Fantastic crew! Knowledgeable and friendly and committed! We had a great time, it was magical. I love the compassion for conservation.

Such a cool experience, very knowledgeable and friendly crew, safe and informative excursion where we were lucky enough to see whales, bears and otters and bald eagles. We are not likely to forget our experience any time soon.

Although it was a terribly rainy and bone chilling day, the staff made this trip fun! It’s exciting to see the Mendenhall glacier and nugget falls. Once that part of the trip was over, we were picked up and taken to the dock for the whale watching portion of the trip. Staff was extremely knowledgeable and safe. Saw lots of whales. The driver back to our cruise ship was also knowledgeable of the area and had us laughing as well. I would definitely recommend this excursion!

This trip had it all: views, whales, waterfall, hiking and the MOST fun. Chris, Carrie and Kip proved to be the ultimate trio. The glorious sunny weather provided the perfect backdrop for our once-in-a-lifetime excursion!!! Our driver Troy also contributed his great storytelling skills (and careful navigation) along the way. We highly recommend this tour. Our bus driver was knowledgeable and trustworthy. Mendenhall Glacier was a spectacular site. The Whale Watching tour was excellent; Larry, Charlie and especially Steph were so passionate about their interest in whales and very excited about sharing them with us. We saw dozens of whales and it was amazing.

Our party of 8 adults booked this tour instead of the more expensive cruise options. It was perfect! The group size wasn't huge, the boat was super nice, and the staff was amazing. Brian, our bus driver was very informative, interactive and funny. Taylor was so informative and passionate and told us everything about the whales we saw. We had just enough time at the glacier and the boat captain took us to 2 locations and there were multiple whales both times.

Brand new ship, Taylor is a passionate naturalist who did a great job, this is our 2nd time with Alaska Tales. Worth every dollar both times!

Justin, Sophie and Charlie took us on a fantastic adventure to see whales in Juneau, Alaska! Our group enjoyed the trip and saw many whales and bald eagles. I loved that the crew new most of the whales by names. Once we were inside they passed around a book of the whales that frequent the area. Very fun trip

We had a great time. We loved exploring Mendenhall Glacier. We had just enough time to go through the visitors center and hike Nugget Trail, take pictures and hike back. We loved the whale watching also. We saw a big humpback and a small pod of Orca. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time!

It was a wonderful, exhilirating day, even if it rained the whole time. The tour operator rep was very professional and funny. Loved the Mendenhall portion (great talk from the young park ranger) but the best was definitly the whale watching. We had the best crew and, maybe because of the rain, we saw not just one but two whales breach! Highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our Alaska trip. Our guides knew all of the right places to navigate our boat to see numerous hump back whales. Then we took a bus to see the Mendenhall Glacier. I have seen many other glaciers before, but this one was very impressive because you were on a much more even and closer level. Just beautiful! I highly recommend this excursion.

Had a wonderful time. We started with a tour of Mendenhall. Randy, our driver was informative and enjoyable. Everything we read online prior said it would take 45 each way to walk to Nugget falls. Randy said you can make it round trip in less than an hour. Nugget falls was awesome to see. So glad Randy gave us good information. On the whale watching we had the greatest crew. Sofie was extremely knowledgeable. You can tell she is passionate about whales. We saw many whales. Kelp out on a special show for us. He showed us his head and tail several times. Thanks to all involved.

This trip was Amazing. The Glacier Hike/Trail was awesome. Rand was a great Bus Operator, very witty and good history. The Whale Watching was mind blowing and beautiful scenery. Saw over 12 whales, and 4 complete out of water breeches. Captain James, with Kristen/Sophie did an incredible job of educating us and helping our focus on what and WHERE to look at. Highly recommend them all.

Had a great experience with Doug as our tour guide. He gave us photo advise on the Mendenhall hike and pointed out different flora/fauna inroute plus salmon streams. Doug was very knowledgeable on the whale watch. Showed us how they identify each whale. Derek was our boat captain, who took us out to see lots of whales. Had a great time with them both. Great memories
