We booked this day-trip to the Mekong Delta as we want to avoid all the touristy shop adventures which the reviews of the bus trips are all about. And happily we were not disappointed. The trip started with a prompt pick up at our hotel a short drive to the pier. From there onwards we travelled by speedboat, got to see a farm house, had a short sampan trip and walked through rice fields. All with nice and fun stories from our great guide Hang. She really gave us good insights on our walk across the market and towards a Cao Dai temple. When visiting a school we also got a little introduction to Vietnamese language from her. Thanks a lot, Hang, for this great day.

Really good tour. Highly recommend using them and getting in early. Just as we were leaving it was starting to really build up with other tourists. You miss all the traffic, get coffee, water, breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Tour group is small and the guide/s are really good!

This experience was amazing. From the hotel pickup to the speedboat cruise along the river all the way to Cu Chi Tunnels. Our tour guide was very informative and kept our group very interested throughout the whole day. Finishing the tour off with a traditional Vietnamese lunch, which was provided, was great too.

Choosing to go to Cu Chi tunnel by speed boat was the best idea. Service was really good and well organised. You can enjoy the ride and get some fresh air while on the river before arriving to the tunnels. Bau was giving us exhaustive explanation while visiting the site. They will make you try going through the tunnel... you will have to bend and depending on your height to squat since they are low and tight

We were picked up at the hotel at 7:15 and arrived at the harbor where the boat was waiting. At the boat there was snacks and drinks and after 90 minutes we arrived to the tunnels. The guide explained the tunnels and history to us before we went back to Saigon by boat again. In Saigon we had lunch at the restaurant next to the harbor.

Did the half day by speedboat to cu chi tunnels with Harry as our guide. Everything was on time, Harry arriving promptly at our hotel for collection. Speed boat was fun with drinks/snacks provided (remember to take a jumper, it gets chilly). Harry's guide of cu chi tunnels was informative. Good to arrive early (morning tour) as not too crowded. Would highly recommend.

We took this tour, Cu chi tunnels and country side tour from Les Rives A van and tour guide picked us up from the hotel promptly at 0700 and we were taken to the harbour and loaded onto a speedboat the guide was very informative and explained what was happening during the day and what we were about to do he was also very good in showing people on the tour where toilets where throughout the trip. There about 16 people altogether on the speedboat. The ride was about an hour and a half away from tunnels during the journey we were given plenty of drinks as well as fresh food sandwiches and pastries on arrival we were taken for a short walk to the tunnels. Following ticket ( handed to you just before entry by guide) entrance and a short film. The guide Chung ( apologies for name spelling). then went on to explain about the history and the living conditions of the local people during the war period he made it He made it far more interesting by relating stories from his own personal family experiences. This included going in some very small tunnels so if chunky be aware. Chung our guide was very diplomatic. There is also a range with fixed weapons to fire at cost per round. Look at living conditions al bet it sanitised. After the visit we were then going to go by transit van on a number of sites on the return to Siagon the rest of the group went back to the boat. The country side tour included a vist to a rice paper workshop where we had a go at making rice pancake with a lovely lady. A vegetable farm then to a rubber plantation and a cricket farm at the cricket farm you were you were offered the chance to try some out to eat we declined and felt under no pressure at all to eat them lunch had been served at the Coochee tunnels it was actually really good. overall the tour guide really made a difference. The is very well organised and well run and staff bend over backwards to make sure everyone is happy I would highly recommend it.

I would like to mention and thank Bình for his enthusiasm, impeccable English and his ability in providing accurate historical facts in a very concise manner.

We booked this tour as family group and the shuttle arrived on time (7am). The lady made us feel comfortable very fast and the trip from our place to the speedboat was pleasant. The van is modern, spacious and is equipped with air conditioning.

As soon as we arrived, we were warmly greeted and the trip to Cu Chi on the speedboat was very charming. Fresh drinks and coffees were served as well as some fruits and complimentary Vietnamese “Banh Mi”.

The tour itself - we thought - was very educational and interesting to learn from the Viet Congs’ perspectives. This isn’t your traditional tour where you just walk around and listen but instead you get to crawl and experience how much the Viet Congs had to suffer throughout the war. Bình made it very factual and provided great amount of details when we were touring.

The shooting range was the highlight for myself, partner and sister. It’s all done in a very secure environment and god was it fun. We fired up the AK47 and M16. Other rifles and machine guns were made available.

The tour ended with a very generous local Vietnamese lunch composed of many dishes.

We then traveled to the countryside and got to experience how the locals live.

2 days later, I still think about this tour. Thanks again Bình for your constant enthusiasm. I would recommend this to anyone who are interested in war history as well as outdoors. You can elect to navigate “real” tunnels (dirt and excitement) but they’ve also built a more suitable type of tunnel for those who don’t necessarily enjoy navigating dark pitch tunnels. The ones built for tourists have plenty of lights, better ventilation and still a very amazing experience.

This was a little more money, and I was hesitant to spend it... but sooo worth it. Rather than squeeze yourself into a packed bus and take 2 hours to get there, the Les Rives Boat took just over an hour And was exhilarating! We left at 7 from our hotel by pickup, and we were at cu chi by 8:30 ish.

They had food and water for us (constantly) and a fantastic tour guide. He has his own personal stories to tell and excellent English which made it a pleasure to be with him and chat. He didn’t spend too long at boring things and knew how to keep us moving. Although the movie is boring and long for kids.

In my opinion this was the best small tour we did in vietnam in our month visit. The kids loved it , seeing the booby traps, watching their dad fire an AK47, and crawling a tunnel.
Do yourself a favour and crawl a tunnel. For those who don’t like small spaces the first 15 m one is easy! You only have to bend over. I’m a smaller woman but my hubby was 120kg and he was ok. We did the The 30 metre one and this was enough for me and him. but kids were busting to do longer. Unfortunately you have to choose the tunnel length up front so you can’t go back for more. Kids that are confident and perhaps over 8 yrs could easily manage the 50 m. There are lights all the way along and a guide. It’s a must do!

The lunch provided at the end was generous and made for an excellent ending to our day. Well done Les Rives.. you knew how to care for your guests and we are grateful for a great experience.
