          Impressive watterfalls to bath in
Super fun activity even in off-season. Challenging paths where you need good foot work but amazing reward and nice tour guide.

Hot Springs & Water Fall Adventure
We were very happy with Hector and Miguel. They picked us up in a jeep and we were on our way up the mountain to the waterfall and hot springs. Great day and the weather was great. I highly recommend this adventure.

I loved watching the sunset! This is a great tour if you want to connect with nature and relax for a bit. I enjoyed going through the mangroves and Hector’s company. He is such a funny and kind person.

Worth the Effort - great guides
Picked up by Hector and Gisselle . Both me and my wife are not experienced hikers in our 60s . Did the three hidden waterfalls . Very hard agree 10/10 . Wet and slippery. Worth the effort . Both Hector and Gisselle were very patient supportive and kind and brought food and water . We took 4 1/2 hrs total from pick up to drop off .

          Great tour with great guides
My friends and I did the Kayaking tour in early March and it was fantastic. We ere picked up and dropped off at our hotel by our guides, Héctor and Raúl. There were 3 of us, so two went in one kayak and the third went in a second one along Raúl. Raúl was very kind and knowledgeable about what was going on. Speaking both Spanish and English, he was able to communicate with our entire group. We kayaked for about 4 hours and got to watch a beautiful sunset. All in all, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Chiriqui!

          Beautiful Kayak-Sunset-Tour
It was a perfect trip! A great three hours tour through the Mangroves, along beautiful tropical trees, big birds and a funny experience in the Bahía de los Muertos. The Highlight at the end was an amazing sunset while sitting in the kayak. We were picked up by the guide Hector directly from the hostel at 2.30 pm and returned at 8.30 pm. He was very friendly and helpful. It was a private tour just for us. Any experiences in kayaking are not required. It was a amazing adventure which we recommend!

          Quetzales Trail challenge!
I live in Boquete and am an active hiker on all the trails here. The Quetzales Trail has so many possibilities for every standard of hiker! From Boquete to Cerro Punta it is 7Km hike in length but a 910m ascent :) From the start of the Trail, the first 3-4Km is steadily rising along a very pretty jungle trail and if your standard is basic you can choose to turn back before you hit the next stage. The change from the ambling first section is ‘200’ steps pretty much vertical up the mountain to the seating area you see in the photographs, again this is a stage from which you can decide to return. If you decide to continue to Cerro Punta you face further stairs and steep ascent but this effort is rewarded by wonderful views from several viewing points. When you reach Cerro Punta Rangers Hut there is a seating area to relax and picnic and the views from there are stunning. After a rest from your ascent you can then return back down to Boquete. It is possible to be picked up from Cerro Punta, equally you can be taken to Cerro Punta and then just do the descent. While this is possible it is nearly 2 hours from Boquete by road and taxis drop you short from the start so you face a steep ascent anyway unless your carrier takes you right to the rangers hut. From/to the Boquete Rangers’ Hut there is a steep descent/ascent appropriately named ‘Los Lamentos’ so ascending to the Hut from the Cerro Punta direction you always have that as your final challenge. For fitness fiends this trail is such a great challenge in so many ways. There and back in the same day is great fun, beautiful and a fantastic challenge depending on your pace. Cards on the table, I did Boquete to Cerro in 2 hours and 15 minutes and 1 hour and 30 minutes coming back, not bad for 60 :) but you younger people will beat that surely ;) I’m not a ‘birder’ but no review could be complete without mentioning the huge number of bird species that adorn this wonderful trail, not least the often illusive and beautiful Quetzal. Of course you are more likely to see these if you walk and loiter at a birder pace rather than the fitness hiker. So in summary this is yet another wonderful and rewarding trail in Boquete. There and back in a day is a fantastic way to spend a day for keen hikers.

This was a great adventure. I’m an experienced hiker, and this was a long day. Over four hours up, and three down. But WORTH it. I was lucky to be with Hector solo for the day. He was knowledgeable, and fun to hang with for 7 hours. Bring water. I needed 2.5 liters. I also ate 5 sandwiches and some snacks (but I also weigh 240 lbs). You are walking up and down a road all day, with a 5-10 min class 2/3 scramble at the very end. Views from the top are insane. Both oceans and Costa Rica. Oh, and hector carried a coffee thermos to the top!!! Thanks hector for a great day.

Waouh! What an outing, what memories! Thanks to Melissa our outstanding driver, because the 4x4 route to climb, is worth the detour alone.
And once up there, what a spectacle! and icing on the cake, breakfast is great.
        Thank you.
