 PM.

Considering what happened, I asked the company to give us a more precise pick-up time for the second tour on the next day, which they did. They gave us a 20 minutes interval and for the second tour the pick-up was exactly in the specified period.

We had a good day, a long one, but worth the time. Edu our tour guide was very professional, looked after everybody and gave us a lot of information. The Salt Flats were very impressive!!!!
Purnamarca is a nice town to walk around and look at the colored mountains. We loved this trip

Long but fun day
You get to see all the major Salta nature sites in one long trip, which is very helpful if you don't have too much time. Guide was nice and informative, and there are plenty of time for photos. Lunch is not included but it's cheap (~400 pesos for starter, main, dessert and drink) and fairly good.

Enjoyable, Long Day but it is Worth It
Oct 2019 • Couples
I really enjoyed the drive through the beautiful Andes and the visits to lovely towns and the I nteresting salt flats. It is easier to let someone else do the driving. The lunch was very good (paid independently at a group table). There was plenty of time at the stops and especially at the salt flats, though I wanted more time in lovely Purmamarca. To me, Purmamarca is worthy of a full day to soak up the beauty of the area. Of course that is impossible on this day trip.

While it is nice that you are usually picked up at your hotel or your vacation rental if you are fairly close to the 9 of July square, you spend an hour and a half picking up people. They say they pick up within a 45-minute timeframe, but it was an hour and a half. It’s better to know this more realistic timeframe so that you know you are not being forgotten. The day is long, but remember you did not have to drive in unfamiliar areas and some of that time on un-paved roads. Our friendly, positive and informative tour guide was Ava.

Great, but long!
Aug 2019
Really enjoyed the trip, and saw so much! The guide was great to take breaks and let us stretch our legs and see some sights. I found the tour guide very accommodating re speaking english after spanish, the poor guy repeated himself all day. I felt quite bus sick when up at high altitude, so if you're not a good passenger this long day in a mini bus might not be for you.

Excelent service!
They picked up us from hour hotel within the time they had told us. The guide was really kind with everyone as well as the driver. He explained exactly the same for both Spanish and English speakers. They gave us all the time we needed to take photos and took us to the best spots. Also note that the vehicle was brand new. Highly recommended.

A lot to see!

This is a long trip, you will travel more than 500 km and it is a whole day thing. You will see different landscape on your way, and little villages and small towns also. Be sure to bring cash for the trip since a few place accept credit card.

Beautiful scenery, great way to see the area, but long day!
Mar 2019 • Couples
It is a long day to be on a motor coach, but fairly comfortable seats. We left at 7:30 a.m. from our hotel, and drop off was 8:30 p.m. Many stops help to break up the drive. Our guide's English was just okay, he was friendly, but he could not give enough of an explanation of the sites to make it truly enjoyable, we would have given the tour 5 stars if our guide's english was better. Suggest you bring your own water/snacks, as it is an early start and though there are stops, you may not like what is available to purchase. The tour offers you the opportunity to see the beautiful scenery, mountains, colours of the landscape changes as you progress from lush green to desert to salt flats. Would definitely recommend this tour. It cost us $195 USD for three people.
