About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- shayna7970 contributionsFantastic food, wine and sights tour.I booked this tour in 2019 for a May 2020 trip, without trip insurance. In unraveling that trip, Richard, my contact told me that I could have a credit for when we rescheduled our trip. Once we rescheduled for September 2023, I reached back out and Richard was fantastic about honoring our tour. Đivo (the D is pronounced as a G) was a fabulous guide for our private food tour with city history around Dubrovnik. We saw the city and ate our way through it and had a wine tasting of Croatian wines. It was fabulous. Highly recommend.Written 11 October 2023
- charlottem2360 contributionsTHE Food and wine tour in DubrovnikBozidar is a wonderful host So knowledgeable and so passionate about wine, which suited us down to the ground as we really wanted to learn about Croatian wine As for the food well what can we say totally delightfulWritten 6 October 2021
- pardo9980 contributionsA must book eventBo was great teacher and guide through Croatian Wines. Really enjoyed how he guided us through many spots in the city to get a taste of these hard to get wines, outside of Croatia. A must book in the City.Written 11 September 2021
- turningleftforless0 contributionsDo not book - they take your money and don't turn up!I booked a tour and despite receiving confirmation and ticket no one turned up. I spent £10 on getting an Uber to the starting point too. Phone calls just go to a message saying there is no one available. It's a scam!Written 9 October 2019
- Jos1560 contributionsWine tasting in croatiaWe booked the wine tasting tour not knowing what to expect .there was only four of us on the trip even when fully maximum of 8 person . Lovely wine guide called Tena who was very knowledgable not only about the wine but as a local the city and culture . We had a great day sampling wines which we would not have found if we had been alone . Well worth the cost will do again in the future and recommend to friendsWritten 3 September 2019
- Pathfinder4233120 contributionsBozidar is the Best!My wife and I recently took a trip to Dubrovnik to celebrate her 40th birthday. It was a super quick trip with only three full days on the ground - but enabled by AA's new direct flight out of PHL. Tremendous place - we loved it - super impressed by the area, the people, the food - the whole package. With all of that said, one experience stood out from the rest as being exceptionally interesting and authentic - and that was a wine tasting with a local writer and sommelier - Bozidar Jukic of Insider Holidays. The wine tour included four stops and several local joints spread out across Dubrovnik. Each stop consisted of various flights of different wines accompanied by light snacks. Bozidar is an expert on Croatian wine - and can tailor the tour to varying levels of wine knowledge. Croatia has hundreds of wineries located throughout the country - all with widely different characters and flavors given the various micro-climates and geological conditions of the different regions. Having a guide for this abundance in flavor is a must. Bozidar is the best!Written 30 July 2019
- B8313ZCallisonb0 contributionsAmazing and Personalized Tour of the Peljesac Peninsula! My husband and I took this tour in early June and fell in love with the Peljesac peninsula. Our guide Tena met us just outside the city walls of Dubrovnik very promptly. We then embarked on an entire day of travel, wine and learning about Croatia. Tena was warm and friendly but also extremely knowledgeable. We had a delicious lunch in Mali Ston right by the water--fresh fish that I literally hand picked which was then filleted in front of me! We toured the salt works and then visited three wineries throughout the day- each of which was unique. The scenery was indescribable. We are so blessed to have met Tena and had a tearful goodbye with her at the ferry in Orebic. This tour left such an imprint in our lives and solidified our return in the future!Written 11 July 2019
- liztravel010 contributionsMust do for Wine Lovers in DubrovnikWhat a lovely surprise and I think this is mainly due to the owner Ana's knowledge and personality. It was only a small group which we like, the first winery visit was a little average but the highlight of the tour was definitely visiting a local Winemakers house, meeting the family and taste wine straight from the barrel plus getting served stunning local produce. Once the tour finished Ana even escorted us all to a lovely wine bar in Dubrovnik Old Town, where we didn't leave until 1am. Therefore as you can see a very successful day for everyone involved.Written 10 January 2019
- Cathy M0 contributionsStar Wars tour with DorisHad an amazing time on a private tour (end of season 😁) with Doris the tour guide, very informative about many things, not just Star Wars, threw in some Dubrovnik history and some GOT info too, showed us some places we hadn’t even k own where there, would recommend this to anybody!Written 25 October 2018
- jennykvb0 contributionsPerfect for my Star Wars nerd HusbandA few scenes from The Last Jedi were filmed here, so we took a Star Wars tour since my husband is more of a Star Wars fan than Game of Thrones. If you recall from the movie, Dubrovnik was the inspiration for Canto Bight. Our passionate tour guide printed out photos of each scene and took us to the corresponding location.Written 3 August 2018
- jantexHouston0 contributionsGreat guide with a passion for his cityBo gave us a very informative tour (4 people) at a leisurely pace. He not only gave us history but expressed the feelings of the people in his community. We loved our visit!Written 21 July 2018
- Alireza20 contributionsFantasticDorris was my guide and showed me around the old town and places where the movie was made. She knows everything about the movie and how they made it. After all I got from Dorris, I need to watch the movie once more to fresh off my imaginations. Worth the time and the price for those who are a movie fan.Written 23 June 2018
- Greg W0 contributionsOysters, Wine & FoodBooked a private tour for 5 of us through Bozidar. Our guide Marina took us in a comfortable van for a terrific day through the Peljesac Peninsula. First stop was the oyster tour - our own boat, with refreshments and onto the pontoon for a real treat - so many oysters and straight from the water to the plate. Then onto wine tasting and at the second family winery a sumptuous lunch of local foods cooked and served by members of the family. Marina was a great guide, so enthusiastic that we should enjoy our day - which we did very much. The scenery was fantastic - a great idea to get out of Dubrovnik and see the country. Thoroughly recommend this trip.Written 31 May 2018

- 348Philip_G0 contributionsThe best of toursWe enquired by 'phone from our boat moored near Dubrovnik and were recommended to do the Peljesac Peninsula wine tour, so we booked. Ana collected us and we joined two other couples, Belgian and US in a comfortable mini bus and we were taken firstly to Ston, amazing salt pans and fortress. Then to Milas winery for tasting and information on their wines. Ana also gave a fascinating commentary whilst we were being driven on to the next stop. The scenery was beautiful and the roads whilst steep sided were fine and the whole journey was really comfortable. The highlight was to arrive at the home and winery of Denis and Moya (Vinarija Kriz) where we sat at their kitchen table, drank their fabulous Plavac Mali wines and ate charcuterie and cheese from their farm. In all it was a great day out, good value and a pleasure to talk to Ana and learn of her experiences as a young Croatian and her passion for wine. We were so impressed that we booked her husband Bozidar for a private tour of Dubrovik city and that was five star too!!Written 5 November 2017

Bo was a great guide for the day combining local knowledge with an obvious passion for local wines. We visited three wineries that demonstrated the breadth and uniqueness of wines. All in all an excellent afternoon that I would recommend.

We really enjoyed this trip. Bo was an extremely good and knowledgable guide. From the stop in Ston to try the local oysters to the three varied winery visits, this was excellent from start to finish. Already recommended to friends arriving in August. We were very lucky to have a good mix of people on our trip which along with Bo’s personality made for a very chilled day.

This was an incredible trip that was definitely worth the price. Our guide Tihan was entertaining, thoughtful, and took every chance he could get to make sure our experience was amazing. My favorite place was the Vukas winery. I felt like I was getting the Royal treatment. It was so private and intimate and i also felt good about the small, boutique wineries that the tour supported, taking you away from well known places that are owned by non-Croatians. There’s so much more to this experience than just wine, from oysters, to history, to the locals, and even the Croatian version of grapa! Overall, I definitely recommend.

Boz was amazing! We ended up up having a private tour (there were 3 of us) for the price of a group tour and Boz made sure we all had a great time. From the moment he picked us up he was super friendly and very informative; it wasn’t like being with a tour guide it was like an old friend was showing us round. Boz knows everything from wine to the history of Croatia and even the local wildlife 😜. The 3 wineries were excellent and all uniquely different. He even took us for oysters whilst showing us around Ston. I would recommend everyone to book this tour as Boz thinks of every perfect detail even down to bringing along chocolate to go along with the wine!

This tour was an excellent introduction to wines from the Peljesac peninsula. I was with a friend and although 2 other people were supposed to join for the small group tour, it ended up being a private tour. We were picked up from our hotel around 1:30, drove up to Ston where we stopped to tour the small town, learned some history, saw the salt flats and had the option to try the famous Ston oysters. From there we visited 3 wineries, going from the small family domain of Milos (our favorite), and progressing to a fabulous location of Grgich, to a larger winery, so we got to experience a full range. From this selection, we are very impressed by the quality of the local wines. Often when travelling in different countries we do wine tours, and this one definitely stood out. Our guide, Bo, was extremely knowledge about wine and food of the area and even arranged to stop at a restaurant for an apéritif after the winery visits. A trip highlight.

The best tour on our 9 day trip to Croatia. Bo was a wonderful guide - we had no idea we were booking a tour with a sommelier with such deep knowledge about wine and wine making. He answered all of our questions and taught us so much about Croatian history and wine making. We visited Ston and tried scrumptious oysters, then went to three fantastic vineyards, tried liquors and olive oils, and enjoyed the scenic drive through the peninsula. We bought way too many wines to take back home with us but this was such a fabulous experience. Well worth the price for the tour. We highly recommend it!!! Had no idea Croatia had such unique grapes and wines, we’ll be back for sure!

Daniel was fantastic as a driver and guide! Very professional and personal! We had a wonderful day hearing history of Croatia as we drove to 3 wineries for tasting. Then per his recommendation we added lunch in Ston after our tour to a wonderful seaside restaurant that had amazing food and atmosphere. We never would have found it on our own. A lovely way to spend a day!

We booked the Peljesac Peninsula history and wine tour. Simply put, it was well worth it. Bozidar, the owner operator, will be your host for the day. He is very knowledgeable on many aspects of the region and knows a lot about wine. He is also a world traveler himself, very helpful and can hold thoughtful conversation on just about any topic you can think of. He thoughtfully picked the wineries for this tour based on their unique offering, and great tasting wine of course. If your lucky enough to be the only guests for the day, as we were, Bosidar will be more than happy to customize your experience, which he did for us.

It's very rare for me to leave reviews, but after my experience I jumped to the opportunity. Being a beginner in wine tasting, this tour exceeded my expectation.
1. The tour guide is an expert in the field and was incredibly qualified and knowledged. He was patient and truely wanted to educate us and have a great experience. Well spoken, hospitable and mindful.
2. The Winery owners were awesome, and really engaged and imparted their knowledge and passion for what they do.
3. The wines were in my eyes good. Nothing tasted like vinegar and wines were well balanced.
As there were only 4 of us on the tour, the tour was very personal. Information was second to none. We had barrel of laughs win the process. Great country and great wines and great company. Magic formulae.

This tour is an amazing experience. We love to drink wine but we do not have a huge knowledge of wine. Despite this Bo shared his knowledge of wine with us in a professional way. Bo's passion for wine is very evident He does his best to share his knowledge and appreciation of wine with his guests. We loved visiting the three wineries and we came to appreciate the huge amount of work that goes into producing wine in this stunningly beautiful region. We would highly recommend this tour. Thanks to Bo and the winemakers!!!

We arrive on Sept. 15, 2021 at 8 am in Dubrovnik on a Norwegian Cruise Line ship. Do you have any morning or mid-day tours? When I checked availability, it only offered late afternoon. We need to return to the ship in the afternoon to leave for the next port.

Hi! Our Wine Lover's Tour lasted about 5 hours-5.5 with transport time. We ended up running a tad late because we were having such a good conversation with the winemakers at Kriz. It truly did not feel that long as we wished we could've stayed longer.
