Booked through Klook and our guide was Safwan. It’s rainy season in Langkawi in September but happily it didn’t rain the morning of our tour .
Tour started at 10.30 from Tanjung Rhu ferry and it was enjoyable one and a half hour boat ride through the mangrove swamp. Learnt interesting facts about the mangroves, different species and how they evolved to adapt to the sea water . Saw Brahmin kite eagles, flipper crabs, monkeys and went inside a bat cave . Brief stop at a lelong and I like that this is an eco tour conscious of conservation , no shopping stops and feeding of wild life.

A great trip in a boat with outboard engine through the mangroves and karst region of Langkawi with Junglewalla and Francis as our guide. It looked to me as though most of the boats do similar tours - mud crabs, long tailed macaques, karst scenery, Brahminy Kites and White Bellied Sea Eagles, caves, bats, fish and other wildlife. You may see the Mangrove Pit Viper or a collared kingfisher ... the keys to any tour are local knowledge, good presentation skills, and in my case good English. Francis is a good story teller with a great command of English, and excellent local knowledge, not just of Langkawi, but of Malaysia in general. There were ten in our tour and he was attentive, aware of his multilingual audience, of the boat and the landscape, and I would thoroughly recommend him.

A fantastic tour of the mangrove with a highly informative guide. Learnt so much about the mangrove the rainforest and their eco management in this UNESCO site. Beautiful landscapes and wildlife. Amazing to see kites and sea eagles in their natural habitat. For anyone without sea legs there is a stretch of open sea at speed toward the end of the tour!
Well worth the trip. Go for the shared boat option it makes it more cost effective and sociable.

My family and me booked the Unesco Geopark Mangrove Cruise and the Southern Island Geopark Tour. On the mangrove cruise we learned a lot about the geological background of Langkawi and the unique nature of the mangrove forest. On the southern island trip we visitited the sweet water lake on Dayam bunting island and were then brought to a beautiful beach that we could enjoy all by ourselves (no other tourists!). Both tours were guided by Fuad, a young yet very knowledgable tour guide, that immidiately got our sympathies with his calm and prudent character.
You can feel that Junglewallah really cares about nature and pays respect to it. We saw boats from other tour operators speeding through the mangroves, splashing water at monkeys or feeding wild animals. This kind of "entertainment" is not the style of Junglewallah and thererfore we were very happy we booked with them. Looking forward to more adventures on our next Langkawi trip!

Excellent boat tour of Kilim Karst Geopark. We saw crabs, bats, macaques, sea eagles, kites and lots of interesting fish. Our guide was knowledgeable and very friendly. And the company takes a proper approach towards ecotourism - eg not feeding the eagles and monkeys (as other operators do). If you are going to do a tour of this lovely mangrove area, I would recommend doing it with a reputable company like Jungle Walla.

We did the private cruise. As it was a king tide and low tide, we started from the ocean side and we were very lucky to find a couple of brown winged kingfishers to start. Our guide provided very interesting information about the mangroves, the types of mangroves we saw and their important role in the ecosystem. Our guide and boat driver took us to less visited and crowded areas of the mangrove where we could appreciate the biodiversity of the area. We saw a mangrove pit viper, common king fisher, long tailed macaques, brahmini kites, sea eagles, herons, mudskippers, etc. Truly recommended this cruise as their focus in on appreciation of the ecosystem instead of feeding animals.

The experience was out of this world.

1. The boatman was very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The boat ride was gentle, slow and steady (unlike some other tour boats that passes by us dashing through too fast that I doubt their guests had the same immersed experience that I had with Junglewalla). I felt safe throughout the cruise. He also brought us through routes not taken by other companies.

2. The guide, Mr Azri, was very much the friendliest, caring, knowledgeable and thoughtful guide we've ever met. He knows Langkawi, the mangroves, the Geo park, its flora and faunas so well that it made us feel so lucky to have him as our guide. He also patiently answered all our curious questions. Not to forget, he also reminded us whenever there are great photo worthy areas and even assisted to take our photos.

3. The trip was so fun, we didn't want it to stop.

4. Money worth spending ffor the experience gained.

Thanks Junglewalla .

Fantastic tour of the mangroves this morning. Even though it was raining pretty heavily the veiws were still absolutely spectacular and for me didn't ruin the experience at all. We were even given complimentary rain ponchos which was very kind. Our tour guide Venosha was great! Really informative about the mangroves and surrounding wildlife and you could tell she was very passionate about eco tourism and knowledgeable on the area.

This tour does not do eagle or fish feeding and Venosha took time to explain to us the ways this type of tourism can be damaging.

Reccommend both jungle walla and a trip to the kilim geoforest park for anyone visiting Langkawi! 😊

This tour was the perfect way to see and learn about the Kilim Geopark. Our guide Francis was incredibly informative about the ecosystem, flora and fauna in the mangroves. The scenery was beautiful and the tour was well organised. I highly recommend this tour.
