Relaxing and exciting!
Sep 2021 • Friends
Chose a private boat for the tour with friends. Azri was our guide for the day. He told us many interesting stories about the legends associated with Langkawi, the stories about hornbills, mangroves, monkeys etc. We got to watch the brahminy kite and white bellied eagles in action too!
We were lucky there were no tour boats around ours at the time at Kilim sign, so we got the chance to take many beautiful pictures and flew the drone to take a video of the area.
The monkeys at the Gua Kelawar were not scared of people at all, were brazen enough to snatch our kuih right from our hands. Keep your food in your bag before docking at this area if you don’t want your food to get stolen by the monkeys.
Totally recommend this tour not to be missed!

Relaxing Tour of Langkawi Mangroves
Really great and relaxing boat ride through the mangroves of Langkawi. We were able to see the Langkawi eagles, bats and fishes. We even had some monkeys made friends with us. Azri our tour guide was full of information and made the tour not only a visual experience but also one of gaining new knowledge.

There are also some great insta worthy locations to take pictures along the tour.

My family and I did the half day island-hopping tour. Our guide, Mr Hermi, was so knowledgeable about everything we came across-the wildlife and plants, the rock formations etc-which made the experience informative, as well as fun!

Memorable Tour with fabulous guide, Francis
Our half day tour of UNESCO Geo Park on a boat was an amazing experience thanks to the beautiful scenery, fabulous animals & character & knowledge of our guide, Francis. As we cruised through the mangroves Francis explained the history of the area. We stopped to see the mud crabs & monkeys, we were able to watch the Brahmins Kites & White Bellied Eagles dive down to catch fish. As Francis explained about the mangroves we were lucky enough to see a sleeping Mangrove Pit Viper & an amazing blue Kingfisher. The scenery is stunning. Francis had very good English & he was was able to answer all our questions. He gave us water & samosa & kept us entertained. This is a very natural tour with no gimmicks, they just want to show off their amazing country & educate us on the mangroves. A very memorable tour.

A tour is often as good as its guide ...
A great trip in a boat with outboard engine through the mangroves and karst region of Langkawi with Junglewalla and Francis as our guide. It looked to me as though most of the boats do similar tours - mud crabs, long tailed macaques, karst scenery, Brahminy Kites and White Bellied Sea Eagles, caves, bats, fish and other wildlife. You may see the Mangrove Pit Viper or a collared kingfisher ... the keys to any tour are local knowledge, good presentation skills, and in my case good English. Francis is a good story teller with a great command of English, and excellent local knowledge, not just of Langkawi, but of Malaysia in general. There were ten in our tour and he was attentive, aware of his multilingual audience, of the boat and the landscape, and I would thoroughly recommend him.

Very good experience
Feb 2020
My family and me booked the Unesco Geopark Mangrove Cruise and the Southern Island Geopark Tour. On the mangrove cruise we learned a lot about the geological background of Langkawi and the unique nature of the mangrove forest. On the southern island trip we visitited the sweet water lake on Dayam bunting island and were then brought to a beautiful beach that we could enjoy all by ourselves (no other tourists!). Both tours were guided by Fuad, a young yet very knowledgable tour guide, that immidiately got our sympathies with his calm and prudent character.
You can feel that Junglewallah really cares about nature and pays respect to it. We saw boats from other tour operators speeding through the mangroves, splashing water at monkeys or feeding wild animals. This kind of "entertainment" is not the style of Junglewallah and thererfore we were very happy we booked with them. Looking forward to more adventures on our next Langkawi trip!

The Langkawi Unesco Geopark Mangrove Cruise was very interesting and beautiful
Jan 2020
We did the private cruise. As it was a king tide and low tide, we started from the ocean side and we were very lucky to find a couple of brown winged kingfishers to start. Our guide provided very interesting information about the mangroves, the types of mangroves we saw and their important role in the ecosystem. Our guide and boat driver took us to less visited and crowded areas of the mangrove where we could appreciate the biodiversity of the area. We saw a mangrove pit viper, common king fisher, long tailed macaques, brahmini kites, sea eagles, herons, mudskippers, etc. Truly recommended this cruise as their focus in on appreciation of the ecosystem instead of feeding animals.
