What to Expect

Meet your guide in central Brasov and travel by car or minivan to Rasnov, located in the Bucegi Mountains. Learn about Rasnov Fortress and how it fended off attacks from Tatars. Explore the courtyards and ramparts of the 13th-century fortress. Choose to pause for lunch in Rasnov (own expense).

Continue by car to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula’s Castle. Admire the high stone walls and red turrets flanked by the Carpathian Mountains. Enter the castle (own expense) and wander through with your guide. Learn about the area’s stories and legends.

You can choose to extend your tour for an additional fee and go to the 19th-century Bavarian-style Peles Castle, and well as the smaller art nouveau-style Pelisor Castle.

At the end of your tour, travel in your vehicle back to Brasov.

Our guide went to the ticket office ( without having to queue) and we reimbursed him, it was an added bonus of being with him

We were picked up at 9.15 and returned to our hotel a bit after 2.30pm and we didn’t do Peles Castle. If you text the company they should be able to tell you.
