Overview
Escape the city and travel to the Vietnamese countryside to experience a cookery class with a difference. Unlike on other culinary tours, you’ll explore a local market, take a boat cruise on the Thu Bon river, ride in a cart pulled by a water buffalo, and even receive a shoulder massage before learning to cook Vietnamese delicacies. Plus, for the ultimate convenience, hotel pickup and drop-off, and a vegetarian meal option are available.
What to Expect
There is no other tour like this in Hoi An! Children are welcome on this tour with many activities for them to enjoy. We also provide babysitting services while you are taking the class.
We will first take you on a tour of the market to see the variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, seafood, and other unique foods for sale. Here we will purchase our fresh produce to use for our cooking class later in the morning.
After the market tour we will take you on a very relaxing boat trip up the Thu Bon river to the water coconut grove which is 7 hectares in size. We then transport you the location for the cooking class by buffalo cart through the countryside, about a 15-minute trip.
On arrival at the cooking class you will be met by our generous hosts who have arranged for you a foot massage to help you relax. After our foot massage we venture through the garden to the purpose built area where you will prepare your foods which were selected from the market earlier and on completing the meals we will sit down, share and enjoy our lunch.

We had a great time, preparing and eating the food. Great help from Van, clean and well prepared. We started with a boattrip, from Hoi an, did the basketboat shorttrip and the buffalo ride. The footmassage was very relaxing

Great time for me and my fiance'. It starts with a tour in the Old Town market checking out the produce that is sold and used every day in cooking. Then a boat ride up river, to bamboo basket rides, a water buffalo drawn carriage...More

I believe so. The class included a boat trip from Hoi An, a foot massage and a ride in a buffalo cart. Great fun.
