Great fun in the sun

The boat was definitely outdated so it's not like the pictures. But it's was definitely an entertaining and relaxing experience. The crew was great, especially Jose and Dario who were both very attentive to the guests. If you want to relax and just have fun, I'd recommend this tour. Just know that the boat itself is not pretty. But then you're there for the fun.

Must Do !!
This was one of the best excursions we did the entire time in Costa Rica. The captain and his crew were extremely friendly and very funny. With great music, dancing, singing, and great food and drinks this is one you have to do !!

A fun group of people

The trip was great for us, as we had a really fun group of people!

There were 32 people on the day we went, and there was no problem getting a seat in the shade(or sun) if you wanted it.The drinks started from the moment we got on the boat, and continued throughout. (not strong, but decent).

We sailed up the coast, and then anchored. People either swam, snorkeled or floated in the water. After that we had a late lunch of soft tacos, watermelon and pineapple and banana bread. We had music playing, people were dancing, just enjoying themselves. And we did return to a beautiful sunset!

I did hear that there were issues with the toilet, but I did not experience myself...

Relaxing day on the ocean!

Our group of 5 had a great time on this excursion. The crew was exellent and always making sure we had what we wanted. The lunch was very good and we enjoyed the drinks as well. The boat was pretty full, but was very organized. We took a swim in the cove and enjoyed the sights up the coast. I think that many of the reviews the scored this lower didn't understand that this was a boat ride to relax.

Toilet didn’t work
The photos of the catamaran on Facebook are definitely outdated. They make it look relaxing, but from what I experienced it was packed. They were supposed to have a maximum of 35 people on board. But by my count we had over a little over 40 guests aboard. The drinks keep flowing the whole time. Which is needed for being packed on a smaller boat with that many people. The toilet area was spacious but not in good working condition. We were told by the owner before we got on no toilet paper in the toilet which is Pretty standard in the area, but when we got on board the captain said no number 2’s. There was no way to flush either, which as you can imagine with a group this size drinking, fills the bowl up quick. We did see some sea turtles which was cool but definitely not worth all the other stuff we had to go through. The “lunch” was served at like 4pm, and the set up was a mess. A foldable camping table with everyone trying to get as much food as fast as they could. They used glass plates and as you can imagine someone trying to eat standing up dropped one. I didn’t book the excursion, but if I had I would have gone with a different option. Perfect for younger people who don’t care about comfort and want to get the most bang for their buck.

Great tour with a great team
We had a beautiful day on the catamaran with the blue dolphin team. We were met by a welcome cocktail as soon as we got onboard. From the moment we got on the catamaran the crew was attentive to all our needs. I’ve done many tours of this type and I must say this is the best service I’ve ever had.

The best catamaran cruise and views

We had the BEST TIME with the Blue Dolphin sailing adventure! The staff was friendly, funny and attentive. Fermin was a great captain and struck a great balance of fun and safety - which is important on a booze cruise. The pickup area was perfect for a pre-cruise snack and going out for drinks after. Would highly recommend to any age group!

Fun, chill, beautiful

A great, easygoing trip with gorgeous sunset views and fun activities. The captain and crew were great hosts and sailors. We did a little sailing and motored up the coast to a secluded area that was great for snorkeling, swimming and paddle boarding. Current was moderate and so was the wind, so I would not recommend for weak swimmers. We saw a whale, sea turtle and sting rays! Shuttle boats take you from the shore to the catamaran and back, there was plenty of space on the boat and a catamaran is a great way to sail if you are not used to the tacks of a traditional sailboat.

Nice booze cruise and boat day to private island, whale spotting and great lunch

This was nice as a young, solo female traveler. Definitely a booze cruise with drinks included and loud music. Other boats seemed to have a more crowded boat with large groups of middle aged to elderly people. My boat had 15 people max and everyone was pretty young. We were welcomed with a drink after boarding a dingy from the beach to get to the boat on the water. It’s a little confusing because lots of boats are leaving at the same time from the same spot, but they have a list and so no one is going to get left behind. The crew was really nice and on the way out to the island, we saw whales!! All the boats go to a private island where you have time to swim and explore it. The lunch they served was really good. The only thing I would’ve done differently is stayed on the boat longer for about 30 minutes more watching the sky change colors instead of disembarking immediately after the sun went down. I also would’ve liked when the whales were spotted, for the music to be turned down and the staff to have made an announcement otherwise I would’ve missed it if I didn’t hear my fellow passengers say something and that’s the best part. The boat is smaller than some of the other catamarans but I preferred that to being really crowded on a bigger boat. Glad I booked this!
