Continue past the Garden of Gethsemane and enter the Old City to see the Western Wall, also called the Wailing Wall.  Cross into the Christian Quarter on your way to the Via Dolorosa, whose 14 stations of the cross lead to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, built on the site where Jesus is believed to have been crucified. Golan view is certainly fascinating
The views from the Golan Heights are amazing. You can see over Sea of Galilee, where the Golan Heights dominates the outlook. There are lots of strategic factors, including religion. The Golan Heights are in the north-east of Israel, it's well worth a tour.

          Horrible experience with Viator
Horrible tour to Valle de Guadalupe We bought a tour to Valle de Guadalupe, from a supposed “Tour company.” They sent us 4 people plus the driver in a 4 persons sedan car, my daughter had to go in the middle for 6 hours. The driver was talking on the phone back and forth, when I told him that I thought it was dangerous for us to do it, he said that he had a lot of experience driving 8 wheelers, so he didn't stop. I don't think it's allowed to take tourists this way. So unprofessional, didn't know anything about the area, he just transported us to the destination in the most uncomfortable and dangerous way. At the last point, the vineyard where they gave us a cheese board, he sat at our table and loudly talked on her cell phone, taking away the only pleasant experience of the entire day. What he did share with us, was all the dangerous places in the area. Although the driver tried, this company is not a professional tour company. We brought a bigger and safer truck, if we had known how bad it would be, we would have left on our own.

          Bad experience!
This tour was badly organized .First we waited outside the hotel for an hour before we were picked up .No one knew where to go .We thought we were finally starting the trip .But we were taken to this hilly top where we waited another hour in a dingy cafe . The tour was rushed as it was getting late .For lunch everyone is taken to this awful resturant with chaos ,substandard food and fighting crowds . Before going into the resturant you have to go thru a shop and they push coupons to you to buy super expensive products . Guide did not have much knowledge or rather one sided knowledge .We were rushed thru Masada which was the main attraction .I asked him a couple of questions breaking his monologue. He did not like it and was very rude . Do not take this tour .If you do bring your own food . It was a waste of money .

Natural beauty and historical sites in the Heights
The Golan Heights is an area of outstanding natural beauty and intriguing historical sites It was captured from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and is now part of Israel. The Golan Heights is of great strategic importance, it has a commanding view of the northern Galilee. Apart from its military value, the Golan is a fertile agricultural region. The trip from Jerusalem to the Golan takes around two hours by car.

Holy sites appeal deeply to believers
The Western Wall, often called the Wailing Wall, is sacred to Jews; other denominations are also welcome. It is adjacent to the wall of the Second Temple, which is all that remains of the Temple. The 4th Century Church of the Sepulcher is the site where Christians traditionally gather to commemorate the site of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sepulcher is also an important destination on the Via Dolorosa, Christ's Way of Suffering. These sites appeal deeply to believers.

This is a wonderful tour and I pray that Israel be able to offer this again in the near future.
Note: We went on this tour on 10/5, 36 hours before the Hamas attack. We really enjoyed the drive from Jerusalem and the stops that we made. Masada was a very interesting sight to behold. My only suggestion is to cut the time spent in Masada by about 30 minutes so you can spend that extra time at the Dead Sea. We got less than 30 minutes there, which was not enough. We floated in the sea for about five minutes and then had to get out and shower off to leave.

Trip operator cancelled last minute and was not helpful
This trip was cancelled haphazardly at the last minute, and the trip operator was not helpful. As such, we did not get to experience this trip. Getting 1 star because 0 stars was not an option.

          Dangerous and not reliable
I was picked up 1 hour later from the hotel During the waiting hour I didn't receive any text or email saying if the tour is cancelled or I still will be picked up After one hour we where dropped off near Western wall and where regrouping again which took another hour During the drive the driver of the bus and the tour guide where discussing the current political citation in Israel (I think it was in Hebrew or Arabic ) and the driver while driving was showing YouTube clips to the guide It was in time of unrest in Israel before the terrorists attack by Hamas We were brought for lunch to overpriced cafeteria with horrible food where they had beef stew on display but served you meat balls The most horrible and unpleasant experience during my whole trip

Trip to masada and dead sea
Dan Porges was the best tour guide, he was very informative, this is our first tour in Jerusalem and we learned a lot from him. We really enjoyed this tour to masada and dead sea, everything was well organized, the ruins in masada national park are amazing, swimming in the dead sea was fun, we floated with no effort, science is proved with no doubt, we are happy we joined this tour.

          Brilliant
Our favourite time on the tour was with our tour guide Avi. Took us into the old city. He was knowledgeable and understanding. I would like to know if Avi is safe. With all the horrors that’s the enfolding in his country. He was a caring man.

Poorly organised! We booked online but never received a confirmation email or phone call. We had to find the tour agency somewhere in Jaffa and the lady who worked there was kind to look us up in the system and tell us where to meet the tour and at what time. Luckily she was able to access the system otherwise we would have missed the tour.

We were picked up at 7AM but only left towards Jerusalem around 9AM because there were a lot of buses gathering in a park in Tel Aviv. Big logistical issues, I am not happy I wasted 2 hours in the morning. They could have told us to meet the bus and the guide at 9AM in the park instead of wasting my 2 hours.

The Jerusalem tour was very quick and we had no time at all to buy any souvenirs even though I expressed my wish to do so. Instead we were rushed to Bethlehem and at the end of the day we were taken to a local shop to buy souvenirs. It was a very expensive shop and I would have appreciated the option to choose my own shop where I could spend my money. Or to visit more than one and then decide where and what I want to buy. I felt forced into buying from that specific shop. Not cool.

The biggest disappointment though was the organisation of the Bethlehem tour. They took us to the Church of Nativity after lunch exactly when the mass started. That meant we were not allowed to visit more than half of the church and we were also not allowed to see the birthplace of Jesus. We were shown a picture though on the guide's phone. If I only wanted to see a photo I could have Googled it instead of travelling all the way to Bethlehem and spending quite a lot of money on the tour. This tour was actually more expensive than my flight to Israel...The guide knew the mass timetable, he should have planned around it.

Apart from these quite a few issues, I am not sorry I visited Jerusalem and Bethlehem, They are really special places and our guide Itamar was informative, friendly and cool. But I am sorry I booked this specific tour with Ben Harim.

Dear Irina, We thank yo for this detailed account of the tour experience you had. There are however some inaccuracies. When you book directly online with Bein Harim you AUTOMATICALLY get an email! It is in booking system. 100s of travelers get confirmation daily, as you saw the volume of travelers. NO doubt you were traveling in the past weeks. Surely you should have seen shortly after booking that no confirmation came through, some email addresses don't get into the system? Regarding the responsibility to find out the waiting place. It is hard to insist that only we are responsible side and therefore to blame. Your initiative to get assistance was very good. You booked a service, follow it up, and make sure you get the info that you require. You joined a group tour at peak high season, therefore there are understandably some delays. There were record volumes of travelers daily, clearly from our GOOD reputation for service and tour experiences. Very inaccurate and unfair as I personally am at the park daily as monitor daily (the lady with orange vest). NO tour EVER left at 9.00 maybe the latest 8.15.. so your time listing is simply is way offend not truthful. There were indeed limitations over those days to do with services in Bethlehem, and the High holy days, that Palestinian Authority implemented for the volumes of visitors. Our guides get their info from the Bethlehem authorities. Itamar is one of the most professional and excellent guides on our team and 100s of 5 star reviews just before yours claim this. There are always complaints about shopping, it's a group tour, and either way we are blamed for allowing or not allowing opportunities to wonder off. We choose not to allow so as people get lost and the delay an entire group. Fact! And with much experience in this over 25 years of group tour services, we can say it's simply not that kind of tour, that can allow for independent separation from the group. We are regretful that you felt the way you did. Luckily we have 100s of very satisfied travelers daily to reiterate we offer services of a high standard, organised and professional. We have chosen to answer in detail as much of what you wrote is very much related to the very specific and very busy days these last weeks. We accept criticism but at least be fair and accurate, when it comes to operational issues. Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

A long overdue review.... I always wanted to but didn't find the time until now. I often look back to the trip in November, seeing Itamar as he called each and everyone on the bus. He shared the new joy of Arthur's being again a proud grandfather and read the bible as Arthur delivered smooth bus ride on what I think back as a magical journey through the Holy Land. Martin was our PA guide and did a great job. None of us was ever lost among the at times large crowd we meander through. If you ever have the chance to visit, be sure to check Bein Harim in advance. We were lucky to book last minute through Sheraton Tel-Aviv. If time permits, definitely do the most complete day tour pack. We shy away from the Dead Sea due to time constraint as well as no small bus option. The small bus group option worked perfectly for us.

Despite the rain, the day trip to Jerusalem and Bethlehem was a memorable experience largely thanks to the enthusiasm of our guide Yoav Malachi. The tour itself covers the Church of the Nativity and the classic Christian sites in Jerusalem. What made the tour unique was Yoav's entertaining and informing guiding style and his broad knowledge on the combination of tradition and modernity in Israel. My wife and I really enjoyed our chats with him during the tour.

The logistics in both Israel and the West Bank were also very good without significant delays.

We went on a Saturday, so the Temple Mount was closed but It would be a nice-to-have if the Temple Mount could be included by extending the tour by one hour and shortening the lunch.

Thanks Piet for posting this 5-star rave review of your tour and our guide Yoav. He indeed deserves your favorable feedback for his investment in his group of travelers. Having them feel at home with him, while providing interesting commentary and managing the tour skillfully through his vast experience. He embodies a most engaging , amicable and friendly manner, always favored by those in his company. We appreciate your mention regarding the smooth logistics and operation of the tour throughout the day. Temple Mt visits are a matter we consider, and do so in another tour.It is not always possible and often under various closures. Lunch break is the standard 45-mins to an hour depending on the size of the group. Hope to see you travel with Bein Harim again sometime soon.

Great tour, but our poor tour guide was put under pressure by HQ organisation.

It was a whirlwind tour, so you get to see a lot in one day, it’s busy 28 people, and if everyone doesn’t stay together the guide has to keep counting everyone to make sure we’re altogether. The issue is that rather than just having the same group all day, people join and leave depending on the tour they have signed up for.
It makes it stressful for the guides and 1 person almost got left behind as our guide was expecting 29 rather than 30.

By the end of the day you realise why the rushing is important. We were 40mins behind schedule and almost missed seeing the Grotto at Bethlehem, luckily our guide managed to get us all to the front of the queue quite craftily - some might say expertly done! The doors were closed just behind our group as a mass was due to start.

Thanks for sharing that overall you were satisfied with the guide.tour combinations are a complex logistic and however much we try for it to be smooth, there are delays. Indeed group volumes are a factor.iti is not always easy to manage everyone and thieri own pace.. This is very much due to post Covid era, and until we can manage the , both transportation wise and manpower wise to privide "Only one destination tours ". The same issue with the dual luanguage tours. Neverthess you did see everything a on itinterary and for that we are glad you had a memorable tour experience. thanks; for tihs post and also bringing to light issues that need to be adressed .You gave the credit where due to your guide and for this we are appreciative.

The whole day was amazing and Norbert the guide was just fantastic. He had the right balance of giving information of what we were seeing and letting us enjoy the experience. We would recommend this tour to anyone as you really got to see the main points of interest across bethlehem and Jerusalem whixh were incredible. He made you feel safe going through to the Palestinian area and reassured you with what would happen across the dsy. It was good value for the money.

5 stars for a well organised trip with many different visits to different places centered around Christianity.

We were picked up 7:15 at our hotel and returned to the same place at 18:30. We really appreciated this as we saw that other tours did not provide this service.

Yoav was the catalyst for a very enlightening and entertaining trip around the holy sites of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. He had a very large knowledge of everything he showed us, and could answer all of our questions. He also seemed to know almost all of the locals we passed by?

By the end of the day he made sure everyone got back to their hotels safely. Either by taxi to the more distant hotel or in the tourbus. He also gave recommedations for restaurants to eat at during the ride back to Tel Aviv.

The only downside of the tour was the lunch. We were kind of forced to eat at a specific place together. In our opinion this restaurant served mediocre food at expensive rates.

But Yoav’s enthusiasm made up for the bad experience at the restaurant. Which is why the rating of 5 stars remains.

Thanks, Kirstines2015, for sharing your 5-star rating for the tour with our fantastic guide Yoav. Your special mention of the pick-up/drop off procedure is much appreciated. As for the lunch - we eat at a location that caters for tourist groups. They try to offer tasty and fresh food and the service that is prompt and suits all travelers’ budgets. No Jerusalem restaurant will just take in a group of 15 or 40 travelers without prior notice. Regrettably, we cannot let travelers wander off on their own in the labyrinth of the Old City during this tour, as they are bound to get lost and cause delays, most want to eat in an organized manner. No one is forced to eat there though. Your appreciation of Yoav's professional and personal enlightening input to the day no doubt made this a memorable tour experience to cherish. Thank you very much for the recommendation of our services. Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

I would not suggest this tour or going to Bethlehem!
We had to transfer from a good quality bus to a rundown bud.
The tour guide for Bethlehem told off color jokes no one appreciated. It was like he did not take his job seriously.
They took us to lunch at a cafeteria for 70 shekels which was ridiculous.
The worst part of all was the “Christian shop “ at the end of the tour.

Once we left the shop there was a guy (grifter) outside. He shoved what he said we’re gifts into our hands and bag. It took a second to understand what was going on. Give you a gift then ask for money. He blocked out way to the bus and kept asking “come on buddy one more for my kids…..you don’t want me to lose do you”. Once we pushed past and got on the bus he followed us and was harassing all the tourists asking for money. The guide allowed this to happen which can old make you believe this is part of their process to take money from tourists.

The company guided tourists into a dangerous situation where people targeted them and tried to intimidate them into giving money.

        My advice:

        1. If you go do not get off the bus at the shop. You can get everything you want cheaper elsewhere. Nothing special that you can’t get anywhere else cheaper.
        2. When leaving if anybody tries to hand you anything you did not pay for do not take it or give it back. If they shove it in your bag take it out and give it back.
        3. If they ask for money say NO and push your way past whoever it is, they will try to block you, and get back on the bus. If you give them a single dime they will continue to ask for more.

And now for the Good part

The Bus from Tel Aviv and for Jerusalem was nice. The tour guide in Jerusalem (Avi) was very good and professional. He showed us everything with great detail and comments. We saw what we wanted to see in Jerusalem. I liked that our primary tour guide.

Dear Tjsaprilia1, As I mentioned below to your friend, encounters with the local population is not something we have control over. Touristic sites world-wide are full with opportunists trying their luck with travelers. We very much understand that this is not a pleasant experience, but again, it has nothing to do with our company. We are happy to know you enjoyed the rest of the tour and the guide. As for the Bethlehem guide - we would love to get more details about your reservation in order to investigate and to make things right. Please contact our office.

I highly recommend this day tour and in particular the tour guide Tomer Glick.

Not only did I see all the "bucket list" items that I wanted to see during the day but I also learned many new things along the way from our very knowledgable tour guide Tomer who speaks excellent English and has a real depth of knowledge of history and other things as well.

Nothing was too much trouble for him during a long day and he also gave us a running commentary on the bus of various interesting things along the way. He has great positive energy, is a good communicator with a nice sense of humour and was also very patient and caring in keeping our group of many different nationalities safely together. He always made sure that nobody was forgotten or got lost when we went off to explore on our own at various points.

He is also very humble because it turned out that he is quite famous in Israel due to his acting in a couple of legendary McDonald's TV ads. Quite as few local people recognised him during the day despite him trying to hide his identity under a cap!

We have booked this trip from Tel Aviv. Ca 1 hour it took to gather all participants of the trip to main bus. We where picked up from central hotel by taxi. First destination was Bethlehem. With the driving time, shop visit and lunch, from official tour start at 7:15 till 1pm we had only visited one object - church of the Nativity. We had one walking tour in Jerusalem with visit to church of Holy Sepulchre and Western Wall, also we have walked part of Via Dolorosa street (from V to VII), muslim and christian districts and Ethiopian church yard. Many times we heard, that if you like to visit object, you can do it by yourself, because of waiting time in the lines. I would say, that I have missed more information and deeper understanding about all objects and areas we have visited. Other objects where shown to us through the windows. In general - during the 11 hour trip, max4 hours of walking. Our trip was safe, bus good and driver very professional.

Dear Liama We are glad taht overall you were satified with the tour and your guide, as it seems you visited all the locations on the tour intinerary. You were traveling (if in the last 10 days the nyou encounteres teh record volumes of travelers, even for us, ands yes not much delay, most mroninngs the trs deprted by 8.00am WHen you get fetched at the hotel ,that is a free pickup to tour outset point.,Therefore it is unfair to list it as if you were delayed!! You were not. It is a matter of your misunderstanding as if the tour begins at your hotel.. Due to visitor overload the church does not allow guiding inside and, yes, long lines of package tours travelers await going into the Vault in Bethlehem and the cave in Jerusalem, thus it is overcrowded. We specifically state we cannot wait on our tour shedule when lines encountered, at these locations take longer than 1 hr!! Certain areas have to be done through travelling on ones own,It is a group tour that tries to cover the highlights , even in the High Holy day season. Pity no mention of the name of your guide to get recognition for his efforts. Your mention of the safe driving is much appreciated.

The tour was great. It's virtually impossible to see more in only a day. It's perfect for everyone who wants a general tour of Jerusalem and Bethlehem but be ready to see everything in a rush mode. There will be no time for souvenirs or something like that although you are shoved in a Elvis Presley Cafe and a selected overpriced shop for more than a hour. The guide, Hava, has a lot of knowledge but we only gave 4 stars because the tour is very biased, politically and socially and sometimes insulting to others who are not israeli.

We are pleased you had a good tour and saw the sites according to the itinerary with our guide Hava. She is highly knowledgeable. The shop stop is for the bathroom as well. Some travelers do like to purchase items though, this being their only opportunity. It is not clear what you infer about the tour being biased or the commentary provided. Yes, the main emphasis is on Christian sites and some Jewish only If this is your indication. It should certainly not come across as insulting in any way..
