Old Jerusalem Full-Day Tour
By Bein Harim Tourism Services
About
Visit Jerusalem’s holy sites on a full-day tour that explores Jewish, Christian, and Muslim heritage. Winding streets in the Old City mean it can be hard to get your bearings, but this tour starts with a drive to the Mount of Olives for big views across the historic center. After that, a walking tour explores the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Via Dolorosa, Western Wall (Wailing Wall), and more.

About the operator
- 619jeffry00Natural beauty and historical sites in the HeightsThe Golan Heights is an area of outstanding natural beauty and intriguing historical sites It was captured from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and is now part of Israel. The Golan Heights is of great strategic importance, it has a commanding view of the northern Galilee. Apart from its military value, the Golan is a fertile agricultural region. The trip from Jerusalem to the Golan takes around two hours by car.
- 619jeffry00Holy sites appeal deeply to believersThe Western Wall, often called the Wailing Wall, is sacred to Jews; other denominations are also welcome. It is adjacent to the wall of the Second Temple, which is all that remains of the Temple. The 4th Century Church of the Sepulcher is the site where Christians traditionally gather to commemorate the site of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sepulcher is also an important destination on the Via Dolorosa, Christ's Way of Suffering. These sites appeal deeply to believers.
- sheri091500This is a wonderful tour and I pray that Israel be able to offer this again in the near future.Note: We went on this tour on 10/5, 36 hours before the Hamas attack. We really enjoyed the drive from Jerusalem and the stops that we made. Masada was a very interesting sight to behold. My only suggestion is to cut the time spent in Masada by about 30 minutes so you can spend that extra time at the Dead Sea. We got less than 30 minutes there, which was not enough. We floated in the sea for about five minutes and then had to get out and shower off to leave.
- Roxanne B00Trip operator cancelled last minute and was not helpfulThis trip was cancelled haphazardly at the last minute, and the trip operator was not helpful. As such, we did not get to experience this trip. Getting 1 star because 0 stars was not an option.
- vaiciunas9900In the Footsteps of JesusThe tour was very well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend
- annamO2966LV00Dangerous and not reliableI was picked up 1 hour later from the hotel During the waiting hour I didn't receive any text or email saying if the tour is cancelled or I still will be picked up After one hour we where dropped off near Western wall and where regrouping again which took another hour During the drive the driver of the bus and the tour guide where discussing the current political citation in Israel (I think it was in Hebrew or Arabic ) and the driver while driving was showing YouTube clips to the guide It was in time of unrest in Israel before the terrorists attack by Hamas We were brought for lunch to overpriced cafeteria with horrible food where they had beef stew on display but served you meat balls The most horrible and unpleasant experience during my whole trip
- Vilma A00Trip to masada and dead seaDan Porges was the best tour guide, he was very informative, this is our first tour in Jerusalem and we learned a lot from him. We really enjoyed this tour to masada and dead sea, everything was well organized, the ruins in masada national park are amazing, swimming in the dead sea was fun, we floated with no effort, science is proved with no doubt, we are happy we joined this tour.
- diannes51400BrilliantOur favourite time on the tour was with our tour guide Avi. Took us into the old city. He was knowledgeable and understanding. I would like to know if Avi is safe. With all the horrors that’s the enfolding in his country. He was a caring man.
- jamiee75400Dan Porges was a great guide at MasadaGreat day, well-organized. The bus was not at the pick up hotel right when it was supposed to be, maybe 10 minutes late, which made us nervous, but they eventually arrived. Dan was a fun and knowledgable guide. The place where you go to the Dead Sea is a sort of private/public beach - a lot of stairs down to the sea, not the cleanest place I've gone into the Dead Sea from, but it was fine. Overall, recommended.
- Tim S00Good tour with a knowledgeable guideI it is impossible to spend as much time in a site as you would like to when you only have a couple of days to hit the highlights. Dan Porges did an excellent job of knowing this and using every available minute tobring to life the Old and New Testaments accounts of these areas. The coach was comfort able, the agenda was well planned out and adhered to. My only complaint was the number of shops that always seemed present. However, I never felt pressured to purchase anything. I know some people enjoy that but it is a waste of time for me. If you take this opportunity our with Dan you will learn much and have a delightful time.
- Jean J00EXCELLENTIt was an organized and well-explained tour. Dan has excellent knowledge of every place he took us. He always refers to bible scriptures, which I am familiar with. It helps us understand from the beginning Hashem's plans for humankind. Thank you, Dan and the Driver who tooks us every where safely.
- Ferret9900First Class response to a difficult situation. Totally RecommendedWe were unfortunate enough to be in Israel when the Hamas attack took place. We had just boarded our BeinHarim Tour bus and were headed for our first stop when the guide received the telephone call and we had to abandon the tour and be taken back to our Cruise Ship. BeinHarim were top class throughout. They got us back safely and then, as we had booked direct through them, processed full refunds for us for both this tour and the one we had booked two days later to Jerusalem from Ashdod. The refunds were back on my card within 3 days. I will certainly use BeinHarim again when I return to Israel to complete the tours I was unable to take this time around. First Class Customer Service
- D1514HLdoral00AmazingShachar led us on this journey. He is excellent, his knowledge and love of archeology made this trip come to live. We highly recommend Shachar and his company.
- Roving3509985627800Guided tour to Bethlehem and Jerusalem with ItamarI have been to Israel several times, but never in the Palestiaian areas - not until this summer. I signed up with the tour to Bethelehem, and was invited by the guide to join the rest of the group that was travelling further to Jerusalem. This was an amazing experience. Itamar was very knowlegdeble, this also goes for the palestinian guide - who also spoke several languages. The bus driver was also a very nice man. All these people, made the experience even better. The trip was well organized and despite travelling alone, I felt safe the whole time. Originally, I was planning to visit Jerusalem alone. However, I´m glad I didn´t. I´d get lost, and in addition miss a lot of relevant information about the different places. I have nothing to complain about and will really recommend Bein Harim Tourism Service.
- anelieset2200Very professionalWe were booked onto this trip today (07/10) we were picked up on time but didn't make the destinations due to the war breaking out on route to Jerusalem. We want to thank our tour guide Roy & the driver of the coach for keeping us safe whilst the rockets flew over & bombs were going off. To say they were professional is an understatement. They kept everyone calm & informed throughout.

Ari did a great job supporting both English and French tourists. He also got us to go through the Church of Holy Sepulcher before it got completely crowded. The only thing to keep in mind is the description included the Via Dolorosa but it's not the entire Via Dolorosa. We came back a few days later and did the entire Via Dolorosa on our own.

Thanks very much for this rave review of 5 stars of our tour guided by Avi.
We are so thrilled you came away with a memorable, enlightening and enjoyable experience.
He deserves your acknowledgement for the great job he did.
Indeed it is not possible to follow all the stations, and wisely so, you returned to do it fully at a later stage, but already had some orientation.
Hope to see you again some time.

This tour was excellent. It was recommended by an acquaintance that does private tours but was away when I was visiting. I only had a few days in Jerusalem, had a lot of things that I wanted to see; and this tour covered them all. Our guide, Liat, was very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Also, I wasn’t sure what to expect since I was touring on a Saturday (Shabbat), but we really still had access to everything. It was excellent. Thank you.

The tour was actually very well organised, at least for us. The pick-up spot was local and very close, and we were fortunate to get one of the mini-bus tours (16 people) rather than the large bus. We were also very fortunate to have Norburt as our guide, as he was enthusiastic, funny, and very fluent!
We booked our tour for a Saturday, which meant traffic was low, and he took us around to see a few 'extra' things on the way back, after completing what was considered the whole tour.
Everything was done quite well, except for one complaint. I was interested in getting souvenirs, and would have liked a bit of time to shop in the marketplace. The tour company arranged for us to have about 10 minutes or so to shop in one of the "Ministry of Tourism Approved" places. I found them high-priced and pushy, and did not enjoy that part of my experience.
However, I am rating the tour itself, not the shopping. The tour was amazing and informative, so that gets the five-star rating from me!
Be aware, though...it is a lot of walking, including over uneven pavement and stones, up uneven stairs, and for June, it was also hot. Just keep that in mind.

Thanks for this honest review of your satisfaction of the tour guided by Norbert. He sure is worthy of your praise and feedback.
We are always happy to read when travelers come away with
a memorable and enlightening tour experience.
We do have a designated shop stop, as we cannot let travelers wander off on their own in the Old city. as inevitably always get lost, and cause delays todisrupt tour shedule.
Yes it hot in June, and the Old CIty is crowded indeed.

Liat our tour guide was so well prepared to guide our group thru Old Jerusalem and educate on the holy sites. Her delivery is clean, it was like listening to an audio book. She speaks 5 languages fluently and said the same info in English and Spanish. What a wonderful way to spend a day being filled with history and blessings. I will request her to be my guide when I book another tour.

I went on this tour with a friend and had a fantastic time. Itamar was our tour guide and did a fantastic job guiding us through the old city. I feel like without Itamar this tour just wouldn’t have been the same. I’ve been on a tour of Jerusalem before, but this one was much better! Abraham was also our driver and did a great job getting us to and from Tel Aviv. Highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We were fortunate to have Shmil Afias as our guide to both Old Jerusalem and to the Sea of Galilee tour. He explained many, many interesting aspects of Israel to us, which enriched our experience a great deal. His knowledge and enthusiasm ensured that we had two wonderful days - days which our group will never forget. I highly recommend Shmil Afias as a Guide.

I booked a day tour to the old city of Jerusalem with Tourist Isreal and found myself on a Ben Harim tour with our incredibly charismatic and knowledgeable guide, Norbert. He is a talented story teller, weaving history in with anecdotes and humor, making for a really interesting and informative tour. Our bus driver, Avy, was also delightful, keeping us safe and on time. If I'm ever back in Israel, I'd definitely book directly with Ben Harim Tours.

We had a great time with Lorne Newman (our guide)! His archaeological and historical knowledge was essential for us to understand "Old Jerusalem". Since we asked for an English speaking tour, the fact that he is a native English speaking guide was super!!!!
If we ever come to Jerusalem or Tel Aviv, we surely will ask Lorne as a guide! And we will surely come back!

Very good the guide. I dont give a 5 because of the lunch, not well organized, bad food if you dont ask for the buffet and bad service.
