About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- MinnLakes0 contributionsSCAM Company- Do NOT book!!!I booked a day boating and snorkeling trip through Marriott Activities which served as an intermediary connecting me to PJ’s. I received emailed pdf tickets and shared our resort location for pickup. I had asked over email for a pickup time but did not receive a response. Upon arrival in Fiji, I called the company to confirm our pickup details. Someone answered who claimed to have bad phone reception. They told me something about being closed and there wouldn’t be a tour for us. I tried to ask clarifying questions but they claimed poor reception and said they would message me on WhatsApp. I didn’t get a message from them so I reached out on WhatsApp- no response back. So as it ended up, we didn’t have a boating tour to join and I still can’t reach anyone at the company to discuss a refund. I would highly encourage anyone going to Fiji to avoid this company before they scam you out of money too. We scrambled and found an alternative with South Sea Cruises and they were wonderful!Written 15 December 2023
- Alexafreeman19920 contributionsTerrible experience- do not recommendWe sat in the jetty for 1.5 hrs because the boat was broken that was meant to take us to the island on and then we were like actually were not gonna go because its a half day trip and by the tjme we get there half of that will be up and they pretty much wouldnt let us off the boat and said we will compensate you on the island and when we got to to the island they gave us a free cocktail that they had chosen for us so it was a blue lagoon. So not ideal and then wouldnt compensate us anymore and the boat we came home on was a tiny little tinny boat that took 1 hr to get back. We were also promised turtle and fish feeding and neither were anywhere to be seenWritten 21 June 2023
- Vossy070 contributionsSerenity 👌🏻Day out on the water Morning started with a transfer clusterduck so we made our own way on the Bula bus (eh no big deal) Turned out my partner and I were only joined by another couple, so we got the speed boat (fishing boat) to Serenity, which was perfect to get the fresh air through the air. We had 2 guides for the day, (sorry I’ve forgotten his name as captain) and Dom. Hit the island paradise in 45 minutes flat. Picture perfect island resort. Joined in checking in on Tony the Turtle in the recovery pool before joining the island guests for fish feeding where we jumped off the boat to begin snorkeling colourful and lively coral reefs. Lunch we got to pick off the island lunch menu, whatever we wanted as it’s included before doing a lap of the island for photos and jumping in for a snorkel again. Kicked back on the pool side before returning to the boat. Returned to shambolic transfer set up but Bula bus was the easy option Ripper day out Just need to be better on communication for transfers but that’s a non issue. Email comms in the lead up we’re great!Written 12 June 2023
- Hawkeye40770 contributionsWhat a catch …and one got away!A fantastic day cruise the reef between Lautoka and the islands. What’s more we caught fish. Spanish mackerel, GT and a ocean trout! Took two back to our resort where chefs served up a feast. Great friendly staff and a really nice way to spend four hours on the water. Highly recommendWritten 25 November 2022
- nicholasi9210 contributionsGreat morning outReally enjoyed the fishing charter caught plenty of fish and the crew was really helpful especially when I'm not the most experienced fisherman. They still did not hesitate to help me and answer any questionsWritten 9 September 2022
- 379perryt0 contributionsDisappointingRight from the start the engine on the boat played up. They persevered whilst being apologetic. 3 hrs to get to fish location, 30 min fishing. Then 4 hrs back with boat breaking down and stopping. Weather dampened sons 30th Bday, but the response from the Sydney based Indian owner totally spoilt the occasion. We asked for 50% refund, he stated that will come out of the workers wages, and asked if we still want to pursue that. I hope people who use this company have no issues, because dealing with the Indian owner is extremely painful. BTW, he offered 10% refund and still hasn't paid.Written 30 November 2020

- Purplewino0 contributionsBEST SNORKELING EVER1! You have got to do it!The crew on the sailing ship are great, friendly, engaging, knowledgeable, and local! The coral, the anemone’s, the fish here....including NEMO.....are better than Hawaii, the Caribbean, Thailand, Mexico. Pretty good singers too, a very fun and entertaining crew on a SMALL GROUP SCHOONER. Hard to beat. GREAT PEOPLE. THE BEST. JUST DO IT!Written 29 February 2020
- jamiewJ3204NW0 contributionsExcellent fishing trip and Outstanding serviceMy wife and I had a awesome day aboard Watch Dog, a big thanks to CAPT Mez, Tex and Adi they were outstanding we even got to see a pod of dolphins and a Killer Whale (Orca). Can’t recommend these guys and girls highly enough, we will definitely be back. ThanksWritten 21 January 2020
- mydetailsprivate0 contributionsFantastic Fishing DayWe chose the 1/2 day trip based on rough weather during most afternoons and were not disappointed. A quick run out and some trolling, unfortunately on the day were were unsuccessful, same when casting for GT's over some nice looking Bommies. Skipper Steve was always looking to find a solution, so it was off to some deep reefs (Steve's special spot!). First drop of a bait and we were on. My daughter and wife had never caught large fish before and the crew looked after them very well. We all ended up with several large Coral Trout, Cod and Red Emperor. The boat was well sized, we only had three on board fishing, four or five would be enough without getting in each others way. We would certainly go again and highly recommend this local business. As with all locations, it the locals that provide the best results. Bula Bula to PJ's Cruising. PS the restaurant Coro's at the wharf cooked our catch superbly.Written 26 December 2019
- CyberMango0 contributionsFishing TripAwesome fishing trip with my 7 year old boy. Caught his first 8kg Spanish Mackerel. The skipper and crew were helpful in making this a very special day.Written 8 September 2019
- Jaynesharonh0 contributionsMy trip to paradise , Serenity IslandNothing could ever describe how this place is so magical. Snorkelling similar to barrier reef with less people, the fish were amazing. Almost deserted island with our 11, I saw a handful more people Lunch very good. 2 drinks included. The staff provided fresh fruit, biscuits and soft drinks. They showed us how to weave from palm fronds, a cricket and a fish. Played guitar and serenaded us back home. Super friendly team.the highlight of my trip. Just awesome.Written 30 July 2019
- 965phillipc0 contributionsamazing day outthe day started with us arriving late due to heavy traffic, but all were still waiting and in a good mood. No problems, we are on "Fiji time". Small number of passengers appealed to us. Crew looked after our 5 yr old granddaughter. Lovely time on the island, although the snorkeling tour felt a little rushed. A highlight was feeding the fish and seeing the huge range of colours and sizes. Also being able to hold the baby turtles and help clean their shells with a toothbrush. The trip back was calm and unhurried, all crew spent the whole time singing and doing flax weaving with whoever wanted, a real highlight for our granddaughter. Definitely recommend this trip to anyone.Written 18 July 2019
- Tuscan_light0 contributionsThe perfect day!We loved our day trip to Serenity Island with the PJ’s crew. The island itself is gorgeous and the snorkeling was amazing, but it was really the crew who made the day so enjoyable. They were so good with the kids, in particular, Dax and Phillip who helped the kids fish off the back of the boat, snorkel and taught them some weaving. The baby sea turtles were a real highlight as well. The whole day was really well planned, but was very relaxed and we never felt rushed. The trip back from the island was especially relaxing, with the crew pulling out their guitars and ukele for a singalong. The day was the highlight of our trip so far, I can’t recommend them highly enough! Vinaka to Dax, Phillip, Bubba and the Captain! From Kate, Dan, Charlie and Savannah :)Written 8 July 2019
- Mandy R0 contributionsFun Fun Fun! A Great experienceI loved my experience with PJ’s. I was a little skeptical since the other snorkeling adventure I had booked on the Coral Coast didn’t go very well and this was a last minute decision right before I left Fiji. I am glad I decided to do this. The entire crew, from the driver who picked me up to the people at the restaurant on the island, were all super nice and just want you to have a good time. The guys on the boat were extremely funny. They are also musically talented and sing both on the way there and back. They serve treats and drinks on the boat and as an added bonus they drag a line and will reel in fish while traveling. The snorkeling was a bit better than my previous experience. They also fed the fish so a ton of them come around. The one down side are the sea lice that bite you, but there isn’t much you can do about that. The lunch was included and was delicious. You had time to explore on your own or go back snorkeling. One of my favorite parts was the weaving lesson they gave on the way back using coconut leaves. We got to make a fish and a grasshopper. The guys are really talented and this is well worth the trip. The island is not overcrowded and it is just about the right amount of time. It is about an hour and a half each way on the boat. Highly recommend and I would definitely go on a trip with them again.Written 6 July 2019

We originally booked for the island day trip but due to unavailability (not enough numbers). When we visited their booth at Denarau we were suggested to take a private tour for around $750 FJD which was to include snorkelling, fishing, visiting an island, and what we assumed was to be a great experience.
Our boat driver Sweetie (I think that’s how you spell it) gave us little to no communication and only took us to one “snorkelling” spot which has poor visibility and was very choppy. We did nothing else promised to us. He was a poor guide and the boat that was used had no protection from the elements and both my partner and I were soaking wet from very early on. We had to shield ourselves with our towels and could not relax/speak with each other the whole time.
Upon finishing the tour, we immediately got in contact with the woman at the booth who we booked through and she assured us we would be able to work out some sort of reimbursement. Fast forward nearly a week, and multiple trips to meet said woman, we are still without any refund and feel like we have been run around in circles.
Broken promises and fake smiles culminated with the receptionist giving us our boat driver’s phone number and effectively revoking any responsibility from herself. My partner and I then tried to contact the driver and he is refusing to accept any liability and then even claimed he did not know who ‘Sweetie’ was once the argument continued over the phone. Our trip has now finished and we are yet to receive any form of refund.
Overall, a pretty disappointing experience especially given our limited time in Fiji. We highly recommend not trusting this company, and will be telling all our friends and family to steer well clear of here.

Can’t recommend it enough!!!!
From the booking till the end everything was perfect. Thank so much Adni for recommending this trip for us, look for her at the Terminal of Denarau and book the trip with her! She will give you all the tips.
Even tho we had a rainy day the trip was amazing thanks to our wonderful crew Kelvin and Tex.
These guys are truly amazing and passionate about what they’re doing. They take care of you all the time, they guide you on your snorkelling journey and giving tips and tricks.
We were so lucky to have a small group of 4 and go out on a speedboat:)
Please do yourself a favour and book this trip if you want to experience something incredible 😊

This is an excursion you should not miss! I worked with Adi during COVID to book and rebook the sail and snorkel trip, and she was understanding, friendly and accommodating from start to finish. She kept in communication with me, and even found our group the morning of the trip on the crowded Port Denarau dock based on what I assume was my gmail profile picture. We were greeted with a song on the dock, and then set sail with Captain Deve, Vincent, Tex, Kelvin, and Male - what a group! Male and Vincent serenaded us both going out and coming back in to dock. They were the most friendly group of people we had ever encountered on a tour. Once at Serenity Island, we swam, snorkeled with Deve and Kelvin, ate lunch, took a tour of their resort, relaxed, had a massage before heading back in. This was one of my favorite memories of Fiji. Would definitely book them again with a friends or family trip. Amazing group!

This trip was amazing, the crew was very friendly and the snorkeling experience was great. My favourite part was a crew member pointing out interesting things we saw while snorkeling to us and explaining about the reef. Serenity Island itself was stunning, the reef left me speechless. Food and drinks were provided and good. 10/10 would recommend this trip to anyone, family, couples whatsoever!

Amazing! Was such a wonderful day on the boat and 100% recommend everyone to do this. We where very lucky to have the boat to ourselves, with 5 of the amazing crew, who sang to us and chatted all the way. Serenity island was amazing too. Overall it was a lot of fun!

We only found out at 4pm the day before that the trip we had booked and paid for had been cancelled. We only found this out because I happen to call PJ's to confirm the departure time. I was assured that I would get a full refund within 3 days. that was 12 days ago and no refund. I will be doing a chargeback on my credit card. Appalling customer service. Best to avoid this one.

We had our best day in Fiji on this tour! The staff were so kind and took care of us so well, they really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We were lucky to be the only 2 people on the tour and got a private tour on a speed boat, I think most companies would have cancelled. We ended up going to Beachcomber island instead and the island was beautiful, the snorkeling was amazing and the food was a great bbq buffet. There were other daytrippers there but we definitely had the best guide and service. Our guide personally took us on a beautiful long snorkel because it was what we were most excited about. Thank you so much Tex and John for the best day, you guys are the best!!

A fabulous day from start to finish! A small group tour on a sailing boat crewed by the friendliest of crew made it feel like we were spending the day on a friend’s boat. Some of us aren’t as mobile as we once were and the crew made everything easy for us. We felt very safe. Snorkeling was just wonderful with so many fish! A lovely buffet lunch followed by a visit to a sea turtle sanctuary - very special. Then the choice to snorkel some more or swim in pristine water straight off the beach. And then serenaded by a very talented trio from the crew.

The entertainment provided on this trip was one of the highlights of our trip.
We had a small group, 9 in total and the crew and staff made everyone of us feel included. Excellent singalongs, food and hospitality on the island.
The resort on the island is showing signs of wear and tear but sure this will improve as more tourists come back.

Since I booked the trip, Adi was very responsive with any questions via email. The staff was super professional. We had an absolute blast on our trip. We have an 11 and 13 year old who were completely entertained the entire time. We snorkeled and saw reef sharks and beautiful fish. We had a lovely Indian lunch on the island. We caught fish on the way back.

I am a solo female traveller who is staying at an air bnb near nadi Airport. I would like to book a trip and would be willing to get to the nearest hotel for a pick up. Would I be able to book a trip?

I think you can include travel to and from the port. My husband and I rented a car so we opted out but I remember them offering it. We purchased our tickets through a shop in the Nadi shopping town at the intersection of Natovo Ln and Andrews Rd. The guys were very friendly and helpful, will definitely be going back to them to book other adventures next time we're in Fiji.

How long is the sailing trip from the marina to the island? I sometimes get sea sick, how rough is the ride?

We went a week ago. It was about 1 hour but the outlook is worth it. The sea wasn't rough and even the kids didn't get sea sick.

Hi Wendy , best ring them directly at the port/marina. Technology is on Fiji time to say the least. That way they can sort you directly & take payment or reserve your booking . Mornings are best time while the port is busy , enjoy your day , you will not regret going on this smaller charter!
