Great Tour and Our Guide Literally Saved My Friend's Life
Oct 2021
From what were were able to experience of the tour, we loved it! We started by getting picked up from our hostel in Cusco and brought to the ranch where we were assigned two well-trained horses. The tour started by taking a lovely walk in the rural outskirts of Cusco with a great view of the city while our guide told us a bit about Peru and some of the important plants we were passing. We then made our way to Devil's Balcony, a very cool small cave that overlooks a waterfall.

At this point, my friend started to experience very bad altitude sickness and was on the verge of fainting, but it turns out our guide was a former paramedic! He carried her out to the main road, called a taxi to pick us up, and then sourced and picked up an oxygen tank before taking us back to our hostel. He didn't ask for anything extra for the oxygen he provided or the extra-long taxi ride, and arranged to pick up the tank from the hostel later that night.

Awesome adventure to devils balcony
Sep 2021 • Couples
After looking for something to do in Cusco on one of the days we had nothing planned I took to the internet and saw many people recommended horseback riding with Olgor. We jumped on the idea of seeing the area by horseback and we were definitely not disappointed. We did the Devils balcony tour with Temple of the Moon and even got to trek through a cave. We really enjoyed Olgor and his knowledge of the area. This was a great way to see the countryside and get amazing views of the city and mountains surrounding it. The horses were pretty tame and stayed in line very well. Olgor lets you trot and gallop if you are comfortable. If you are not experienced and not comfortable going faster then you can just let him know. If I came back to the area I would definitely do this again. It was for sure a highlight.

Great way to enjoy outdoors while in Cusco
Aug 2021
It was just 2 of us, friends who came to Cusco as a base place for visiting Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley. We booked with these guys based on needing to do something fairly easy to allow getting used to the altitude before going off for Inca trail. This tour was just awesome, the horses were very gentle, it was my second time ever on a horse but they were very easy to ride. The guide was a local guy who owns the business with his family. Wonderful person who enjoys the natural beauty of the Cusco and the surrounding area. Spoke excellent English. My friend got a bit winded walking around the Devils balcony, the altitude got to him, but the guide was quick to find some natural remedies and we were able to continue. Devil's balcony as well as Temple of the Moon were both great places to visit and experience the great landscapes around Cusco. Totally recommended for anyone !

Great afternoon excursion from Cusco
My wife and I were treated to an excellent horseback ride to the Devil’s Balcony and the Temple of the Moon. Our guide made us feel comfortable with the horses and gave interesting information in English on what we saw. This was the perfect excursion just outside Cisco. Highly recommend.

A fun way to discover the andes!
Aug 2021
We had a nice pleasant time with Holger and his horses, Holger is very informative, he always had an answer for our questions.

The horses are just amazing, very well trained, My husband growed up on a ranch and pushed me to do this activity, I was afraid but Holger gave me a very smarth and kind horse called "Galan", at the begining I was afraid, but Galan and Holger gave me confidence and at the end of the tour we finished with an small gallop.

Was a great way to pass our last Afternoon in in Cusco.

Note, Bring windbraker, along august, there is quite windy during the afternoons.

Thanks Holger!

An absolute must!
I had the best time during this activity. An absolute highlight of the trip. The tour guide was so present and knowledgeable about everything I asked. From plants, animals, sites, and of course horses! It was such an experience I’ll treasure.

Awesome Horseriding Experience
Jun 2021
A driver picked us up from our hotel right on time and brought us to the ranch. Then, we were promptly given helmets and assigned horses. I could tell that the horses were well looked after and my horse, Palermo, was so cute. The ride was wonderful for both me (semi experienced) and my father (minimal experience) and was in total about 3 hours on the horse. The views while riding were stunning and we were able to go to some off the beaten path attractions like the Devil's Balcony and the Temple of the Moon. I enjoyed the ride a lot and our guide, Morgan, was great as well. I would definitely recommend this tour to everyone!

Best day ever!!! Book this trip!!
THIS TOUR IS AMAZING!!! If you’re thinking about booking, DO IT NOW. It is hands down one of the most magical tours you can do in Peru! I have actually traveled all over the world and I do horseback riding trips a lot and this is the top one I’ve ever done. This is a family-owners business and they are extremely knowledgeable and speak perfect English and it was just such a special day. From start to finish, Holger and his dad are just so knowledgable, attentive and FUN!!! When I was searching for a tour, I read a lot of reviews, so I want to be as thorough as possible to help anyone else out in the future. Also, they will send a taxi driver to you and he works with the family and he’s just so sweet. I loved spending time with him just as much as riding the horses!

Just a little about my ride: I took my trip solo on March 3, 2021, during the pandemic. This tour is run by a wonderful family with Holger leading the tour and his father joined on our ride. Holger speaks incredible (nearly perfect) English and he’s so, so knowledgable. These horses and this land have been in the family for a very long time and you won’t meet anyone who knows it better than them. Holger’s dad is a teacher and both men really have the gift of teaching. I learned so much during my ride and it’s a journey that I will never, ever forget. They took extreme precautions to make sure everything was sanitized and safe and all of that. As for the trip - WOW. There are no words. I actually got tears a few times because the views were that breathtaking!! The horses are extremely taken care of and they will give you one that matches your skill level. You start on the journey seeing the land. I actually don’t want to tell you everything because that’s part of the fun and surprises. But just know that you’ll see many animals and people in their natural habitat and you’ll see how they live on the land. It made my day to see some tiny children and all the animals roaming the land!! Holger really takes the time to explain the cultural aspect and you’ll come to understand how they live and why it is so important to them. Then along the way, you’ll stop and hike up areas to take in the scenery. I don’t want to ruin all the surprises, so just know that the day is very special. It’s so much more than a horseback ride; it’s truly a cultural and scenic trip, too.

If you’re just arriving in Cusco, I would definitely recommend taking this journey before any other tour because it’s a good solid foundation to understand the area, the people and customs. Also, it’s a good one while you’re getting acclimated to the altitude because the horses do all the hard work. Holger is well-versed in world news and he’s just a cool dude to spend the day with. I will definitely be coming back to use them again. Thank you for a remarkable time and I’ll never, ever forget this day!
