- 301JuneH00Wonderful to see both placesMasada and the Dead Sea were both amazing. We booked the small group tour but it was very expensive. We were shuttled between drivers a couple of times because guests came from Tele Aviv and Jerusalem and had to change buses for return. Next time I would probably take two different much cheaper half day tours.
- Global79832900Trip of a lifetimeAmazing history that you read about but to see it first hand is jaw dropping and overwhelming at the same time. To walk the same steps as ancient civilizations is a remarkable experience. Our guide brought the centuries old history to life. Sorry we did not come sooner.
- Jennifer H00Rushed toursBoth tours were very rushed but for me, one tour was nicer and the other tour was terrible. Maybe choose a tour w not so much crammed in. Lesson learned. Both tours steer you to shop their far overpriced gift shops. The nice tour was to Masada and the Dead Sea. The tour guide and driver were very nice and knowledgeable and I throughly enjoyed the tour. The second tour, a biblical tour to Nazareth/Sea of Galilee and Jordyn river was terrible. First the tour guide was agnostic and in my opinion dismissive, rude, very controlling and very detached from the groups needs. I think that a biblical tour would be best optimized by a believer of what they are presenting. This tour also did allow for any shop options other than the one they steer you to despite the massive price difference. All in all I would recommend the Masada/Dead Sea tour but not recommend the biblical tour with this company. Also, would caution shopping any of the gift shops they promote. I promise you will find the exact or similar items for well over half the price elsewhere.
- Meander0908478101300Amazing Israel ExperienceWe booked out tour through Shalom Israeli Tours and from the very beginning every single detail was perfect. We were on the 10 day Jewish Heritage tour. When we met our guide Meni Tzabari, we knew we had found somebody special. He was fun, witty, had a great sense of humor and made lots of jokes. His personalized attention to detail with his breadth of knowledge was infectious and he would encourage us to listen, learn and be part of all conversations. He went over and above to make sure that everybody was comfortable, and having a good time. A few people had trouble with some of the walking and he would wait for them, hold their hand and make sure they were safe. He also made my daughter and I feel incredibly safe while touring Israel due to his knowledge and the fact that he is also a police officer. He truly cared about what he was teaching us and what we were seeing as well as he cared about every individual on our tour. When I return to Israel, I hope to use Meni again for my touring.
- O9157KHshawnc00More about giving to local economy rather than learnThe guide never finished her thoughts , the ax in the van did not cool off the van. The driver complained of the vans transmission problems. Your was very rushed only allowed to use restroom 1 time. Then brought to a restaurant for lunch around 2 pm and rushed to leave. The buffet was very expensive and the drinks were not included. The guide told us to tip these people. But I get it was very poor of this company. Went on a tour with a competitor a few days back and had such a better experience and atmosphere. Rent a guide in Israel is all about taking tourist money , rushing and making more by patronizing businesses who give money or things back to rent a guide
- colinb89400ExcellentWe did the Jerusalem/Bethlehem tour and the Galilee /Nazareth tour and they were both excellent from pick up at our hotel to drop off , friendly , professional , informative …
- S3282ZFbrucep00Good not greatThis was two languages, meaning there were 12 Spanish speakers and us. The guide had to repeat everything in two languages and we couldn’t communicate with most of the group or hear their questions. Not ideal. The guide was knowledgeable, but it just didn’t feel the emotional experience. The Dead Sea experience was great. Kind of unexpected that we had to sit through a sales presentation from a local cosmetic company who made products from Dead Sea, but we enjoyed .it anyway. The lunch stop was also disappointing. . Finally, if we hadn’t called, we would not have been at the right pickup spot. Guess we won’t use these again.
- Sightsee22749800Tour to Masada and The Dead SeaHad a great trip with our guide Jerry. Masada was a very interesting place to visit. The views were amazing. And we really enjoyed our swim in The Dead Sea. It was really nice to be with our small group instead of the large buses that were there.
- colinb89400ExcellentWe had a great experience and learnt a lot from Hava Dorany our guide , was picked up promptly at hotel and enjoyed stops at Nazareth, Magido, Sea of Galilee, River Jordan , great atmosphere , professional , friendly, knowledgeable, the Jerusalem tour was also great …
- marymia198000ExcellentVery knowledgeable and enjoyed the tour. Hava made for a fun day! Lots of smiles and laughter! would highly recommended Hava! Thanks again Hava! Mary C

- Yuka M00Amazing Israel tour with Meni T!!I had a family trip to Israel for two weeks and had Mr.Meni T from Rent-a-Guide. He was the most knowledgeable guide I had ever met in my life. Not only did he explain to us about Judaism, culture and Israeli customs, but he also told us about geographic characters, tribes and Israeli people's life. Whatever I see through the window on a bus, Mr. Meni starts to talk outside views. It was non-stop knowledgeable explanations from him. By his time-organized guide, we were able to avoid all busy traffic and had enough shade on each location. I sincerely thank Mr. Meni for our safe amazing trip.
- fraychel00Spiritually Amazing!I have never visited Israel before, but came recently as a part of a conference. Since I had some free time, I booked this tour which was recommended by the conference organizers. My tour guide was Daniel and he was a humble yet wonderfully knowledgeable guide, providing in-depth historical and Biblical (both Old and New Testament) context to the places we were visiting. Not only that, he has been doing this a while, so he knows the staff at each site almost like family. We felt like part of family as a part of the tour! Note that it is a long tour because of the distance to drive and traffic. I departed from my pickup at 6 AM and returned at 7 PM - a testament to Daniel's driving / endurance. Also note that you may possibly transfer from your pickup shuttle to the tour shuttle. With that, sites visited included Nazareth - The Basilica of the Annunciation - Saint Joseph's Church - (Time Permitting) Synagogue Church - Time for souvenir purchasing The Yardenit Cana - (Time Permitting) the Church where Jesus turned water into wine Tabgha - The Church where Jesus fed the 5,000 with five loaves and two fishes Capernaum - The Church built upon the home of Simon Peter - The Sea of Galilee Magdal - Lunch with 'St. Peter's Fish'
- Susan H00Meni Tzabari our guide to our Jewish Heritage Tour of IsraelMeni Tzubori was our guide on the 14 day Ayelet Jewish Heritage Tour of Israel I can’t say enough about what a superb guide Is Meni. Very considerate, thoughtful and extremely knowledgeable about all the sites we saw. He always answered our questions and also explained the differences between Israeli customs and those in America. Meni picked us up promptly and kept us on schedule in addition to the agenda he always had a surprise site to see. He made certain that we bought from ‘kosher’ state run stores that were honourable and gave us fair prices. Meni has a wonderful sense of humour and could handle the most difficult traveller with grace and warmth and always nicely with control. We had a wonderful experience on our journey and Meni made it so
- hoff1066002023 Family Trip to IsraelMeni Tzubari has been the best tour guide I've ever had. I actually don't normally like taking formal tours and usually like going on my own. However Meni Tzubari was extremely knowledgeable about every place we toured. His knowledge and entertaining style made my children excited to learn about their Jewish heritage. I highly recommend using Rent A Guide and Meni Tzubari in particular.

i have been on many tours in israel and this was the only one where i spent more time waiting for a late bus, a late guide, several late tourists... our tour was cut short by several hours because of this. how is this possible? why was this okay don't know. there were no apologies, no rainchecks, just a waste of half a day of a precious too short vacation. the guide that we had, was also, the most boring, self indulgent guide i have had the displeasure to be trapped with. do not remember his name. avoid these people.

Had a 7 day guided tour with Rent A Guide and everything was fantastic, with pleasant guides prompt pick up and drop off at my hotel. However, on Thursday May 3rd, the bus did not pick me outside my hotel inspite of my waiting outside half an hour before the due time. The company was very apologetic and promptly rushed a taxi to pick me up and drop me to a point midway between Jerusalem where they had another of their guides take on the tour in private and this guide was extremely courteous and showed me many places that normally are not included.

Had the pleasure of taking the Jerusalem tour with Sylvia. What do you want from a tour guide? Knowledge, enthusiasm, a passion for the subject and to engage with you and bring the tour to life. Sylvia and this tour ticked all the boxes drawing in even my initially less than enthusiastic teenage son into a day that he will remember. Thanks again.

Visiting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem with a guide is very interesting and doing it with Ines Stiller (Italian mother tongue) even more, thanks to her competency and warmth: her descriptions are full of details covering a wide spectrum of Israeli culture.
Nice way to discover the country, also for teenagers!
...and very good suggestions on restaurants where we could taste traditional food.
Thank you Ines!

When I looked at all the places we going to visit I thought it will be impossible to see so much in one day. We did it. Nedal our guide was awesome. Gave a lot of information but we were hanging on to his lips the whole day as everything we saw was so special. Thanks Nedal for a very special day.

I took the trip to Jerusalem on February 4, 2019. I was told to wait for a bus that never came. A taxi came to pick me up. When we arrived to Jerusalem, I found out that they
connected different excursions to historic sites in Jerusalem and the Holocaust Museum. At the museum, the guide just sent us in and he remained in the car. No one came to guide us in the museum. We were left to wander on our own and not given a lot of time.
We were told to be back in 1.5 hours. As a result everything was rushed. We later went to Eastern part of Jerusalem where we were rushed into many areas that left us
no time to really understand the history of the area. The guide also took us to some eateries that were very expensive. In total I would not use them again.

Hi, you can book Jerusalem full day tour because it also includes other parts of Jerusalem you did not see beside the Via Dolorosa. Fyi, it will include Via Dolorosa though but just for two hours only. The rest will be new.
does this tour take on a walk to all of the 14 stations of the Via Dolora or only some of them?

This tour does not....in a limited time it gives you a brief experience of all Christian/Jewish/Muslim holy sites. It gives you a great foundation so you can come back to the old city and feel comfortable exploring on your own. If you are short on time it is best to find a Christian based tour that will focus on the stations and the Church of the Holy Seplacur
