Enjoy a whitewater rafting day of adventure after meeting at the office at 9am to get properly prepared and briefed. The brief safety demonstration will highlight proper paddling techniques, review guide commands such as "forward" "back" and "stop," and give tips of how best to stay in the raft The journey through the jungle will start with some excellent high-volume first rapids to get the heart racing. The day will pause around noon for a buffet lunch riverside when the guides will cut up fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as provide assemble-your-own sandwiches with the best local ingredients. All personal dietary restrictions can be easily accommodated. Once the fresh food has settled and break time is finished, you will load back into the rafts to continue the day's excitement. At approximately 2pm, after around 8.5 miles (14 km) the trip will finish up at the take-out with beers and sodas to the guides. Your vehicle will be waiting to return you to Boquete around 3:30pm.

This company does not care about their clients.
Unfortunately, I did not actually go on the Volcan Baru Jeep trip scheduled because a member of our group had a death in the family, and we cancelled the trip five days ahead. I just received notice that, despite this early cancellation, there would be no refund. I do think five days notice is more than enough time to warrant a full refund, or, at the least, a booking fee charge deducted and then a refund from the $100+ pre-paid reservation. I certainly will not book again with them for anything! Accordiing to an email that I received today, cancellatioin must be more than seven days ahead. I notified them on March 12 for a March 17 reservation. Today is March 19. I had to write them twice in order to get a response. I do not recommend a company that is so unresponsive with their clients, especially considering the circumstances that made cancellation necessary.

      Great Introduction to Boquete's Forest
This was a great way to experience the forest. Jaimie was very knowledgeable and extraordinarily adept at spotting creatures for us to see. He brought equipment so that we could see birds and sloths from afar end even take photos of them through the lens. Nice introduction to Boquete. He also took photos and uploaded them to a website so that we could just focus on what we were seeing.

      Great Company to Work With
We did three tours with Boquete Outdoor Adventures. The employees were thoroughly professional and well informed. Jaime was our guide on the Pipeline Trail and to the Lost Waterfalls. The man has a wealth of information about the flora and fauna of the region, along with the ability to walk on a trail while looking in the treetops without falling down. My significant other and I agreed that we wouldn't have seen a tenth of what there was to observe without Jaime there to locate and point out wildlife and plants. Pipeline Trail: Easy. Wildlife. Old-growth trees. Very busy. Lost Waterfalls: Moderate. Lots of stairs. Some steep climbs. Muddy. Moderately busy. Three waterfalls. Our third tour was the Island Tour, which took us to a national park in the Gulf of Chiriquí. Ed was our guide that day. We enjoyed the boat ride with Ed pointing out sights along the way, including howler monkeys. Then there was swimming, snorkeling, and paddle boarding from a beach, as well as a lunch featuring, among other things, an array of delicious fresh fruits. A guide can make or break your tour. Jaime and Ed did an awesome job.

      Great nature hike
Our guide Jaime is clearly in love with nature, the area of Boquete, and his role as an ambassador of nature. And it shows from his enthusiastic description of the locations, plants and animals. We did not get to see a quetzal in a close-up view, but one was flying overhead. From the lucky days when Jaime captured even more beautiful views than presented themselves to us today, he saved them on his phone and makes them available for download. Very nice experience! In addition to Jaime, the other staff in the Boquete Outdoors Adventures office is also very nice, for example Lily.

      Island Visit/ Snorkeling Muy Tranquilo!
A great, relaxing excursion. A 20 minute boat ride with Eduardo to a sandy beach with adjacent reef. Snorkel, hang out in a hammock or take a swim. Fantastic lunch. We snorkeled and saw pufferfish, a tiger snake eel and a sea turtle, along with an array of beautiful, colorful fish.

      Slow day for the wildlife.
The guide did a good job of pointing out interesting things and it was good exercise. It seemed a bit slow day for the wildlife, but none of that is ever guaranteed, and not the fault of the guide.

      Great guide and tour!
Great experience! We learned a lot of the biodiversity and saw things we would definately have missed if we were without a guide. The guide was super enthusiastic and could answer all our questions. Would recommend if you want to do a hike at a different way then just walk the trail :)

Great tour when you visit Boquete
Great tour. Our guide Ed did a great job, he explained very much about the cloud forest and the ecosystem. We also saw lots of birds and even a sloth. The hiking isn’t hard so it’s highly recommended to do this tour if you’re interested in nature. Thanks for a great day!

      Very bumpy ride worth it
We did the 4x4 Volcan Baru sunrise tour. It was beautiful. The ride is bumpy as everyone says. We are used to 4x4, country driving, and Pink Jeep. This was far bumpier than anything we had experienced. Not bad. Very technical. David was our driver and we felt safe the entire time. One of us is scared of heights and hates driving up mountains. This is tress and rock on both sides. Felt a lot safer than hanging off the side of a Colorado or Nevada mountain going 50mph. David drove slow, explained things as we went up, had a great playlist, and has good English. At the top it was raining and cloudy at first. David gave us jackets, gloves, and blankets. We walked to the top, then down for breakfast, then all chose to go back to the top once the clouds cleared after breakfast. David made us a breakfast of pastry, cheese, strawberries, corn cake, candy, and hot chocolate and coffee. Pick the hot chocolate with marshmallows. David had great playlists of classic rock on the way up and chill music on the way down. Best part of the day was the way David helped people. We saw workers walking up. David stopped to carry their bags up. We saw tired hikers at the top. David rearranged the truck to fit them in on the way down. His pure, loving heart showed and was as beautiful as the view at the top. Thanks for a great day.

The most AMAZING experience…not to be missed!
The MOST amazing part of our trip to Boquete! From the moment we got into the van, to the narrated drive, boat trip to the island and our 4 hour island stay the memories just kept on being made! Our guide was excellent and he and the boat captain worked hard and found whales AND dolphins! Guide also set up a beautiful lunch, had all the gear (noodles, paddle board etc) pointed out the wildlife, and overall just made sure we all had the best of times! Highly recommend this trip!!!!

      Amazing Pipeline trail
It was an amazing hike on the Pipeline Trail in Boquete with my fiancé and another couple, and I can’t recommend it enough! Even though it rained a bit, our guide kept the experience lively and engaging. He shared the names of trees, plants, and birds, making the whole forest come alive with fascinating stories. The lush greenery and the sound of the rain created such a magical atmosphere. Every turn brought new sights and surprises, from vibrant flowers to the incredible variety of wildlife. It felt like we were walking through a real-life postcard! If you’re in Boquete, definitely put the Pipeline Trail on your list! It's an unforgettable way to connect with nature.

Have a spectacular tour with Boquete Outdoor Adventures. We did!
Ed was our guide and provided us a thoroughly delightful day of whale watching, beach relaxing, snorkeling and tropical lunch. He is a true professional and always provided us details on what we were seeing and explained the whale activities and got us some awesome closeup photos! We highly recommend him and his company. The entire day was well organized, energetically presented and fun from start to finish.

It was my first time whitewater rafting and I wasn't sure what to expect. The tour meeting location was on time (I joined from David) and upon getting to the location the team promptly got us all set up with gear and briefed us. Special shout out to Tiny Tinnie the guide on my raft, he was calm, very communicative to bring the whole group together, pointed out wildlife as we passed them, and made me feel really safe. If you are new to rafting, would recommend requesting Tiny as your guide. It was so much fun, we were able to float down the river on some calm parts of the trip, and falling out of the raft into the water at one point actually was the highlight of my experience. Thoroughly enjoyed my time, and the links to the trip photos kindly taken by other guides was shared by Nicole at the office after the tour.

This was a really great excursion. My mom and I went, and this was her first time white water rafting, but it was my third. The guides were very informative and helpful, and the rapids were exhilarating. The water was refreshing and the lunch picnic was great. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in trying out white water rafting.

We used this group for a 4x4 drive close to the summit of Vulcan Baru when we were in Boquette and had a wonderful time. We were picked up at our hotel very, very early (3 am) and the drive to an area just below the summit was long and very, very bumpy. Our driver and guide were wonderful though and very experienced. We then hiked a short distance to the summit (some in our group elected to watch the sunrise from the parking area - also beautiful). The views were amazing and worth the incredibly early start. I recommend doing this while you are in Boquette.

This was the highlight of my family's trip to Boquete! It was a fantastic experience. My son (12), my daughter (6), my husband, and I were given a detailed orientation before entering the raft. The guide also reviewed and improved our paddling techniques and did a drill run of what to do in any emergency.

I was thrilled with how professional this was. My children enjoyed it and they also took pictures and videos for us to be able to remember the experience. Yes, my six-year-old was also participating in the paddling under the guidance of our guide. Our guides for both parties, our family in one raft and two other tourists in another raft prepared such a wonderful picnic which we took on a small river island.

They were knowledgeable about the names of the rapids, the history of the area, and the wildlife we encountered. They were gracious and fun.

We plan on making this an annual trip and the rafting adventure 'Our family thing." We made new friends with the other party and the guides. I can't praise this enough.

This was my husband’s first whitewater rafting experience and I really wanted it to be great, but it wasn’t. The staff at the takeoff point did not explain how to properly adjust helmets or vests, and many people could have been injured had anything bad happened. The equipment is old. One of the rafts had to continually reinflated. Our raft didn’t have valve covers on the front exterior ports which posed a real hazard as they are very sharp. Our guide was Tiny, and he was far more concerned with taking photos of the other rafts than with piloting ours. We went through most of the rapids sideways, backwards or spinning. I asked him if we could try going through with the raft pointed straight ahead and four of the other guests said, “yes, please.” But at the next set of rapids, he went in at an angle that flipped my husband out of the raft. Because we were frequently the lead raft (photos, of course) we could see that the other three rafts were all traversing the rapids bow first and no one was going overboard. Finally, at the last set of rapids, Tiny tried to tip all of the passengers on the left side into the water. The guide on the raft behind us did the same thing and all four of his passengers went into the river. The drive to the river is closer to two hours; long stretches of the river are not that scenic. Better rafting on lots of other rivers around the world.

Great fun for the kids. The guides were fun, and helpful, and very skilled. I saw one guy haul two big adults out of the water simultaneously. The rapids were really mild and not terribly exciting for adults. However it was the end of the dry season, and Panama was experiencing a drought. So perhaps your trip may be wilder.
    Lots of beautiful birds.

Tips: it is over an hour bus ride from Boquete. So if you are in David, sign up and save some driving time.
Our valuables were safe on the bus while we rafted. We were told to bring clothes to change into. There was nowhere private to change. No bathrooms before or at the end of the trip. However that did not stop any of us from having a fabulous time.

Boquete Outdoor Adventures took us white water rafting and gave us such a fun time. They made the transport easy, picking us up at the mall in David and dropping us off in Boquete at the end. My siblings, girlfriend, and I had a particularly unusual experience because our boat tipped in the first rapid. I was really impressed with the speed and urgency with which the team responded and we were all fished out of the river safely. We ended up having a great time. Would highly recommend!

One of THE BEST rafting trips I have ever been on. Knowiedgeable guide (Chebo) pointed out things along the way (saw squirrel monkeys twice and a boa hanging out in a tree, plus lots of birds). The rafting was challenging but in a good way. There was never too much time of having to paddle to the next rapids. Great lunch. Highly recommend. Love that they take pictures and you can retrieve them for free.
