What to Expect
This Big Buddha and Lantau Island tour starts with a hotel pickup from either Hong Kong or Kowloon. You’ll be transported to the express ferry, where you’ll cruise from Hong Kong Harbour to Lantau Island. On the island, ride in a comfortable coach to Tai O, and spend some time exploring the fishing village with its over-water stilt houses. Next, travel in a Ngong Ping 360 cable car up to see the Big Buddha and Po Lin (Precious Lotus) Monastery. Enjoy lunch at the monastery. Your Lantau Island tour ends with a drop-off back at your hotel in Hong Kong or Kowloon.

You go way high in gondola cars up the mountain. If you are really fit, you can walk it, but it is steep and far. Or take the cars up and walk down. Gotta be quite fit though!

Ride the glass bottom cable cars. It was very peaceful. Bring a hat. The sun is very bright. Bring a good pair of knees. There are a lot of steps. There are nice restaurants on the groundsMore

Prebook your tickets first as there is bound to be very long queue, if possible, take the glass cable car. nice views but mainly its like an "express" pass as there are significantly lesser people taking the glass cable cars. Very touristy place, and beware...More
