- D315LNderekb00Excellent guided tour with a great view of the AndesWe had a brilliant day trip to view Aconcagua. Our guide Federico was excellent and gave us lots of information about the area. To get so close to the Andes was a real bucket list item for me, an awesome day trip.
- josey23400Possibly the best winery tour I have experience worldwide with amazing lunchIf you are a wine lover this tour is a must, you will visit several great wineries and the tastings are included and in one the lunch with superb food will also be included and they do take care of all your possible allergies so imagine...you also visit a olive oil maker which is where you will eat
- Curiosity44042900Amazing experienceHad an amazing time! A must if you visit Mendoza. Our tour guide Federico incredibly knowledgabe. Danny our driver super pleasant and makes great soup!! Ask for them! Great time.
- O3267ZZdavidn00Journey to the AndesTour guide was exceptional! We would not have seen as much as we did without this tour! Highly recommend.
- Y3790UNanjav00An amazing rideThanks, by Alejandro it was a great ride. Nice "paths" and beautiful views. It was very nice that he spoke English. We also received other tips from him to do in Mendoza. Thanks also to Nico for the delicious food and Omar for bringing and collecting.
- Amber S00Get a leg up on seeing Mendoza!Santiago and his staff were amazing! Kind, knowledgeable, and clearly united with the land and animals. Provided great insider info on wine region and horseback riding methods and techniques. Other participants also wonderful to share the experience with, including the asado dinner after the ride. It was cloudy the day we rode, so no sunset, but well worth the views and better understanding of the region. Trip was well organized and timed. Bring layers, it gets cold when the sun goes down!
- victoria_king33300Incredible tourThank you so much to Federico for making our day a truly unforgettable experience! The team were so attentive and knowledgable, we learned so much about the history of each place and the mountain. Federico really knew the answer to every question we asked, you could tell he is genuinely passionate about what he does, and him sharing that passion with others is a lovely thing to witness. Aconcagua and the scenery leading to it was absolutely breathtaking, this is definitely worth doing if you are in Mendoza. Would 100% recommend!
- Maria L00An amazing day at Aconcagua parkThe tour was fantastic, the landscape amazing, gorgeous. Federico and Daniel were so friendly, organized every detail to ensure an amazing experience. Federico brought wine for our lunch picnic,. Full recommend!!
- Antonio R00Scenic Alta Montaña tour for all agesGreat full day tour across the Cordillera from Argentinian side. The stops along the way allow beautiful views of Potrerillos dam, Aconcagua and the Cordillera itself. The tour is mostly by bus/van, suitable to people of all ages! Do not expect much of the lunch close to Christ the Redeemer, plan for a good meal after getting back to Mendoza Maria, the guide, was great on the explanations, on history and geography of the region. Maria and the driver did a great job!
- Antonio R00Winery and olive oil tour In Maipu, near MendozaA convenient way to get to know some wineries (bodegas) in Maipu region, near Mendoza. 3 course lunch at Pan Y Oliva was really good. Olive oil tour and tasting breaks a bit of the bodega's marathon and allows to learn a bit more of this important product for the region's economy. Flor, the guide, and Gonzalo, the driver of the van were amazing!
- alexgD3455SM00Thoroughly recommendFlor (our guide) and Gonzo (our driver) hosted a fabulous day out. Lots of information and great wine tasting. The meal exceeded our expectations for tours of this kind and the olive oil tasting was a new experience. Would definitely recommend.
- knlnl00A must do while in MendozaDanny our driver and Frederico our guide made this day trip one to remember. Frederico was extremely knowledgeable about the history, vegetation and animals of the area. Ps he brings wine! 10/10
- dachamp5300Dream Day HikeIt’s always been a dream of mine to hike the Andes. The drive up the mountains was fantastic and the stops along the way were beautiful. Frederick and Danny were fantastic guides and very accommodating for us as English speakers.
- Alan P00City Tour of MendozaMy 80-year-old father, my sister & I had a wonderful 4-hour personal tour of Mendoza city! We loved Flor, our guide & Franco, our driver! My father had difficulty walking far yet Franco went to great efforts to ease this for my father. And Flor provided wonderful insight into the local history, culture and traditions of Mendoza. We toured the numerous parks and learned about the irrigation techniques passed down from the Inca and adapted by the Jesuits. Plus, we arrived on a day of celebration for the harvest, when the city was in a festive atmosphere. Fantastic tour!
- huwlewis2200Excellent day trip to Aconcagua 😊The Kahuak team were excellent throughout. They even looked after our bags whilst we were on the tour. Highly recommend this tour. Expertly guided by Frederico and driver Roberto. They made sure that we understood everything in Spanish as well as English, being very attentive throughout. We had a great experience and sure you will have too. One of the better day trips we have been on, without too much wasted time at gift shops and restaurants. All extras included apart from entry to Aconcagua provincial park, which has to be paid separately (Kahuak staff explain this very well too) Muchas gracias

This was the most stressful tour I’ve been on. We spent almost the entire day in a van. There were 5 stops in a 12 hour period, including lunch where there was only 1 option to eat at a chaotic buffet, and the stops at the most beautiful places were 15 minutes or less, and we literally only stopped at a faraway viewpoint to see Aconcagua from a distance for less than 10 minutes. The stops were only to “take pictures” then leave. I absolutely do not recommend this tour, unless you enjoy sitting and stressing out all day long. We also booked the tour in English as it’s our first language (even though we speak Spanish as well), and the guide talked only in Spanish for the entire day. Also, it was extremely hard to hear the guide as the microphone didn’t work hardly at all and the AC was blaring in the van. Find another way to explore the majestic Andes in Mendoza.

This was a great trip in every way. The scenery was stunning along the route. Our guide Marcos was knowledgeable and friendly, and spoke English very well. We enjoyed each stop, with the short hike at Aconcagua as the highlight. How can you be a beautful car ride from the highest peak in the Americas and not go take a look? The Puente del Inca is a natural bridge over a hot spring that was far better to see in person than I had expected from the pictures. It was fascinating.
We did the private trip. We saw their bus trip at a couple of stops and that looked good too, but with the weak peso right now, the convenience of the private trip was an easy and affordable choice.

I took this tour with my husband and mother-in-law. We all had the most amazing time. Our tour guide, Estoban and driver Marcella were excellent. Estoban’s knowledge of the history of the Andes and Argentina in general was just fascinating. His enthusiasm gives you chill bumps. We had several nice stops along the way and were given ample time at each place. He welcomed questions and answered each one in great detail. He did the tour in English and Spanish which was nice. He was so helpful and made sure everyone was safe and enjoyed themselves. . I highly recommend this tour!

Just…WOW!!!! Amazing views and landscape! Everything about the day was excellent. Just can’t get over how beautiful these lands and mountains are. The photos ops are incredible!! Definitely bring a sweatshirt though at least. When you get to the top of the mountain w/ Chile & Argentina it’s windy and definitely a bit cold. Lunch was good too. I would do this tour again 100% the views are that wonderful ❤️❤️🤘🤘🤗🤗

Absolutely cool experience. I like to explore on my own, I did not feel like renting a car when I was in Mendoza. There is a lot to see, even though you don't get to stay for extended times due to the amount of distance covered.

We were looking forward to this tour from Mendoza, but it was pretty disappointing overall.
Pickup- We were told they start pick-ups at 7:30 in the city center. They arrived at our hotel at 8:05. We were a little concerned, but the hotel told us this is the normal time, so we weren't too worried. Overall pickup was fine, but could have been improved by a more exact time to pick-up at. We were the last to be picked up, so got to avoid driving all around town.
Andes mountains- I have seen a lot of the Andes from Patagonia to Ecuador, and this is probably the most boring stretch I have seen- at least during December when there is very little snow. Obviously the tour company doesn't control this, but I wouldn't recommend doing an Andes tour from Mendoza at all, at least this time of year.
Tour route- The tour drives from Mendoza for about 1.5 hours. It stops at a mini-market in Uspallata where you wait 15-20 minutes for folks to use the bathroom and buy coffee. Then it goes to a reservoir created by a dam, and stops for pictures for 15 minutes. It is an ok spot, but not great. Then the tour continues to the saddest ski resort I have ever seen- sad ugly buildings with nothing open. We stopped for 20 minutes, long enough to get bored, but not long enough to take the ski lift to the top (extra money). Then we stopped at Puente del Inca, which is a nice natural spring, worth a 5-10 minute stop. We spent 30 minutes there as our guide encouraged us to buy the junk all the vendors were selling. Then we continued to Aconcagua- where we never actually entered the park! We had a 5 minute stop along the side of the rode to take picture from a very very far distance away. To compound the problem, we were joined by 6 other tour groups so the spot was jammed with people and you could get a good picture. Last was our lunch stop close to the Chilean border, where the food was edible but overpriced with no other option as is typical on this type of tour. Then we turned around and drove 3 hours back to Mendoza. There was too much waiting and we didn't feel like we saw anything.
Guide- Our guide was terrible. The tour was a mixed group with Spanish, English, and Portuguese speakers. And our guide had to do both English and Spanish. We were the only English speakers on the tour and so the guide catered to the rest of the group more. Bilingual tours are really difficult to manage to begin with, but our guide did a particularly poor job. I understand Spanish fairly well, but my husband does not, and was fairly frustrated. The guide would point things out in Spanish, and by the time he would point them out in English, we were long past the view of whatever object. The guide was also fairly difficult to understand in English. To make matters worse, when we did understand the guide, he had no interesting information to share. He would literally share things like "Over there is a hotel" with no context, story, or info. And half of the trip he read a newspaper and didn't actually guide us at all.
Booking the tour, I expected some of the group tour annoyances like lots of bathroom breaks and bad food. But I thought we'd be rewarded by good views and interesting information. If I was doing the trip over again, I'd just book the bus from Santiago, instead of flying like we did, and skip the Andes tour. It goes the same route through Argentina and is a lot cheaper.

Hello Sarah,
We appreciate your time and your comment about the tour to the Andes.
I would like to answer you carefully and in detail, so I will follow your script ...
Pick up - If you have done a group tour before, you know that picking up each passenger at their respective hotels takes time. Today we contemplate about 45 minutes after the departure time. We work hard on this, and we believe it is better to wait in the lobby hotel, rather than having to move to a starting point, especially in these activities that start very early.
The Andes Range- As you says, the scenery and the weather conditions, exceeds us.
Tour Rout- I think that much of your comment remains a personal appreciation of the content of each stop. Of course we accept it and we will work to improve what can be said or done in each stop
As for the Aconcagua Park and the crowd, I would like to take this opportunity to share with other readers that we offer other options to enter the Park. Due to time constraints in Alta Montaña tour, is not possible to enter to the park. I invite you to see the different options on our website kahuak.com.ar. As well as if you don’t want to share the tour with other people, we offer privet tours
Guide- We apologize in the name of the guide and kahuak. Although this activity is not carried out by Kahuak, we will report your comment to the agency so they can review the situation and improve their service
Best,

This tour was a highlight of our trip passing through Mendoza. The scenery was fantastic and the food at the restaurant in the mountains was better than I expected (a plus). Seeing the Inca bridge up close was amazing but that’s pretty much it. The guide did speak English but as I spoke Spanish I could easily tell the tour was one sided with lengthy, in-depth descriptions in Spanish and somewhat overview descriptions in English. My wife felt cheated and I ended up filling in the gaps.
This trip would have been a 5 if the effort was taken to ensure the ‘tour’ was equal for all by the tour guide directly.

I booked this tour with Kahuak through Viator. I clearly asked for an English tour. The tour guide that showed up on our doorstep did not speak or understand a word of English. After 1.5 hours in a bumpy van with a guide speaking nonstop into a microphone in Spanish we asked to be let off in the Andes so we could take a taxi back to our hotel. At that point the guide asked us to wait. Half an hour later another van pulled up - this one allegedly containing a guide that spoke English. This guide was extremely rude and clearly didn't want us on her tour. She told us we had made "everyone wait just for you" and delayed the original tour we were on because we refused to go along with it. She then moved people from the back of her van to the front, forcing me and my parents (both aged 70) to sit right at the back. She spoke mostly in Spanish and very occasionally in broken English - it was very hard to understand her. The views were great but most of the day is spent in the van so if you don't have a good guide (we did not) you can have an unpleasant experience.
I would definitely recommend a trip up to the Andes but would not use Kahuak if you want an English tour.

First of all, we would like to apologize for this situation
Indeed, It was our mistake when booking this tour for you with our partner agency. The tour you took, wasn´t carried out by Kahuak, as we make sure to clarify in all our selling platforms, some of the activities are outsourcing.
We greatly appreciate your comment as we continue working to give our passengers the best experience.
We tried to solve the situation in the best possible way, unfortunately is was not enough to make your day better. We would have loved to hear about your displeasure during your stay in Mendoza, perhaps we could have made it up for you and your parents.
If you ever return to Mendoza, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Me and my friend booked this and thought we only would experience everything from a distance, even though we saw the pictures from other peoples experiences. But we got way more than we payed for, a good guide, an amazing experience and can't describe how breathtaking the views and environment was. A definitely must in Mendoza!
