Great tour, it was 3 hours. Alex, our tour guide is a very knowledgeable person and made it such an interesting tour, talked about history, the Bible, and experiences. At the end of the tour he explain different ways to get back to the city or we could walk down with him to Damascus Gate. I highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky maybe get Alex as the tour guide, he is amazing!! Thank you Alex!!

Took a group pic, immediately bussed to the sites. Dror was a fantastic guide. He explained the history behind the sites, interesting facts that I had never even thought about asking but were really informative. Even after the tour, on the walk back from Lion's Gate --> Jaffa Gate, & during a meal afterwards, he was explaining things & just very friendly.

Booked this tour during passover. Sandemans has no control over the large volume of crowds during the holiday, but could control group size if they chose to. We had about 35 people on our tour and the tour leader was unequipped to deal with this size group. Booking a larger bus only gets people to the top of the mount... it's still hard to talk to and organize a group over 20 given the nature of the sites.

We got off the bus and waited 15 minutes for people to buy water at her suggestion.

We then went to the first site just as a group was leaving, where Shir provided 20 minutes of background, and then gave us 5 minutes to go into the building. By that point two tour groups had shown up of about 50 people had shown up, so the site was crowded and we had to wait to go in.

The next few sites were the same. Shir had a very hard time corralling the group, so much time was spent waiting for people to join us so we could go to the next site.

Ultimately I chose to leave the walking tour and finish it independently. It was just too frustrating.

Dror was brilliant as he was very explanatory during the tour telling us all the details about the Mount of Olives, Jerusalem and all the history / politics / religion about it.

I highly recommend doing this tour with him as also is good fun and the 3-4 hours get quite short in the end!

Booked this tour via TripAdvisor for a company called Sandeman new jerusalem tour couple of weeks in advance. Got the confirmation on purchase.

Day before the tour- got a confirmation via TripAdvisor.

On arrival at church 2pm- there was another tour of the city by the company and the tour guide Hagar informed that the tours were no longer taking place due to transportation issues.

I showed her the confirmation and the email sent the day before and she then sent them a message which I am yet to hear back from.

Poor communication- if informed the day before, could have organised another tour.

Also do not sell tour tickets for tours that have been cancelled.

My wife and I went to Jerusalem's Mount of Olives Tour (pay tour) and we found everythign perfect. Our guide, Anna, explained everything with too much enthusiasm and very chronologically that made us understand everything perfectly. After a reaserch we found that: making this tour and the Jerusalem's Holy City Tour you have pretty much covered all the things to do in Jerusalen.Totally recommended!
