Itinerary

Start the tour with mountain biking atop Malaga mountain (4,350 meters) and a 3-hour descent through meadows, streams, and small villages until the town of Huamanmarca. Enjoy a quick lunch before embarking on a 2-hour rafting trip through class III and IV rapids on the Urubamba River.

Day two begins bright and early with a trek along the river before climbing up towards the original Inca trail and enjoying the rich ecosystems that these landscapes have to offer. View the valley and river below before descending 2.5 hours to the town of Qellomayo for lunch. Continue hiking towards the Cocalmayu hot springs for about 3 hours, strolling past farms and waterfalls.

Explore more of the Urubamba valley on the third day and zip line through the trees to Santa Maria before embarking on the final stretch to the ancient citadel. A bus and a short train ride will bring you to the small village of Aguas Calientes, at the base of Machu Picchu.

An early morning wake up call ensures you will be at the top of the Machu Picchu at dawn and enjoy a short, guided walking tour before catching the train back to Cusco.

Admission to Machu Picchu is included. The only thing not included is if you’d like to ride the bus back down afterward as opposed to hiking down the mountain, which is $12 USD
