About
Visit Jerusalem’s holy sites on a full-day tour that explores Jewish, Christian, and Muslim heritage. Winding streets in the Old City mean it can be hard to get your bearings, but this tour starts with a drive to the Mount of Olives for big views across the historic center. After that, a walking tour explores the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Via Dolorosa, Western Wall (Wailing Wall), and more.

Highlights
  • Cover key Old City sites in a single day by coach and on foot
  • Stay cool during transfers by climate-controlled vehicle
  • Retrace Jesus’ route along the Via Dolorosa
  • Convenient pickup and drop-off at Jerusalem hotels
What to expect
  • This full-day tour begins with a Jerusalem hotel pickup in an air-conditioned coach. Begin on a high note at the Mount of Olives for a scenic overview of the entire city of Jerusalem. East of the Old City of Jerusalem, this mountain ridge is named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. According to the gospels, a number of important events in the life of Jesus occurred here, including where he ascended into heaven. The Mount has been a site of Christian worship since ancient times and continues to be a place of pilgrimage for Eastern Orthodox, Catholic, and Protestant believers. Next, visit the Last Supper Room, where Jesus shared the Last Supper with his disciples, and see David’s tomb, the burial place of David, the King of Israel. Continue into the Jewish Quarter, visit the Western Wall, or Wailing Wall, the holiest of Jewish sites. Further along in the Christian Quarter, walk the Via Dolorosa, the street that Jesus walked on the way to his crucifixion. Here, look for the 14 stations of the cross while retracing Jesus’ steps to the Hill of Calvary, at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Also, see the Stone of the Anointing, where Jesus was believed to have been placed before his burial. Finally, spend some time in the Old City’s marketplace shopping for mementos and gifts from this remarkable adventure. Then, board the coach for a return trip to the Jerusalem hotels.

Very informative first look at the Old City
Mar 2020
Ari did a great job supporting both English and French tourists. He also got us to go through the Church of Holy Sepulcher before it got completely crowded. The only thing to keep in mind is the description included the Via Dolorosa but it's not the entire Via Dolorosa. We came back a few days later and did the entire Via Dolorosa on our own.

Thanks very much for this rave review of 5 stars of our tour guided by Avi. We are so thrilled you came away with a memorable, enlightening and enjoyable experience. He deserves your acknowledgement for the great job he did. Indeed it is not possible to follow all the stations, and wisely so, you returned to do it fully at a later stage, but already had some orientation. Hope to see you again some time.

The trip of our life, checked on our bukcet list
Dec 2019
Jerusalem is and impressive city. For Christians is a place to visit at least once in a life time. we are very happy we did it. We spent 10 days in Israel and made the best of it by visiting all the Sacred and historical places. Israel is a small country but there is so much to see that 10 days were short. We hope we can go back some time soon.
Our personal guide on the day we visited the Old City (Sunday, Dec. 8th) was awesome! His name is Andrew Lara, and he made the best of our visit even on a rainy day like the one we had. I would recommend to find him and have him guide you specially through the historical places in Jerusalem. He knows history very well and likes to answer all your questions. I hope you can find his name in the list of guides in Israel.

Tour #11 Jerusalem Old and New
Oct 2019
Highlights - we were able to see a large number of the significant sights in Old Jerusalem, including the Western Wall where we left prayer notes, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, several of the Stations of the Cross, the Tomb of King David, and the Room of the Last Supper. We walked through large portions of the Christian, Jewish, and Armenian Quarters. Also, since it was a Friday and the Holocaust Museum was closed, we instead went to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane. It was wonderful to be able to see so many significant historical sites, both Christian and Jewish.

Not so good - In order to see so many sights in just one day, we had to walk very quickly, and were not able to spend much time at any of the sights. Next time, I will choose a tour that focuses on fewer sights, perhaps the Footsteps of Jesus tour. Also, I would have liked more time to visit the markets. We only stopped in one shop, and only for a few minutes.

Overall, though, I think Bein Harim did a wonderful job. Our guide, Danny Binshtok, was very knowledgeable and provided an interesting and informative commentary. He was able to describe the significance of the sites to all three main religions. The bus ride from Tel Aviv was comfortable and our driver kept us safe. I will definitely choose Bein Harim tours again.

Greetings Catherine Many thanks for this detailed account of your tour, highlighting the issue that needs attention. Some time the shedule does move promptly , it also depends onthe group size, the crowded ness at the locations. But moreover it is a first time orientation kind of tour and definitely for those wishing time , one needs to return alone, to explore and spend time accordingly. Thanks for mentioning the comfortable and safe drive and your appreciation of our guide Danny B.He sure deserves such feedback for the great job he does, providing interesting and informative commentary and overall efficient and smooth tour management. Your sincere recommendation of our service is much appreciated. Daily we strive to provide a service for our travelers to the highest standard, giving them a memorable and excellent tour exprience.

Lots of walking, but also lots of history!
Jun 2019 • Couples
The tour was actually very well organised, at least for us. The pick-up spot was local and very close, and we were fortunate to get one of the mini-bus tours (16 people) rather than the large bus. We were also very fortunate to have Norburt as our guide, as he was enthusiastic, funny, and very fluent!

We booked our tour for a Saturday, which meant traffic was low, and he took us around to see a few 'extra' things on the way back, after completing what was considered the whole tour.

Everything was done quite well, except for one complaint. I was interested in getting souvenirs, and would have liked a bit of time to shop in the marketplace. The tour company arranged for us to have about 10 minutes or so to shop in one of the "Ministry of Tourism Approved" places. I found them high-priced and pushy, and did not enjoy that part of my experience.

However, I am rating the tour itself, not the shopping. The tour was amazing and informative, so that gets the five-star rating from me!

Be aware, though...it is a lot of walking, including over uneven pavement and stones, up uneven stairs, and for June, it was also hot. Just keep that in mind.

Thanks for this honest review of your satisfaction of the tour guided by Norbert. He sure is worthy of your praise and feedback. We are always happy to read when travelers come away with a memorable and enlightening tour experience. We do have a designated shop stop, as we cannot let travelers wander off on their own in the Old city. as inevitably always get lost, and cause delays todisrupt tour shedule. Yes it hot in June, and the Old CIty is crowded indeed.

Amazing experience, rich with history
Liat our tour guide was so well prepared to guide our group thru Old Jerusalem and educate on the holy sites. Her delivery is clean, it was like listening to an audio book. She speaks 5 languages fluently and said the same info in English and Spanish. What a wonderful way to spend a day being filled with history and blessings. I will request her to be my guide when I book another tour.

Visit to Jerusalem, masada desert & dead sea - YOAV MALACHI my tourit guy
Feb 2019 • Solo
I visited Jerusalem on 8th feb 2019, masada desert & dead sea on 9th feb 2019. Both are awesome places, life time experience for us. YOAV MALACHI was my guide cum driver for both the trips, could not have enjoyed without him, he has so much of knowledge about the places, also we never gets tried in explain the things, even while driving the cab he keeps explaining about each every place while crossing it, very friendly and smart guy. Strongly recommend to visit Jerusalem, masada desert & dead sea during your visit in Israel, book the tourism with ben harim, they have organised very nicely, you should be lucky to get YOAV MALACHI as your guide.
