What an adventure! Mario was a great guide with a friendly and humorous approach to his storytelling. So much was packed into this full day tour and I think it's a great price. It was a great way to get a taste of the Caribbean side of Panama. I would recommend this tour as it is a great way to do various activities in one shot.

First impression before tour started: Why nobody confirm the tour and the exact pickup time. So I send a message night before the trip and receiver a reply late evening.
First impression when tour started: "Oh my good, typical tourist tour with a guide who ist talking nonstop,...." But this impression changed after 20 min. Yes it is a tour for tourist and Mario was talking a lot, but he did it somehow interesting and easy to listen way. The communikation was interactive. The tour was organized professionally, no hurry at all.
For somebody who want to see and learn a bit of Panama, without having any stress, I recommend to book this tour.

We did this tour today and it was very well done!
Mario is a fountain of knowledge and presented information with a sense of humor that was most effective! He is both very personable and professional!
We saw howler monkeys, white faced monkeys and sloths.
The visit to the new section of the canal is very interesting. Take the time to watch a ship travel through one of the locks!!

I called 45 minutes after supposed pickup time at W Hotel. We were told to walk to the corner and wait for them. 10 minutes later, in sunny 94 degrees, the van shows up and proceeds to pick up other people from hotels in the same area. They passed our hotel twice during that time. Why did we have to walk to the corner? Why were we not told an accurate pickup time if we were the first passengers. Then the van, almost loaded, traveled to the old city to pick up more passengers, 20 minutes. We circled around the block five times in traffic, waiting for the customers. They could not be found. We drove another 20minutes back, though our hotel’s neighborhood to pick up a last person. Why weren’t these no shows contacted earlier by phone. By the time the last passenger was picked up, it was 2 hours after the 10:15 pickup time. The touring was ok. No animals in rain forest. A stop for gas on my time was unacceptable. A van and driver should fill up before the tour. A half hour stop at a large grocery store for us to buy our own lunch was complicated and a waste of time. This trip was not worth the money. Mario, the guide was informative, but full of excuses about he and the driver not communicating well. Like it was a joke. I would not recommend this tour or this tour company.

The tour was well organised including the pick up and drop off. The guide was great. Enjoyed it so much especially the rainforest. Saw lots of howler monkeys and also two toed and three toe monkeys. First time seeing these lovely creatures in their natural habitat.
Enjoyed the tour so much that I joined them for a tour to Monkey Island as well.
Highly recommended.

We docked in colon for one day and had provoked the tour. When we disembarked the guide was waiting holding a sign with our name on. We were straight into the car and off!
The guide advised that we do the rainforest first as there would be more wildlife in the morning. He soon picked up that we liked birds and made a special effort to point them out. We saw howler monkeys and white faced cappuchins and another animal that I can't remember the name of!
The fort was interesting but we didn't spend too long there as the kids were bored.
We got to see boats going through both old and new locks and spent time at the visitor centre. Great value and knowledgeable guide.

Mario is a good and entertaining tour guide. He’s English is fair to understand. The tour details are, however, not entirely accurate.
We did not stop at a national park (rain forrest) per se. On our way to San Lorenzo Fort you drive through the forrest and here is where you spot some animals. There is no fee to enter the National Park San Lorenzo so this is not technically an exclusion.
The fee to enter the Agua Clara visitor’s center is listed twice as an exclusion.
Beverages. He briefly mentioned that if someone wants a drink he would buy them when we stopped to buy lunch in Colón. However, the drinks/water were not offered later on. He should buy them without asking and offer them in the car during the trip.
Excluded fees to enter the Agua Clara visitor’s center ($15 for foreigners) and the San Lorenzo Fort ($5) should be listed on the tour details as a reference.
The van is clean and comfortable. However, the tire treads on the van are gone and this is a safety issue in the event of rain (and in Panama it rains a lot). Van tires should be replaced as soon as possible.

We were picked up on time by Alex. I had not expected such an in depth tour of the canal, sightings of monkeys, exotic birds and sloths as well as a the visit to the SAN Lorenzo fort. Alex, our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile and point out areas and animals of special interest.
I highly recommend this tour and Alex our tour guide! Thank you Almiza tours and especially our guide Alex!

We did this tour on New Year's Eve and had a great time. After hotel pick-ups, you drive across Panama to the Caribbean and stop at a supermarket to pick up lunch. The San Lorenzo Fort is neat, the views are impressive. The canal expansion at Aquas Claras was much less crowded than the Miraflores locks near Panama City. It was a must-see to see the huge ships go through the Panama Canal. I highly recommend this tour. I just wish we had spent more time in the rainforest. We saw a sloth, coati, and Howler monkeys from the car. The driver stopped so we could take pictures. If we had spent more time in the rainforest, I would definitely give this 5 stars.

We are arrive late on 10/24 and are scheduled to stay at the Marriott Courtyard, near the airport - is their an extra charge for a pickup? We want to stay in Colon, and not return to Panama City - how does that impact the trip? How much are the entrance fees for San Lorenzo Fort and the Canal? We are a party of two.
